Ink Drop felt a slight of relieve after he heard the word 'no' from Steel, yet he was still doubtful about the Hajoon zebras, they were usually very persistent on trying to capture something that they wanted really bad; most of all they should be chasing the group during this time of the day. Then the sound of a pair of small diaphanous wings fell to his ears, the source was quite far. Ink Drop then realized, "Oh... how could I be so stupid!" he called forth Steel again, "Steel!" he yelled out to the sky where Steel was, "Help me gather up some parasprite husks." Ink Drop revealed what he had heard moments before, it was the sound of a parasprite wings buzzing around near a tree. "And gather up some shiny pebbles why you're at it... time to do some arts and crafts."

It was the parasprites all along that was keeping the Hajoons away, their superstition of the dark was only parasprites that flew around in the night air, and with the humidity levels at this time of the day, parasprites would up flying around all over the place. 

 

((@@dashian500,, I hope Steel loves to do some arts and crafts... we're gonna make parasprite dummies to mark our previously walked path.))

Grand found a large flat area to rest in so she pulled herself up to it and promptly laid down. " thank celestia" she bresthed, her legs were sore and she was exhausted. " I think we all deserve. Good nights rest" she smiled before curling up and falling fast asleep, her mechanical leg still attached

"You see the parasprites flying around, and if you had met Zecora... well, she's not a Hajoon but she knows about the parasprites. Hajoons are afraid of this cute little devils, because they eat everything they could see." Ink Drop tried to explain his plan briefly to Steel who seemed to be completely clueless on what Ink Drop was planning to do. "Speaking of which, tell the others to secure their food supplies, actually, there are plenty of fruits out in the wild right here but we can't risk food poisoning."

The tied a short vine to one parasprite's husk and stick in the shining pebble, ultimately giving the nuance of the parasprite to be somewhat still alive. "There... one down, and fifteen more to go." he held one up closely to his eyes, observing the piece of 'improvised art' he had recently made. Ink Drop kept on making from that point on, can't be too careful...

" i keep watch while you do that inkdrop" steel said while taking flight and hovering a good ten feet in the air and pulled his daggers out i hab=ve got to wash up soon but at least ill look terrfiing to anypony that might want to mess with us steel thought

"Roger that, Steel." Ink Drop did not turn back, he was too focused on crafting fake parasprites as a distraction tool for the group to use. "Ten down..." he put down yet another one closely to the pile that he had done, "Five more." As he tried to make it as alive as he could but it still looked rather dead when anypony took a closer look. Shortly enough, Ink Drop did all fifteen fake parasprites, "Sure hope this things would do..." It was more of a long shot, probability of success that the dummies would scare the Hajoons away was really thin, but it was worth a try since he had tried it before^[1] and it worked. 

 

[1] being chased throughout his whole journey when researching for his book (The Elements) -- before the viral outbreak.

"Already on it." Zeta replied back to Steel, taking off his armor to rest and sat down next to Grand. He looked upon the exhausted pony and felt a little sad, knowing that having three logical legs is hard to use when you normally cant feel the other one. But he kept it aside for now and started to sooth her with his hoof, hoping that it would calm her down a bit.

"I don't think fighting's your style, Grand... I think you would be suited as more of an entertainer, a morale booster, even though it makes you feel bad to only give support.."

"We'll rest here, but we need to keep moving in about six hours, get some sleep while you can, everypony." Fire Horn said.
"Good, i'm tired." Starburst said, putting down his crystal-filled bag and laying his head on it.
Missy gestured for Fire Horn to come over to where she was lying, he sat down and she rested her head on him.
"Love you..." Was all that could be heard before Missy fell fast asleep.

Ink Drop approached the group as he was having trouble carrying the dummy parasprites, the little things kept on dropping out from his hoof and rolled around as he carried it, "Okay, everyone take one or two..." then he saw some of the ponies were fast asleep, "maybe just pass it around... or maybe I'll hold it for a while." he started to put them all in his satchel and went out to the open again to keep watch.

