Eddie looked around in silance after alec responded ".....alright"  Eddie was laying on the matress that was on the floor, he started whispering to himself "so sessions sessions and sessions? i wonder what else will they be doing to me" Eddie looked at alec "something else doctor Alan? i didnt brake the bed someone before me probably did"

Glory hugged Vinyl again. "It's always difficult," she replied. "But what makes it easier is thinking about the pony on the other side who's waiting for you, and cheering you on all the way."

"And who would that be? Your mother," Vinyl jokingly asked. She hugged Glory back and then kissed her deeply and gently. She used her magic to close the door completely. "Glory, I couldn't ask for anyone better to be on my side. You've always been there for me... From the first day I was dragged in here, to now. And I'm sure you'll be there for many more years after. You're the greatest thing to come into my life."

Bright Spark walked into the ward with his head between his shoulders and his tail drooping. He was indeed scared. He had never been here before, and to see so much was crazy. Especially for a foal. He went up to the counter. Nopony there. He jumped up to grab on, only to slip and fall over. He tried again, only to get the same result. Frowning, he decided to run into the counter to knock the form off. He broke a cuo or two and he was making one helluva noise but he had to sin in somehow.

Sunset nodded and followed the nurse to the room where two other ponies were. She stood in the doorway awkwardly, hiding behind her mane, not sure what to say or do.
 

Symphony nodded. "Makes sense, i suppose. Hopefully they'll start listening to me at some point. In the meantime, is there a cafeteria here? i haven't really eaten anything today and I'm hungry."

Golden Age looked up and broke his train of thought to find an orange mare with a brown mane staring shyly at the ground below her. He could make out what looked to be diamond blue eyes, to which he was for a short time entranced in. He then noticed the deep cuts that adorned her body. A wave of pity and sorrow came over him, though he did not show it. 

 

Flashbacks soon force their way into the pinnacle of his mind. The whipping, the flogging. He even received 30 lashes himself for stealing a biscuit. He tried to force the thoughts away, but the emotions of the pain and humiliation experienced on that day flooded his mind. 

 

He sat there for a few moments, regathering his composure and wiping the newly-shed tears from his eyes. He let out a soft yet gentle "Hello..."

 

He would've been more enthusiastic, but nopony had seen that part of himself for a long time.

Sunset briefly looked up and saw the stallion, who seemed to be wiping up tears. She immediately dropped her eyes again and hid even more behind her mane. She'd made him cry, somehow.

"H-hello," she mumbled. "I-iI'm sorry..."

She continued to stare at her hooves, angry at herself.

Having ponies hate you isn't enough, now you have to make somepony cry? she mentally scolded.

"It's not you it's...memories..." he said softly, his voice trailing off at the end to where it was barely audible.

 

 

He couldn't help but smile, she reminded him of somepony else that he used to have a fancy too. Apart from those cuts, he thought she looked quite pretty. 

 

"You can sit down if you'd like" he said with a smile.

((I don't intend to make this a romance either, as it seems Goldie already has somepony from outside, but it's up to our OCs xD. I usually don't know how my OCs are going to react to something until I start typing. Though, if he gets mad like he did earlier he might just terrify her.))

 

Sunset looked at him. Maybe he was here for a similar reason to her own. She'd barely heard what he had said but understood anyway. She knew all too well the pain of memories. If she thought about her past too much she could easily reduce herself to a tight little trembling ball within moments. 

"I-if you're sure... o-on both counts..." she mumbled as she gave a small, shy nod and timidly went to sit in the only vacant chair left, across from the nurse and next to the stallion.

Introduce yourself, you idiot.
"Y-y-you're probably wondering wh-who I am... M-my name... S-Sunset Sky... As far as I'm told..." She whispered the last sentence, inaudible to the others unless they were listening extremely closely.

Golden Age was unable to hear the last part of her sentence, but he was able to hear her name. "'Tis a beautiful name" he replied with a genuine smile "Mine's Golden Age, 1st Lieu-well, former 1st Lieutenant. Those bastards discharged me for...they said I was crazy." he looked down at the floor in embarrassment , though for some reason he did not lower his brim to hide his face "I don't know how one could come outta there an' not be crazy...t-that place takes your sanity away." 

 

With a few moments of silence, he spoke up once more. "P-Poppy tells me...that you and I suffer from the same condition. Shellshock, combat fatigue, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it goes by many names. I thought it could be beneficial to us both if we..." Golden Age trailed off, he wasn't really one to express his feelings to newly-met ponies, but with great strength he finally spoke out the words. "...befriended one another."

"Don't worry about that," Alec replied. "I'll tell one of the nurses to fix the bed for you after lunch."

Glory smiled. "And when you're better," she said, "We'll find someplace to live all by ourselves and be happy."

 

"Hope you don't mind living on the ground. I mean, the ground isn't as sunny as the clouds all the time, but I think it has it's perks. And I don't know about you, but I can't keep a cloud-walking spell up all day or when I'm asleep... I hope they didn't sell my house. It was a pretty nice place. Great view, lots of space... A pool."

