Kaz was surprised to hear this genre of music being played by a pony who usually makes some of the sickest dubtrot drops in the underground scene. Kaz didn't care though but all of a sudden realised, the soft piano track he imagined whilst slowly pacing the stairs was now being thrown around the room by Bass' mixer. This is it. Go, now. Without a word, Kaz stepped towards Bass and tilted his muzzle down into the soft curvature of this handsome stallions neck. He breathed softly against his fur and then looked up into Bass' gleaming eyes. Kaz brushed his horn against Bass' and sparks flew from all over. Still staring into the enchanting eyes of Bass, Kaz waited for a move to be made.

After preying on hapless drunk ponies, Starshine grew bored. He was getting rather full, but there was nothing interesting happening so far. Other than some shady-looking ponies talking to each other, nothing noteworthy happened. He took another biscuit from a stolen canister next to him, but the sudden boom in the music caught him off guard. The canister and its content fell on a dark blue pegasus. Starshine laughed. "Sorry about that!"

"Uh huh, that's good... and..." Bubble's face lit up as she finished the sketch. "Perfect!"

 

'Perfect' might not have been the best word. Words like 'abysmal', 'terrible', or 'unfit for viewing' might have been more appropriate. Still, to bubble it looked exactly like the scene. She flicked the notebook closed carefully and tucked it away.

"Sorry I made you spill your drink, I'll buy you another one, HEY BARTENDER, THIS GUY NEEDS A DRINK, ON ME! Oh, and give me a cider, no more ale for me," he said. He also said, under his breath, "Not after what happened earlier."

Bass was caught off guard by the move of the stallion, but didn't pull away, as much as he thought he'd pull away, he didn't... couldn't. Something about the unicorn staring deeply into his eyes held him there... fixed on those deep purple irises. Without a word, Bass simply closed his eyes, and pulled the unicorn into a kiss. He didn't know what was happening, he had no train of thought, everything just vanished... all there was was there and now.

"Can I see it then? I want to see how you did." Lightning smiled, trotting over to the mare. I know it isn't perfect, she's Bubble for Celestia's sake. But...at least she tried, unlike some people here in Baltimare. He sighed as he stopped by Bubble and waited for a response.

Something about the unicorn staring deeply into his eyes held him there... fixed on those deep purple irises. Without a word, Bass simply closed his eyes, and pulled the unicorn into a kiss. He didn't know what was happening, he had no train of thought, everything just vanished... all there was was there and now.

Their minds became melded in a supernova of pure nothingness. The beauty lay within the thoughtlessness and within the emotions within Kaz's heart that were evoked by such a primal instinct. Kaz refused to pull away from this kiss knowing that this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Any chance Kaz had to keep this stallion, with his sweet tasting lips caressing his own, would be taken.

After a what felt like a lifetime, the kiss broke and Kaz glanced up at Bass. "Oh gosh, I'm... I'm so..." Kaz's eyes let out a few small tears and he leant in for another kiss. Kaz dropped his hoof on top of Bass' and slowly stroked his tanned fur up and down. "You're so gorgeous." Kaz whispered into Bass' ear whilst letting his warm breath roll down his neck. Kaz pulled at the older stallion, beckoning him without even moving and moving him without even a word being uttered.

 

They both collapsed onto the couch in Kaz's apartment which felt like it was being illuminated by a thousand galaxies.

"Uh... " She glanced down at the beaten brown book sitting in the bag "I guess so, but don't turn the pages or anything" She said nervously, removing it again and flicking through to the right page.

 

Most of the book was filled with scribblings and scientific diagrams, crossings out and footnotes. Towards the back this changed to drawings: Bubble's form of maps. Most were terrible, but maybe one in ten was actually really beautifully sketched.

 

"There!" She said proudly, showing him the disaster.

 

"It's my sisters book and I promised her I wouldn't let anypony else look through it you see..oooohhwwa." A yawn interrupted her explanation.

 

"Um... I think I should go pay for a room. Do you live around here Lightning? Your nice." She beamed, evidently much more tired than she had felt.

 

 

As am I! So I shall return after a few hours sleep, left the post open ended so that Lightning can stay or go while I'm gone.

 He saw the sketch and smiled. "It's still better than what I can do." He giggled, surprised at how good it was...in his eyes, anyways.
"I don't really live anywhere...I just came to visit when I heard that MusicMare was going to preform...in the same club where my ears bled." He shrugged.

Sunny was having a lot of fun. She thought her dancing was horrible, but Candy didn't seem to mind. She looked at Candy and giggled a bit at her dancing, It was kind of dorky, but she still looked gorgeous, especially under these lights.

"Not sure. She's probably still on her way."

