(Narration)

News of the death of the princesses was not a secret in any way. Although it was only now that news of the death of both the princesses was spread throughout Canterlot, a large portion of the cities population gathered around the castle to honour the death of their rulers.

Ponies of all ages gathered and music could be heard throughout the entire city as all of Equestria was now in a state of depression and heavy sadness.

(RP time is 11:55pm. Minath, in your next post the Spirit of Luna should be released, and the action taken in my previous post will also take effect.)

Tempest sighed, as he heard the music. "I wish there was something to do to help." He thought. The cyan pegesus then shrugged, and hummed to the music that was being played.

Xena sensed the midnight hour closing in. "Soon, the future will be set in stone, and the fight against this demon shall turn in our favor." He thought, his anticipation growing with each passing second.

After Tempest finished his speech, it was then Crimson who trotted in front of Luna's coffin to speak. "As some of you may know, I was...very close to Luna...she was one of my first friends, and me, one of hers...we've always stood by each others side and trusted one another, because we we're both outsiders...we both knew what it felt like to be hated, cursed, and feared for our past crimes...the more time we spent together, the more we liked one another, and for awhile, we we're more than just friends...however, after meeting new friends, I learned to forgive myself for my past sins, but Luna never did...she always felt that darkness inside of her, and hated herself for it...this is what led to us eventually growing separate...yet dispute her past, I always saw her as one of the most kind, beautiful, and amazing mares I've ever met...and I always hoped to see her realize that...But thanks to Caras, I will never get to see that happen...and it is because of this, that I swear on my blood, life, and my very soul, to kill Caras at all costs...with extreme prejudice...long live the memory of Luna, princess of the night...and one of the only mares I ever loved..." he said, before quietly trotting over to a wall and leaning against it, his back to the others, in an attempt to hide his tears.

After Crimson's speech, Tempest wanted to bash his face into a brick wall.

Xena sighed, and materialized as a spirit next to Tempest. "He's going to find out eventually." He said. "You might as well tell them the truth."

The cyan pegesus simply nodded. "I know." He said, not really caring if anypony heard. "I'll tell them after Luna gives her power to somepony. I doubt it'll be me, though."

The aura beast of time simply laughed. "You'd be surprised." He said.

The city fell silent as the clocks struck midnight. The storm stopped and the sky cleared as Lunas body became her magic energy. The city bellow was wondering who she would pick to be her heir to the throne. It was a question that was to be anwered soon as her magic energy made its was to the next heir.

(May the heir to the throne step forward and claim your power.)

(Surprise. It's Tempest.)

Tempest smiled, as he trotted towards the energy. "Luna, give me the strength to lead. Give me the strength to defeat the one that has caused all of this pain and suffering." He said. "Allow me to claim your power, as my own, and I will lead Equestria into a new golden age." The cyan pegesus had finally come to accept what he had done, and he would so everything in his power to atone for what had done.

Lunas energy combined itself with Tempest, but before she gave him her powers she spoke to him one last time.

"Tempest, you served me for many years as my most trusted guard, but you where more than that, you where my friend, and I thank you for giving me hope for the future. I can see inside of you potential for the great prince, a great ruler. Now go, and lead Equestria into a new age, defeat the one that we where to weak to kill, go and be the ruler this land needs."

After her speech Luna granted Tempest full control over her power, combining them with his own.

Tempest felt Luna's energy enter his body, and closed his eyes. "Thank you, Luna." He whispered, as his body absorbed the energy and was surrounded by light. The cyan pegesus then felt his body shift as it adjusted to the massive amount of magical energy within it. When the transformation was complete and the light subsided, Tempest was about a 50% taller, and had a horn. "Well, this is interesting." The newly transformed alicirn's horn then glowed and surrounded him a ball of light. He then disappeared into the time space continuum.

Xena sighed, as he watched time rewind. He knew what Tempest was thinking, and he would help the cyan alicorn in anyway.

(Introducing Xecha, in case you do not follow the OOC http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/xecha-r5349)

The world was silent with sorrow of the loss of the princesses. After Luna's spirit was released into Tempest and he vanished the rain storm started once again.