Eddie rose up and sat on the matress and said "oh then maybe i can get a 5 bucking star cell with curtains and a king size bed and nurses bringing me whiskey everyday...heheh im not like that, i dont want much from life, just...eeeh food, water and thats it, i dont try and get a rich job and a rich house and then look at all the ponies from my balcony and say" Eddie started impersonating a formal intelligent rich pony's accent 'oi me good ol chap im rich and oll of these little ants down there are just laboring trash who do dirty work for me and im living in this' MOTHERBUCKING RICH CASTLE!!" Eddie got up already angry walking from one wall to another as he banged his forehead against the wall, not as hard as before, after that bang he shook his head and looked up at alec  "nurses? isnt this the maintenance fucks job? no, matter of fact i like the idea...making the mares do the work, you hate the mares right? me too i hate em all, kill them, make them chew theyre own teeth then..then kick em in the temple" Eddie gave a slight twisted smile as he again avoided eye contact "wakeitdave didit luck done, mush mush MUUUUUSH!!!"

 

ooc: hey are you sure you can keep up with so many nurses taking care of hand full of people's OC's on your own? seems kind of demanding.

"Oh, I have mare friends," Alec replied. "I'm just not interested in mares, romantically." He honestly didn't care what other ponies thought about his sexuality, so saw no problem in coming out with it.

Bright Spark ignored the nurse and continued to hit the desk. The paper really wasn't falling down and he could swear that the computer had hit the gound too. He was tired though, and soon after he gave up. He sat down in feont of the desk. "I wanna get the paper!"

it took Eddie a bit of time to figure out what alec meant but he soon realized he came out to him ".....so, you chase stallions...im nonsexual (Asexual) by the way, if you decide to ask about my sexuallity in one of those sessions" Eddie replied as he lied through his teeth, only because he swore never to fall love, he was never loved and he saw love as a creation of a deluded pony and that it only makes ponies even go as far as to kill themselfs over someone "SO! i cant say im glad that you told me a bit about yourself, but you know...good for you" Eddie said as he wanted to say something about alec's job, but Eddie decided not to since he didnt want to make alec more angry and perform a lobotomy on him

"good for you Alan, how wonderful your staff accepted you, and i would like to know, whats the point of the those sessions anyway? and matter of fact, after talking this much with you i bet its already afternoon" Eddie got close to alec and whispered "you got a smoke?"

"Why didn't you say so?" the nurse said, taking the paper and handing it to Bright Spark.

"The sessions are to explore why you act the way you do and to make you feel better," Alec said with a shrug. "Sometimes it works, most often, it doesn't, but it at least keeps Dume off my back. And I do, but don't go telling everypony. I'm supposed to have given up."

 

Alec handed Eddie a cigarette and took one himself. He lit both and inhaled from his own.

Eddie put the cig between his lips and exhaled the first smoke, he took a second drag, inhaled and kept the smoke inside himself for a second and exhaled "i havent had a smoke in hours...maybe days, and like i said before, i probably wont be talking to anyone here...well you know besides you doctors, so your secret is safe." Eddie took a few inhales and said "you know how i *blows smoke* how i knew that you might of had a smoke? its because i have never met someone with a drinking habbit that sits behind the table and dosent smoke...anyway i got an idea, how about...we do the session right now, right here? it will save your precious time and you wont have to run back and forth to my cell and to the session office or whatever, so what do you say? its a date?" Eddie leaned his back against the wall and looked at alec "you know all i did was cause a 'hate crime' on a couple of rich fools, i threw a molotov through the window of that rich party and made them run out outside away from the fire, then i started beating them half to death with a club or a bat...cant remember, 7 or 4 'serious' injuries on 4 or 7 rich scum, they said i cracked one guy's skull, and made a costly property damage...and you know, i dont give a damn one bit..." Eddie looked at alec "and i think im on the newspaper, the social worker told me, also the victim's relatives showed up and they cried till the cows came home, they said to me in court 'look at my cousin...look at him, he has no gums in his mouth anymore...why? why did you do it?' " Eddie impersonated/mocked a crying mare "you know what i told her?"

Bright Spark snatched the paper off the nurse and dragged it over to a pen tgat hit the floor some time ago. He tried his best to put his name on the paper but his mouthwriting wasn't very good, so insted he had just writted gibberish in big eords all over the paper. "There we go!" He handed it back to the nurse and made his way into the building.

Molly 

 

Molly walked down the pathway towards the entrance of the mental asylum without little emotion, besides the curiosity and concern for her boyfriend. Curiosity could've been an understatement, it was more like a burning desire. Golden Age's letters home had gotten more and more odd over time. His handwriting deteriorated into chicken scratch and anyone who could read it could tell the writer was under a profound amount of stress. Although the military censorship of mail was unheard of at the time, Golden Age did not put any details about the horrors he had endured, leaving her even more curious as to why he had been discharged so suddenly.

 

"Discharged due to being mentally unfit for service" the letter said. She couldn't wonder why her boyfriend, of all people, was mentally unfit for service. He had never shown even the slightest hint of stupidity when it came to brain, and aside from being rash and times, he was neither too stupid in brawn. Thus she was here, at the mental asylum, hoping to figure out the reasons behind Goldie's incarceration and hopefully see him as well. 

 

She walked up to the front desk and waited for a filly to be signed in before her.

The nurse sighed, heavily. Still, it was all part of the job. "Do you need to sign in?" she asked Bright Spark. "You need to come to the reception desk."

Glory checked her watch; she had a good ten minutes before she had to rush off back to work. She wished that more doctors would come and work in the asylum, but it seemed that too many were put off by the very name, and the nature of the work.

 

Joy was attending the reception desk. She mentally put it down on the to do list in her mind that the next thing she needed to attend to was to find a new receptionist. Somehow, many trained receptionists didn't like the idea of working in the insane asylum. Still, Joy was happy enough to do the job; it meant she could take a break from paperwork.

 

She spoke to the mare who had just entered. "Can I help you?"