Proximity alarm trap was all set complemented with a bunch of parasprite dummies to scare them off if the zebras managed to get in too close, Ink Drop widened his eyes, trying to keep awake although he does have this minor insomnia. 

 

((Need to sleep as well, Ink Drop will catch up along any elevated path. I have something to do that needs my full attention and I need to be awake the whole time.))

Hearthsong was looking at the moderately sized group from a small grassy plateau above them. He sniffed the air and watched them attempting to judge them on whether or not they'd be hostile if he approached them. He lied down closer to the grass to disguise himself. Sniffing the air again, he could tell that he wasn't the only one that was tracking them. He looked to his hut a little ways off, he could risk it and offer them sanctuary. He decided to sit, musket at the ready, waiting to be found.

Grand blinked her eyes open. She stretched and yawned, but stopped, looking up and seeing a figure watching them. She saw every pony sleeping and steel watching the other direction. She saw the outline of a gun. Grand equipped her dagger quietly and began to walk towards the figure, hoping it wasn't hostile. She assumed it would've attacked already if it was.

Fire Horn's ears pricked up, he heard a rustling, coming from somewhere, he had a feeling, as though they were being watched, he was about to get up quickly, when he remembered Missy was still sleeping, he pushed Missy off slowly as not to wake her up, then tip-hoofed over to Grand and Steel.

"Does somepony want to tell me what's going on? I heard a sound." Fire Horn whispered.

Steel tilts his head toowerds the pony with a gun "me ad grand are going to check it out than sh will begain her training" steel said as they walked hectook flight "I'll go up first and talk to him or her if they try to attack me be ready ok with a gun might get killed or injured pretty bad" steel said then took off up to te stranger

"hey put the gun down and don't make any sudden moves I don't wan to kill you but I will if I have to" steel said with a hard edge to his voice

Grand pushed steels gun down. "Now I'm sure we can all be diplomatic ponies about this. I'm grand finale, might I ask why your watching us? You clearly have no intent to hurt us, as I'm sure you would have already if that was your plan" she said, stepping in front of the boys, a little flustered they followed her

"grand iv seen the worst in ponies and even tho he could have killed and didn't does not mean he didn't plan to maybe he was still trying go decide" steel said "I haven't survived this long by trusting anypony that hasn't tried to kill me just remember some wait and try to gain your trust then kill you and take your supplies" steel had his daggers out the whole time always ready for an attack

Next to Grand, he sat guarding over everypony with Steel helping out as well. Now he didn't notice the other pony watching them from afar, until Grand slowly got up and walked over towards another figure.

Being Zeta of course, he readied himself and stayed behind her until then. "So, who would be this new peep..?"

Hearth sensed the alarm in the air and knew that they found him. He stood up leaning against his musket. He kept his hooves in the open to avoid any alarm. He tilted his hat up and smiled. "Howdy." he said to the first to approach him. "Ya know it's mighty dangerous to stay out in the open this long. Things ain't exactly a 'family friendly' environment."

"Yes we've learnt that quite quickly" she smiled, sticking her hoof out. "It's nice to meet you... I don't believe I caught your name" she said a little awkwardly. She hadn't realized half of the camp had followed her up. "Please excuse him, we have been through a lot today" she said warmly

"Yeah, we know. Now get out of here, don't want any unfortunate incidents to occur, now do we?" Fire Horn asked rhetorically.

Missy began to awake, judging by the position of the sun, it had only been 4 hours. It wasn't enough sleep but it would have to do.

"Honey? What's going on? Missy asked, still half-asleep.

"Nothing, just some guy watching us, he's armed so watch out." Fire Horn said.

Stephan lied down on ground and took out a piece of paper and a writing utensil. While the others were busy with yet another new pony, Stephan focused on something he should've done long before the outbreak; writing a letter to his family on Earth. They were probably worried from not hearing from him after so many years. He thought it was about time they did. He sat alone in a corner, as he just wanted a moment to himself.

(But, of course that doesn't have to happen.)