The night left the city in atmosphere of darkness and evil, and these where the situations and feelings that xecha could be in. Near the top of cantelot city, just 10 meters away from the funeral, xecha was watching everyone their, with his large black eyes, motionless, starring.

(WARNING! WARNING! Long wall of Text ahead. Read at your own risk. By the way, Child of Darkness approved all of this)

Tempest appeared on the surface of a large mountain, and felt completely exhausted. “Xena, where in the name of Luna are we?” He asked, slightly curious that there was nothing but a mountain where Canterlot was. “Did we do this?”

Xena smiled, and shook his head. “No. We traveled back in time, to an era far before Caras or even Celestia and Luna. I believe the alicorn we’ll be seeing the most of, if we even get a chance to meet her, is the very first alicorn. I believe her name is Faust. Lauren Faust.“He said. “I’m sorry Tempest, but neither of us, nor the others, is strong enough to defeat Caras. Anyway, we should hurry to find my friends. Unfortunately, they are scattered across the globe. The only upside is that we have all the time in the world. If we are to gain their trust, however, you may need to prove that you are worthy. A few of them, though, won't be as hard to convince.”

The cyan alicorn nodded. “I can't wait to meet them." He said. "So, which of your friends is closest?"

Xena sighed, as he tried to recall who was the closest of their current. “Baz should be somewhere in Northern Equestria. As for the others, I don’t know where they might be at this time.” The aura beast then took control, and made Tempest fly in the intended direction. A few hours later, the duo was flying in a forest that was covered in a thick fog, and Xena was growing more anxious by the second. “We should be getting close to where Baz is.”

As if on cue, an aura sphere just barely missed Xena and Tempest. “That was a warning shot. I suggest you leave.” A voice said.

Xena smirked, as he made Tempest land, and materialized next to the cyan alicorn. “Baz, don’t you recognize me?” He asked. “I thought you would be overjoyed to see me.”

A slight chuckle could be heard, as the fog dissipated. Not too far from Xena and Tempest stood a pure white wolf with eleven tails. “I never expected to see you again, Xena.” The aura beast said, with a feminine voice. “I also never expected you to be in the body of such a weak looking pony.”

Xena laughed slightly, and nodded. “He’s stronger than he looks, my little Baz, but as much as I would love to make up for lost time, we have a major problem.” The aura beast then explained to Baz what had happened over the past few months, and also why he had come to the past. “So, will you be able to aid us in taking down the demon that haunts the present?”

Baz smiled, and nodded. “I will do what I can to help.” She said. “How do you intend to get all seven of us to the present?”

The aura beast of time smirked, and tapped his skull. “I have a plan for that, or I will.” He said. “You and the others will travel through the space time continuum with Tempest and I via the cyan alicorn's mind. Trust me; it’s bigger on the inside than the outside.”

Baz nodded, and sighed. “I missed you, Xena.” She said. “I’m ready when you are.”

Xena nodded, and went back into Tempest's mind, before he cast the required spell to bring an aura beast into one’s mind. “Are you comfortable?” He asked, wanting to make sure his friend was safe before the long flight that would most likely take place.

Baz nodded, and sighed. “Cella should be somewhere in Europe, and Icarus is most likely in Greece. I wish I knew where Nephyer and Vaketh were.”

Tempest simply nodded. “It shouldn't take to long to get to where we need to go.” He said, as he noticed the new aura beast within his mind. "So, you must be Baz. Xena's been talking about you."

The aura beast blushed slightly, and nodded. “You must be Tempest.” She said.

Xena sighed, as he listened to the conversation. “Anyway, we should go and find Icarus. He’ll be one of the easier one’s to convince. He does have a soft spot for ponies, along with every other being on this planet, after all.” The aura beast then let Tempest take control so that he could talk with Baz.

The cyan alicorn sighed, as he felt his body return to him, and flew into the air and towards Greece. Tempest flew so fast over the ocean that the water curved around him. “Hello passengers. This is your pilot speaking. We have about a five hour flight from Equestria to the beautiful island of Crete, so sit back and enjoy the ride.” Tempest then made a song that most would here at a romantic dinner within his mind, while he hummed “In the Hall of The Mountain King”.

