Grand tapped her hoof on the ground impatiently. She looked at missy and frowned before turning her head away before she could see her. It hadn't hit grand until now what she was feeling. Jealousy. She shook the thought from her head, though she still picked at the ground, trying to occupy her mind away from the thought

Stephan screeches to a halt beside the group and he looks as confident as ever. "Yeah! Time to rock and roll!" He said in a cheerful tone. He looked at Missy, who seemed to be doing just fine. He really didn't want to bring up what happened in the cave. He just wanted to keep it to himself. He then looked at Grand, who looked a bit mad. "You doing okay?"

Hearth moved on his mind a blur. Every time he tries to think, or be alone something happens. Every time he tries to talk to someone, somepony interrupts. He's got patience, but one day it could run out, and he'll snap at somepony. "Hehe." He chuckles, as he pushes these thoughts away.

Grand looked up "no, im fine. Lets get going shall we?" she said, rushing out of the cave, as fast as a three legged pony could. "we have a lot of ground to cover if we are going to get there as soon as possible. we havent much time until the sun comes out anyways" she says, her voice sounding a bit rushed

Finally finishing up, he trotted behind the rest of the group, seeing Stephan and Hearth around Grand as of now. It was there where he let out a little sigh, but kept his hopes high on this journey. Zeta really wanted to ask how far this shrine would soon be, but since she was already occupied he didn't bother and kept on walking.

Stephan wished he could just grab everypony in the group and dash to the shrine. If he could, they'd be there in minutes. But, in reality, the extra weight would just make him go slower. So, it'd be completely pointless. Stephan began walking ahead of the group. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Stephan said.

Missy looked on after Grand had rushed out of the cave, she wanted to find out what was troubling her, but they had to leave.
So both Missy and Fire Horn exited the cave and they began their journey to the shrine.
Missy was walking almost on her own.

The air was already growing dry and sand became a more common scene. Grand could already feel her throat drying up. "is everypony alright? no need for breaks?" she asked, hoping nopony would say anything. She wanted to get to the shrine as soon as possible, this island was really getting to her. A figure appeared beside her, though it felt as though she already knew it. She looked at everyone else, nobody seemed to notice the figure. "hello?"

The figure replied "hey, whats up?"

Grand knew she was beginning to lose it

Stephan couldn't stand it anymore. He could tell for a while that there was something up with Grand. He was beginning to lose it on this island, and he was pretty sure she was, too. He slowed down and walked beside her. "Grand, could I ask you something?"

Hearth scooted to the back. He just wanted a few moments of peace. His memories were enough to send the normal pony to madness, and it was even starting to get to him. His mind was muddled, and he occasionally had sweating fits. He just needed to think. Or talk?

Missy began to feel the change in scenery, from volcanic to arid lands. Her throat became dry and her hooves felt sand, she started feeling uneasy on her bad leg. Fire Horn propped her up a little.
"If you need any water, we have some remember." Fire said. Missy chuckled.
"Just because i'm pregnant doesn't mean i'm any more important than anyone else."

"nope, theres nopony there, just... thought i saw a snake is all! thought I would distract myself from the walk by... saying hi to the snakes" she said, making up an excuse. The figure snickered. She glared at it. "Sure Stephan, whatever you want to talk about" she smiled, ignoring the figure laughing next to her. maybe the figure was real.

Stephan didn't really see any snakes there. He was sort of perplexed. Still, he ignored the matter and focused on Grand. "Have you been experiencing some... well, bad dreams lately? Because you don't really seem to be taking all of this well." He said, speaking in a calm tone.

"well, everyone has nightmares, its not just me" she said, trying to ignore the other pony.

"Your pretty crazy ya know, Im living proof of that"

Grand ignored and smiled. "Im just peachy. how are you holding up? you seem to be having a bit of a hard time as well" she said. The figure snickered. "Yeah, nice save, Looney!"

Zeta overheard the last comment she had made, and decided to walk up next to her. "Actually, i'd kind of put you just that little bit higher above everypony now, considering about your status. Don't take it like i'm trying to make some lie up to make you feel better, since it's not a lie. I couldn't ever do it to anypony, not even the ones I hate."

"Well, I think all of this is beginning to get to me. I thought I could handle it before, but I've never adventured under such circumstances before." He confessed. "I mean, just before leaving, thousands of images of our past experiences flooded my consciousness."

"oh, yes, im sure thats been happening to all of us" she said, her voice beginning to be a little too sing songy. "we are almost there though, and we will all be home lickety split!

Grands eye twitched. " I sure hope nopony around here finds it amusing to insult other ponies, just a thought" she said, saying it out in general.

Stephan noticed Grand's eye twitch. He raised and eye, shrugged, and nodded. "I second that, Grand. All we have to do is make it through this desert, then I'll plug the device into the mech and we'll be home free." Stephan said. He hoped she was okay. He could see that this perilous journey was starting to take it's toll on everybody.

"man, these ponies must be pretty dumb not to see your craziness. Cuz its sooo showing. Ya know ya wanna respond, dont ya?" the figure taunted, elbowing grand. She let out a grumble. "Well Missy, lets say this. You now may have two ponies to keep alive. You get priority food because technically, at this moment, you may have to supple two seperate bodies" The figure looked at grands leg.

"Hey tripod, havin some troubles?" Grand glared at the figure next to her.

"Thank you, but i don't want to take any kind of priority when it comes to supplies." Missy said. "Everyone gets equal share of water, we'll need it." Missy shuffled, feeling a little uncomfortable because of the sand.

Fire Horn interjected. "We need to take care of y..."

"No, i need to take care of me." Missy replied.

Zeta just nodded a bit. His outer armor started to become hot from the summer heat but it acted like a barrier as well which kept most of his body cool. Aside from that, he took a little notice to her feet and thought.

"Missy, if the bottoms of your hooves get too hot then take the leg and shoe parts of my armor. It acts like an insulator which keeps it cooled down."

"Why, thank you, Zeta, they'll probably make me look like a princess, though." Missy said, while putting the armor bits on her hooves, "That feels weird, especially because of the metal leg. But it's definitely cooler. About 20% cooler to be precise." Missy chuckled.

"That would mean it's working properly then." Shrugging and giving a smile. "I would give you the whole armor set, but alas: it weighs at around 130 pounds for all of it. The leggings are the lightest piece, and since it blocks from the hot sand it really helps out a lot from the padding inside."

 

"Besides, it's the least I could do for you ever since I got angry from when Stephan had ran away from the boat. And about that, i'll say i'm sorry for being so stubborn at the time.."

"No need to apologize to me for anything, what's in the past is in the past." Missy hugged Zeta. "Besides, you did let me borrow your revolver, with recent events, i'm glad i didn't pull the trigger, i wouldn't just have been killing myself, i would have been killing my own child.