"Hi Pink Mist, we were just wondering where you were. Did you just get here?"

"Whoa whoa no drink for me. I'm barely legal to drink!" Starshine hurriedly teleported to the ground below next to the half-drunk pegasus. He grabbed a towel and started to rub the liquid off his fur. From up close, it was rather clear that the pegasus was rather wasted. There was even a lingering scent of somepony throwing up. "Mister, maybe you should go home now before you hurt yourself."

Candy smiled wider every time she heard Sunny giggle. If she had to describe it, it was the cutest giggle she had ever heard in her life. "I think I'm really falling for her..."

She had to admit, she wanted to be freinds with Pink Mist, but at the same time she felt slightly threatened that Pink might try and steal Sunny. Perhaps it was just the feelings Candy was having. At the sight of Pink, Candy immediately scooted close to Sunny. "I'm a bit tired from dancing." She was. She sort of leaned on Sunny, now, only lightly though. She was getting more tired the more she leaned on Sunny, and soon had to support herself. In her tiredness and in a wave of infatuation, she couldn't resist saying it, "You're perfect."

That moment, Bass felt a change come over him... or at least it felt like a change. He wasn't sure. As a matter of fact, he wasn't sure of anything right now... He just fell with the other stallion onto the couch. After all, he grew up only ever looking at mares, so he'd thought he was straight, but the feeling of Kaz's passion filled kiss seemed to overthrow those thoughts instantly. Gender didn't matter, he was just enjoying the feeling of having somepony to be with... He then noticed the song was ending, and without breaking the kiss, used his magic to change the track to the other slow piece he'd composed just that day.

Kaz noticed the song change and his eyes awoke in a frenzy. "I... Like... This... One..." Kaz hushed, pecking Bass between each word. Kaz threw his hooves around Bass' strong neck and draped them across his back. Kaz's back sank deep into the cushions, his tail between his legs like a frightened puppy. He still couldn't contemplate what was happening. He brushed his mane out of his eyes and slowly moved one of his hooves up Bass' back and through his mahogany mane. "I... Don't want... This to... End, baby."

"Trying to find a special somepony, here?" Starshine raised an eyebrow in mild confusion before breaking into laughter. "You'll have a better luck finding a special somepony on the top of a skyscraper than here! Deejee brezero... Uhm, Richard, funny name. Mine is Starshine."

 

The colt looked around him for any bouncer that thought it might be a good idea to kick him out of the building. Satisfied that there was none, he turned back to Richard. The pegasus spoke of a hotel suite, this one was a rich pony. "So... I guess you're some kind of a DJ then? Why don't you go up there and claim the turntables as your own?" Starshine spoke out of randomness.

"DJ-BR0N-3, and I would, but I'd probably get kicked out of a building, and I don't care what you say about me not being able to find a special somepony here, I'll bet you 250 bits that I'll 'Get Lucky,' before tomorrow morning, I can hypnotize women with my charms, one thing I love about being a DJ," Richard replied.

After being alone for so long from all the travelling... finally, he had somepony, or at least that's the signal he was getting. Starshine merely laughed heartily at the offer. He gave the stallion a quick pat. "No need to bet any kind of bits. I'm sure you can find the special somepony! Just don't try anything illegal. That 250 bits? Better use them to buy some hangover pills. " He snickered and then left the pegasus' side to explore the building deeper.

 

MusicMare was certainly lively at this time of the night. Countless of ponies in various attire packed tightly on the dancing floor, bumping and grinding against each other. Starshine slipped into a spot at the corner, just behind the railing, and eyed the floor for anything valuable that might fallen off its owner. Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed a mare was drawing a stallion. He chuckled, what a weird time to practice one's drawing skill.

He still felt tears, but held them back, and just pushed his face into the soft white coat of the stallion next to him, nuzzling softly, a soft but meaningful smile spreading across his face. "I couldn't be happier, I honestly don't think it's possible. This is perfect."

Kaz had dreamed of meeting this stallion with the hopes of getting a passing glance or an autograph but right now, he was lay next to him, holding him in his hooves. "I'm so tired, baby." Kaz forced through a yawn. "I wish I could just lie here with you, forever." He shivered as he spoke. The cold spring air was climbing through an open window and Kaz slammed it shut with his magic. Kaz pushed himself closer to Bass and could feel him caressing every curvature of Kaz's body.

Kaz's yawn forced a similar one out of Bass. He just continued to smile, and caressed even tighter against his partner, enough for him to notice, but not enough to hurt. A calm "Mhm, me too," was all he could muster in response to the stallion, his mind being completely away, in total bliss. As he carressed, he felt the grip of the white unicorn's forehooves around his, and smiled more.