Baz blushed, as she heard the song. “Tempest has quite the imagination, doesn’t he?” She asked.

Xena smiled slightly, and nodded. “I’m glad we’re doing this. It’s been a while since even six of us were together.” He said, before nuzzling Baz, causing her blush to deepen. The aura beast of time then fell asleep.

Baz sighed and fell asleep next to Xena. “I love you.” She whispered.

After a few hours, Tempest entered the Mediterranean Sea, and landed on the island of Crete. "Icarus must be close by." He thought. The cyan pegesus then noticed a abandoned castle with a pure white pony. Tempest shrugged, and trotted towards the pony. "Excuse me. I don't mean to intrude, but would you happen to be or know of a pony named Icarus?"

The pony looked at Tempest, and studied him for a bit. He then smiled, and nodded. "I am the one you seek." He said. "It's also good to see you, Xena and Baz."

Xena and Baz, or at least wolves that looked like them, materialized beside Tempest. "It's good to see you to, Icarus. I hope we didn't come at a bad time."

The white pony shook his head, and laughed. "Do not worry. You are always welcome in my home." He said. "The only question is, why are you here."

Tempest sighed, and explained to Icarus why the three of them were here. "So now that you know, will you help us?"

The aura beast nooded, and sighed. "Seeing as how I am the aura beast of good and light, then I have no choice but to help." He said. "The last I heard of Vaketh, he dwelled within Mount Vesuvius. As for Nephyer, he should be in Tarturus. I'm ready to go when you are."

Tempest smiled, and nodded. "Thank you." He said, before sealing Icarus into his mind. The two wolves beside Tempest also went back into his mind. "At least they aren't to far away." He thought, as he flew into the air.

When he arrived at the city of Pompeii, Tempest flew into the volcano, and noticed a fox with blonde fur bathing in the lava. "I could sense you a mile away, Xena. Now, why are you here?"

Tempest sighed, and explained why he and Xena where here. "So, I'm assuming that you're Vaketh?" He asked.

The aura beast simply smirked, and nodded. "I am he." He said. "Now, it's time to see if you are worthy of four aura beasts, but first a question. Are you the one who shall bring light or darkness to the world?"

Tempest was slightly confused, but decided to play along. "I fight for the good of all living beings. I will be the one to bring light to this world.

Vaketh nodded slightly, but showed no emotion. "Prove it." He said. The fox then lunged at Tempest, after shifting into a much smaller form.

The cyan alicorn smirked, and dodged the attack, before grabbing Vaketh by the tail. He then pulled the aura beast out of the volcano and threw him out into the ocean. Steam billowed from where the fox landed, and he smirked.

Vaketh climbed up onto a cliff, and fired multiple aura spheres at the cyan alicorn. "Let's see you dodge those. " He thought.

Tempest noticed the attack, and formed a shield out of his own aura. The shield took the brunt of the attack, but Tempest was still pushed back slightly. The cyan alicorn then thought of something, and landed on the ground. "I know how to prove my worth." He said, as he approached Vaketh. "Xena once told me that all aura beasts are good, and they fight for what's right. You're not my enemy, so I won't fight you."

Vaketh smiled slightly. "You have proven your worth, and I accept you as my tamer." He said.

The cyan alicorn nodded, and sealed Vaketh into his mind. "I guess that leaves Cella and Nephyer." He thought, as he flew into the air and towards France. Tempest soon found himself flying over another forest, but this time with deciduous trees. The weather was also slightly overcast. The cyan alicorn then landed in the forest, and sensed a strong prescence nearby. "That must be Cella." He thought, as he approached a nearby cave. "Hello. Is anyone in their?" He yelled, his voice echoing through the cave.

After a few seconds, a roar could be heard, and a large silver dragon landed right behind Tempest. "Let me guess, you're an aura tamer?" She asked.

Tempest turned around, and was slightly impressed. "Yes. I am, but I'm not here for the reason you think. I have traveled here from a distant time with Xena, and we are here to gather allies." He said. "A demon haunts my time, and we need help. Are you Cella?"

