*Pant pant pant* Flying her way there charcoal was trying her best to make it to the beach where she was staying. "How could *pant* I have *pant* slept all the way through *pant* docking? *pant* Come on *pant* almost there. * pant*" Flying with the last of her strength she finally makes it to the beach where she flops down in the sand. So exausted she passes out, the last thing she sees being a stallion with strange ears and a mare with a coconut.

Dog Ears laughed a little. "Huh yea I guess so. Thanks I-" He cut himself off when he saw a pegasus crash into the sand and pass out. He rushed over quickly and tried to shake the pegasus awake. "Hey. HEY! Are you okay? Can you here me?" Dog Ears didn't know what to do. I'm not a pony doctor... What do I do?

Blazing heard somepony yelling, and woke up slowly. He walked over to see the two ponies before with a new mare who seemed to have passed out. "What happened?! Is she okay?!" He asked. He didn't know why, but he was panicking already. Seeing another pony passed out isn't the best thing to see when you first wake up though, so it was somewhat understandable.

Voices, that's all I hear, voices. A few moments later she wakes up and surounded by ponies no less, not exacly comforting. Hey,what's going on? Maybe I should ask... Hey why can't I talk, why can't I move?! Come on charcoal, if you can't do anything you can't get help. I try again to speak but it only reslutls in gasps and weezes. No good I can't seem to do it. Oh why?

Dog Ears wasn't the type of pony who did very well in these situations, but he tried to keep his cool for the sake of the mare. "Hey are you choking? Are you mute? I need to know everything if I'm going to help you." Dog Ears smiled reassuringly. Hopefully ponies were soothed by his voice like animals were.

What?! No, your life is not worth less than mine. Come on Charcoal, keep trying. In a small and raspy voice she is finally able to say. "S-stop." Yes, that's it. now tell them what you need. "W-water, n-need, water." Whew, finally. Now that stallion doesn't need to use that dangerous magic on me.

Minath had missed her boat with Rambler, so she had to take a airplane. She stepped out of the airport and headed to the hotel where they were supposed to be staying, and grabbed the room key.

Rambler had only just entered the room when Minath arrived. He walked over to her nuzzling her and smiling. "Hello, beautiful. It's good to see you made it here alright. What happened, anyway? I was really worried when you didn't make it to the boat in time."

"I know you don't want to hear this, but I got hung up at work. Well, I had the day off, but I wanted to check that everything was in order before I left. It wasn't so I had to fix it, making me miss the boat." Minath said sheepishly.

Rambler sighed. "Of course. It's always something about work. But it's okay. I've always respected the dedication you have for your work. And I'd rather you just took care of it beforehand instead of you spending the whole trip worrying about it. Of course, knowing you, you'll probably be worried about it anyway."

Yes thank you, now I just need to ask for help. Knowing she couldn't say much more Charcoal just barely shakes her head saying she can't drink on her own. Well guess that will have to do. I really hope they won't need me to say it I'm not sure if I could, even if I wanted to.

Blazing remained silent, unsure of what to do. He was still panicking, and he didn't want to show it anymore. I know I'm gonna feel really bad about this later... But for now I've just gotta stay out of this... The most I can do is end up making things worse for everypony... He thought. No! Now's not the time for depression! Although I still can't really help... He told himself.

He felt a little awkward doing this, especially with a mare, but he tried to stay professional. He didn't understand what was going on, but he knew that he needed to help her. "Can you swallow?"

"Oh crap." Esme took the water bottle, propped the pegasus against the tree they were near, and gently poured it down her throat. "You better now?" Her eyes were wide as she looked down at her. A slightly concerned smile crept across her lips. "I'm Esme, by the way."

Dog Ears took the water from Esme and gave it to the mare. He got it close to her mouth and tilted the bottle. He felt a little awkward doing this, especially with a mare, but he tried to stay professional. He didn't understand what was going on, but he knew that he needed to help her. "Can you swallow?"

 

 

Water, finally, Nodding her head she indicats that she can swallow on her own. Ok I've had water, now lets take this slowly. Having had her water Charcoal, going slowly she tries to explain what happened.

Dog Ears nodded and looked around. Seing the hotel they were supposed to be going to, Dog Ears nudged the mare onto his back and began trotting towards the hotel. He assumed Esme and Blazing would follow him. "Sorry if this seems... weird.... I'm... Dog Ears," he said between breaths. Dog Ears wasn't exactly very strong, but he figured this mare was light enough to carry for a little while.

"And as always I'm useless..." Blazing said to himself. "That's a surprise..." He added sarcastically. He made sure to say it quietly so that nopony would hear him. He decided it would be best to just stay out of the way, seeing as he couldn't really help anypony at the time. It seemed like everypony else was helping, and he didn't really need to do anything. He always felt worthless when things like that happened, but he didn't say anything about it yet.

Esme followed them, putting the water bottle back in her saddlebags. She trotted a bit faster to catch up with them, and soon she was right next to Dog Ears. Seeing the mare collapsed on his back depressed her a little. She hated seeing ponies in this kinda state, no matter how many times Eldrich took in patients in the apartment. "Are you sure you're ok?"

Dog Ears turned towards Esme. "Who me? I'm fine, a little strained." He stuck out his tongue and winked, showing he was joking and knew who she was asking. "Nice to meet you Charcoal. I would have preferred we had met on different circumstances but... what are ya gonna do?" Dog Ears noticed Blazing and how he seemed to be feeling left out. "Hey Blazing you wanna help me out? Can you do like a levitating spell or something?"

"Um... I can't necessarily do magic..." Blazing said. He hadn't wanted to bring up his disability at any point, but now he had no choice. "I've never been able to." He added. Technically he could do magic, but it would still have a very high chance of getting him killed, so he thought it would be best if he just said he couldn't at all.

Dog Ears nodded. He figured that Blazing thought it was a bad thing when it really wasn't. At lease Dog Ears didn't think so. He decided to act like it wasn't a big deal for the sake of making him feel better. "Oh okay. Then could you come next to me? I'll just spread her over both of our backs. I'm not exactly the strongest stallion in Equestria." He'd have to talk to Blazing about the whole magic thing later. It seemed like a tough thing to talk about for him, and Dog Ears could have been in the same boat had he decided to listen to all the people who teased him for having freakish ears. So Dog Ears knew how Blazing felt.

"Okay." Blazing said simply, then walked over to Dog Ears. He was at least helping now, and he didn't have to go into any more detail on his magic. Well at least I know I'm helpful in some way for now... He thought. As long as he was able to help in some way he was happy.