The dragoness nodded, and smiled. "I also detect a few more presences within your mind." She said. "I'm assuming that those are also my friends?"

The cyan alicorn nodded. "They are. Will you help us? If not, then I will hold no grudge. If you do, you'll be granted safety from those who would use your powers for their own gain."

Cella nooded, and was soon sealed into Tempest's mind. "It's good to be back among friends." She said, noticing Xena, Vaketh,Icarus, and Baz."

The aura beast of time nodded, and smiled. He then turned his attention to Tempest. "Before we progress further in our task, Tempest, I need to tell you something." He said. "As you are quite aware, each specific aura beast has a certain ability that is used to keep this world alive. We cannot truely die, but it'll take a indescribably long time for our bodies to reform. As for our abilities, I might as well be the one to explain that. Baz is the aura beast of love and nature. Vaketh, as you probably have already guessed, is the aura beast of fire, war, and destruction. Cella is the aura beast of the winds and storms. The last aura beast, Nephyer, is the representation of death and darkness."

The cyan alicorn nodded. "I understand. Thank you for that knowledge." He said, remembering where Icarus said Vaketh dwelled. "It looks like we'll have to go to Tartarus for this one." He thought, as he searched through the memories he received from Luna for the correct spell. His horn then glowed, and a portal leading to the offspring of chaos, otherwise known as Tartarus, appeared in front of Tempest."This is going to be interesting." He thought, as he stepped through. The ground itself was scorched and blistered. The sky, or what Tempest thought to be a sky, was as red as his eyes. Tempest also noticed that he was on a flat stretch of land that was the crossing point of the five rivers of Tartarus. "I think we just stepped through the doors of death." He thought. The cyan alicorn then noticed a entire army of giants, undead, titans, and other mythical creatures that are mostly interpreted as evil heading straight for him. "You have got to be kidding me." He thought, as he formed his trademark dual swords in his hooves. "Leroyyyyyyyy Jenkinnns!" He yelled, as he charged into the hoard of monsters. He cut down any that stood in his way, as he felt his rage build. "Listen to me creatures of Tartarus, I am here for one purpose: to find Nephyer and to save Equestria." He yelled, as he cut a demon in half.

As soon as he said that, the creatures backed away, as a ten headed snake burst from the blistered ground. The creature looked at Tempest, and simply smirked. "I was wondering when you would come here." It said.

The cyan alicorn sighed. "I'm just going to go ahead and assume that you're Nephyer. I need your help to destroy a demon that is plauging my time.

The giant snake rolled his eyes. "What makes you think that you can defeat your foe?" He asked.

Tempest simply facehoofed. He knew that he sounded a bit arrogant, but he was tired and hungry from all of the flying and fighting he had done for the past day and eight hours.

At that moment, Baz,Xena,Cella, Vaketh, and Icarus materialized next to the cyan alicorn. "Nephyer, we know that this pony is capable of amazing feats. He is able to control all five of us with minimal damage to his mental state. If we are to defeat this threat, all six of us will need to be present."

Nephyer simply sighed. "Fine. I shall help, but you must prove your worth. I have a simple riddle, and then you shall fight every monster here. First, the riddle: What has roots that nobody sees, and is taller than trees! Up, up it goes, and yet it never grows. "

Tempest recognized the riddle, seeing as it was one of the many his father had made him answer, and smirked. "The answer is a mountain." He said.

The aura beast of death smiled, and nooded. "Now, you fight. However, I can tell you are weary from you adventure. With that, a table of food, which consisted of a assortment of fruit, cheese, and bread, materialized in front of Tempest. "You will eat and sleep first."

The other five aura beasts then returned to Tempest's mind. The cyan alicorn looked at the food with a cautious gaze. "How do I know it isn't poisoned?" He asked.

Nephyer laughed slightly, before smiling. "Smart pony." He said. "Anyway, the food won't kill you. You're already in Tartarus, anyway."

Tempest looked at the food. He was hungry, but he didn't know if he should take it. "I might as well." He thought, before he began to devour the food set in front of him. The food, Tempest soon found out, was not poisonious. It was the most delicious meal the cyan alicorn had ever eaten, and it seemed to reinvigorate him. "Thank you. I should be ready for a good fight." He said, glancing at the aura beast of death.

Nephyer nodded, and the legions of monsters charged at Tempest. The snake disappeared behind the lines of monsters.

The cyan alicorn smirked, and fired multiple aura spheres at the creatures. One of the demons got through, and slashed at his back with extremely sharp claws. Tempest grit his teeth in anger, as he cut the demon in two. His aura healed the wound, as Tempest fought on, but the cyan alicorn could still feel the pain that coursed through his newly healed nerve endings. After what felt like hours, Tempest decapitated the last opponent, and waited for something else to pop up out of the ground.

Nephyer appeared in front of the alicorn, and smiled. "You have proven your worth, and I will go with you."

Tempest sighed in relief, and cast the spell to seal Nephyer within his mind. He then returned to the surface and noticed he was back in Equestria, and on the same mountain he had appeared on when he had first entered the time period. "Now, I just have to make it back to the present." He thought.

Xena sighed. "Tempest, there's something I need to tell you. I don't have enough energy to make it back to the present day Equestria." He said.

The cyan alicorn sighed, and smiled. "That's ok. There's actually an alternative way." He said, before entering a cave near the base of the mountain. He then used Vaketh's power over fire to heat the stone to the point where the entrance of the cave was sealed, and Cella's power over storms to cool off the molten stone. He then used Cella's power over wind to make cold air blow through the cracks in the walls, to freeze any moisture in the small room. Soon, the entire area was filled with ice, and the cyan alicorn was sealed in a tomb of ice. Tempest remained alive, however by using Vaketh's power over fire, again, to stabilize his internal body temperature.

Minath turned her head as Tempest disappeared. She knew where he was and what he was doing, thankfully, because royalty, when introduced as pairs such as Equinox and Solstice and Celestia and Luna, had a stronger mental bond than those introduced separately. It was even stronger because of the similar mental connections Tempest and herself shared.

Tempest... Faust dang it. I freaking hate the cold. So now you're going to make me go aaaaall the way back to Tartarus and unfreeze you. Great. But I guess the noble cause of collecting Aura Beasts was worth it...

Minath, after her internal monologue, sent a quick message to Rambler.

I'll be back soon.

Minath teleported out of the palace and as close to Tartarus as she could. When she was at the gates, she took flight into the shadowy realm.

@

It seems over time the demons of Tartarus had actually built a shrine around Tempest's cave, and Minath cut through the "worshipers" with glee. It had been to long sense she had last wielded a weapon.

I'm glad that I was present to coronate him... it would've been way more difficult without that...

Minath was especially skilled as a tactitian and using shielding and combat spells. While most unicorns, or even alicorns, tried to avoid pouring emotion into their spells, Minath had always found her spells to work better the more emotion she had. She poured every ounce of her being into her spells as thoughts flitted into her consciousness.

Why am I just now sensing Tempest? Shouldn't he have been here all along? Or did the actions in the present cause actions in the past to take place? Would it have been possible for this outcome to not have happened and we enter some kind of "doomed timeline"?

Minath's tactic for getting Tempest out was simple. Form small shielding spells in the rock, move the shielded contents, pieces of rock, and then where the rock was now missing form another shielding spell and push the boundaries outwards, preventing any kind of cave in to happen.

Eventually Minath had the entrance to the cave cleared. She summoned the power of the Sun, a gift granted to Celestia's heir, and turned the cave into a temporary supernova. Because of the shielding spell Minath still had up, the cave wasn't super heated to the point of collapse. She knew Tempest would be okay, even though his suit was now Night and Cold and Minath's was Day and Warmth.

She sat down, and fixed her crown. As Tempest came more and more around she was sensing other presences in his mind. Kind of like Xena but more, volatile. After a quick thought she went partially into her Celestial form, her mane picking up a breeze that no one could feel and her horn, body and wings getting slightly bigger.

(((Sorry if this post seems kinda rushed.)))

Tempest smiled as he floated through his dreamscape. "I guess it's time to make my return." He thought. The cyan alicorn then woke up and broke through the ice surrounding him. He then glanced at Minath in her celestial form. He then noticed that he was taller and had many if the other characteristics that would normally define a alicorn. "It's good to see you, Minath. I have so much to tell you." He said, laughing slightly. "By the way, how did you locate me?"

@,

Minath shrugged.

"With your new, uh, occupants," Minath said, then pointed to her head "it was pretty easy. Not to mention the fact that I was the Princess present when you were coronated, and I'm the Sun and you're the Moon, similar backrounds, blah blah blah."

Oh, and there's also this. Minath thought to Tempest. The royal pair had a mind link, very similar to the one shared by Minath and Rambler but the royal link was passed down with the essence of the previous royal.

@Minath Khalsi

Xecha had decided to follow the princess to where ever it was that she was going, to some surprise, she went to Tartarus. After she had reunited with Tempest, Xecha wanted to strike a little fear into their hearts. Xecha moved right behind Minath within touching distance and let his cold presence take care of the rest.

(Back to Caras.)

As fun as time jumping was, Caras knew he could not stay for to long, lest he alter the time line in some way. After saying his goodbyes to himself he opened the time portal and returned to the present day. "Well this is, odd. Tempest and Minath are in Tartarus, I wonder what they are doing their. No matter, their is somthing else in Tartarus, I wonder if it is what I think it is."

Caras let his curiosity get the better of him, took the risk and made his way back to Tartarus.

Tempest nodded. "Ah, yes. I should probably introduce you to them later. I've been busy for the past.. few thousand years I assume." He said, before noticing Xecha. Multiple swords formed around him. "Who are you and why are you here?" He asked, trotting by Minath.

(Yeah, expect Tempest to be a lot stronger now.)

Xecha's eyes set on Tempest, and using a quick scan, Xecha could feel all the aura beast's within Tempests mind.

"You I can talk to, you alone will be able to here me, your friend will not. Neither will the beasts that live in your mind. So for some reason you are here in Tartarus. Why is not important, but listen close, because I have somthing to say. You have seen me and I have talked to you, their is no escaping the inevitable now. I cannot tell you when, but I will haunt you, I will follow you, I will always be their, you will never be free now. The only way out is death, and I will kill you soon. Their is no escaping the creature of nightmares."

Xecha went back to silence and his endless stare continued.

Tempest smirked slightly. "I'm not exactly that easy to kill." He said, as the swords shot towards Xecha. "I have lived longer than you think, and I won't give up." Fire then burst from the ground and spiraled towards Xecha.

Xena and the other aura beasts watched Tempest. "Something isn't right here." Xena muttered under his breath.

Tempest heard the aura beast of time, and shrugged. "I believe it's time we depart." He thought, as he formed a dome of aura around himself and Minath. The two then exited Tartarus and appeared above Canterlot.

Non of Tempest attacks could touch Xecha as he was a half-ghost.

Although Tempest was now out of sight, his essence still lingered in Tartarus and that let Xecha talk for just a little longer.

"Foolish pony, you may be old and powerful, but your mind is an ark for life, that more life you have the more persistent I become, so be wary. For your dreams will be plagued with nightmares and horrors beyond imagination, and when you leats expect it, all the lives within you, will meet their swift end."

Xecha lost connection with Tempest after those words but he was not alone in Tartarus.

------(Caras)------

Caras arrived in Tartarus a little too late, Tempest and Minath had already left, but a spirit was still close. Caras investigated the strange, haunting presence. Upon arrival, Caras saw a large pony, with a midnight black coat, lacking any form of mane or tail, its eyes black as night.

"You their, creature, what are you?"

"You I can talk to, I am the creature of nightmares, my name is Xecha, demon."

"Well, from what I can tell from your apperance and memories, you are looking to kill Tempest correct? Well I too am also trying to kill Tempest and the creature inside of his head. I will make you a deal, if you help me kill Minath, I will help you kill Tempest, deal?"

"I belive I can work with this agreement. I shall work with you."

"Great, let's get going."

Caras and Xecha Teleported to the crystal empire to think out what their next moves.

Tempest and Minath appeared in the throne room. The cyan alicorn then heard what Xecha said, and grit his teeth in anger. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. "He has yet to truely realize the powers I now possess." He thought, as he trotted away and through the castle.

Dark noticed Minath and Tempest reappear, and walked up to Minath. "Where did Tempest go?" She asked.

Baz noticed that Tempest was slightly confused. "Tempest, is everything ok?" She asked.

The cyan alicorn turned his attention inward, and appeared within his mind. "I don't know." He said. "I just don't know what to do."

Nypher approached Tempest and hissed softly. "We're here if you wish to seek our guidance." He said. "Luna wouldn't have picked you to take her place if she didn't trust you."

Tempest nodded, and smiled. "You're right. I'm not alone. I have you and all of my other friends." He said. "Thank you." The cyan alicorn then regained consciousness and trotted into a balcony, "At least I'm not hunted by the press, yet." He thought as he gazed at the stars and moon that was now under his control.

@,

Minath looked at Dark.

"He and Xena traveled into the past. I found them enclosed in a block of ice. While I do know what happened, I think that's for you and Termpest to discuss. But first, I need to talk to the new Prince of Night."

Minath gave Dark and apologetic look and flew to her personal library, finding a book. While the concept of the book seemed ridiculous as well as the title, the contents were genuine.

Minath found Tempest on his balcony.

"I have a book you can borrow. It may seem foolish, but it's effective." Minath said, holding up the book with her magic aura.

Tempest nodded, and took the book. "Thanks. This should be an interesting read." He said. "That reminds me. I actually wrote a book for you." The cyan alicorn then opened a portal to a pocket dimension and pulled out a somewhat large, leather bound book. "This should answer most of your questions about the aura beasts and aura." Tempest

Dark sighed, and watched as Minath trotted away. "I might as well talk about this with Tempest later." She thought. The dragoness then walked through the castle.

(Fun fact: Tempest is married. Does this make him a king?)

@,

Minath took the book.

"Thanks... How long were you in the past you think? And, um, if you need any help for keeping Luna's memories from overwhelming your own, I can help with that. When I first became princess, Faust that sounds so weird, sometimes I would just snap into the past. After a while I realized that it was Celestia's memories... kinda makes it difficult. Luna... Luna helped me. She had the same problem with Equinox, you know. You could probably pull up the memory. But I've found out hat the farther you go back in the princesses' lives the harder the memories are to control. One time I found a memory of Celestia and Luna playing together as fillies and I was trapped in the memory for days. Sorry, I'm, uh Rambling, aren't I?"

((I would kinda think not... I dunno.))

Tempest nodded slightly, and sighed. "I know what you mean." He said. The cyan alicorn then looked at Minath. "Caras wasn't the one that killed Luna. I did. Her life force was depleted from Nightmare Moon and Caras's manipulation. I could've used my aura to heal her, but I was to stupid to think about it at the time. I don't know what Luna saw in me, but I don't deserve this. I don't deserve to lead Equestria and I certainly don't deserve any of you as my friends." Tempest then grit his teeth in anger and tears began trickle down his face.

The cyan alicorn looked up at Minath. "I know you must hate me right now. I shouldn't even be here. This works better for you than me. I'm sorry." Tempest was then surrounded by his aura, and flew into the air. He blended perfectly into the night sky as he flew.

@,

Minath was beginning to shake her head when Tempest took off. It was night, and night was now Tempest's territory. he would be able to bend shadows around him if he wanted. Instead she sent him a message through the royalty mind link

I know you're hurt and scared. And I can't exactly help you, considering I'm clueless myself. And this may hurt you, but I have a suggestion for you. Look through Luna's memories to her last moments. Look for any sign that she held any spite against you. If Luna can forgive you in her dying moments, and she could, why not forgive yourself as well?

Minath then went to her room, the small one that she still used, and shed her armor, crown and necklace. She curled up on the bed and fell into a fitful sleep.
