Eddie was looking side to side as if he saw something beside him, he turned to alec "i forgot why im here and where am i Alan....this place is cursed i tell you...what is this place?" He couldnt grasp the thought on why was he here, thoughts were slipping away in his mind "alan i wanna go home" Eddie said with a sort of crying like tone of voice as he was rubbing his eyes with his hooves

@@Eddie, Alec hesitated at putting a foreleg around Eddie; it was difficult, seeing as he had already told Eddie that he liked stallions and he didn't want him to get the wrong idea when all he wanted to do was comfort the patient. So he just patted him on the back.

 

"I know, and I really wish I could send you home," Alec replied. "But my hooves are tied. All I can do is send you to a better place than this, the Insane Asylum, where you'll actually get treated well."

Eddie could easily hold back his tears but he was still talking in a sobbing voice "can we...*sniff*...aaah...can we go outside...?" Eddie said as he kept rubbing his eye with his one hoof while he bit into his other hoof and start started breathing heavily

@@Eddie, Alec looked at Eddie. "The only way I can take you outside," he said, eventually, "Is if you allow me to put a binding spell on you. This will bind you to myself with an invisible thread so you won't be able to move from my side. It is the only way, otherwise I would risk having you escape."

Eddie didnt think about escaping, but as soon as he heard it he smiled, turned to alec and said "escape....heh-heh-hehh-hehehe....aaaaaah, verywell binding-minding well...i mean sss-bell-spell is alright with me, but i really would like to live long enough to see the ponies of the world burn in fiery flames...ALIVE!!! ......infront of me, and then this cycle of...of insanity you call ponity might end, because i dont accept that the world will live forever" Eddie moved his hoof he bit onto the side of his neck as the other one he held the side of his chest

@@Eddie, "I wouldn't try to escape if I were you," Alec replied. "You wouldn't stay free for very long and when you came back here, well, I already told you what would happen. And the binding spell would stop you from moving even an inch from my side. But you'll be able to go outside."

Eddie sticked his tongue out for a second as he looked up at alec and responded "alright imma do it imma do it imma do it....where will this...this-this spell be attached to? my hoof? i won-DA! if ibrake off my hoof will i be free from the spell? and i DEMAND! on why was i sent to this place?"

@@Eddie, "You would have to break your entire body to be free of the spell," Alec replied. "I'm not about to explain the mechanics of the binding spell right now. And you were sent here cuz you posed a danger to other ponies. I doubt you'll be released til you can be certain of not harming other ponies."

@@Eddie, "Yes, that's right, outside," Alec replied. "As for everypony being happy; well, some are at least content, but I doubt that everypony is happy. Some ponies are better at deceiving others into thinking that they are happy. I wouldn't know. I don't go in for that kind of pretence."

Eddie took a big step back with his jaw dropped and his eyes wide open as he looked around quickly "why not just destroy everypony then? its so simple and would be so fulfiling...FOR ME! it-it-it-it-its so simple Alan, i mean i would probably live more comfortable if i would be the only one on this planet...Alan. me good. ponies bad. please. go destroy bad ponies." Eddie unfolded his wings and flew up to the ceiling and stayed up there flapping his wings as he said "alright then lets go outside then, Mr doctor whos not happy?"

@@Eddie, "Destroying ponies is not the answer," Alec replied. His horn glowed blue as he set the spell on Eddie, meaning that while Eddie could go a few steps away from Alec in either direction, if he tried to go any further, he would feel as tho he was being stopped by an invisible wall. This done, Alec led Eddie outside. There was a small garden, tended by the nurses, and usually inmates were not allowed there. But Alec had been able to persuade Dume that if a spell like the one he'd used on Eddie was in place then it would be a good reward for the well behaved ponies and better than constant punishment.

"If that's the case, then I'll just have to cast the spell again to be here and to protect you in your dreams til it leaves you alone," Glory said, hugging Vinyl.

"I'm really glad to have you on my side. If you want, I could probably find a spell to make you appear how you are now, in the real world." Vinyl winked at her and looked into her eyes. "Seems like this is the first time we've been alone in a while..." Hope she doesn't mind if I indulge myself in making this a wet dream.

If I had that at my disposal, I'd be able to banish your bad dreams and enemies forever, and we could finally be together, properly."

While Eddie and alec were walking to the garden outside, Eddie was looking down staring at the floor mindlessly as alec stopped, Eddie kept walking until he was stopped by the invisible barrier/wall that bounced him back "huh?" Eddie looked around and saw a nicely tended garden, he turned to alec and said "Alan....i do believe i can look past the illusion you just threw me, i dont really know what im suppose to look at and realize here, it dosent give me any courage to live or inspiration to create something...*siiiiigh* i dont know Alan maybe i grew up too fast and too early to actually look at the world through 'normal' pony eyes....you might look at me as a pathetic...wreched and twistsed foal who should be put down to spare time, but the truth is that im sometimes scared of the world and the ponies in it"

"Alicorn magic may be more powerful and just a little bit different from unicorn magic, but it's the manipulation of basic spells that can have the most impact. I've been practicing it for a while, but there are some spells that I can't cast on myself, namely ones that have to do with dreams." Vinyl leaned forward into Glory and purposefully stumbled, sending them tumbling a bit. She landed on top of Glory with her legs to the sides of her...

"grow?....grow!...why? so i can die in the future? you know what? i wanna know what you think of me.... i mean you were with me for the last 20 minutes so i think you have something in mind about me" Eddie looked at alec and asked him, he turned away from alec and saw a flower on the ground growing, Eddie grabbed the flower and started to tearing it, as he tore it to pieces he then ripped the torn flower's roots and started tearing it "...FRICKING HATE THIS FLOWER!!"

Glory smiled and kissed Vinyl. "We never get a chance to do this in real life," she said. "So how about we take this moment to explore in the dream?"

"Oh Luna, I've been waiting to hear you say something like that for so long." Vinyl leaned down to kiss her again and... *fade to black*

 

"Before you go, you should know that I'm probably passed out in the hallway outside my room. I sometimes walk around in my sleep." She hugged Glory for a moment, then let her go, for Glory to do what needs to be done and for herself to keep dreaming.

@@Eddie, "Everypony dies, get used to it," Alec said, calmly. "What I think of you isn't important; you ought not to care that much about what others think of you. However, you do need to adapt to society. Can't be helped." He did find himself attracted to Eddie in some way, but kept that deep inside him. He didn't want to ruin the slight bond they did have, when he was certain that Eddie didn't feel the same way.

 

@, Glory did what was needful in order to continue the dream. She felt that Vinyl needed to sleep for longer in any case as it would be good for her to get a restful night's sleep. She would explain it that way to Joy later; Joy would approve of the extended sleep time, as she knew of Vinyl's lack of proper sleep.

"thats my point Alan, i want the world to be destroyed so this insanity you call 'the cycle of life' wouldnt spin around pointlessly...alright so a few generations later the technology will advance, medicine will advance...then what? whats the meaning of it all? i dont tend to find out" Eddie turned away from alec a looked into the distance "society is a joke, society hates me and hated me...i remember once....once i seeked compassion...when i was maybe 15 or 16, maybe i still do but i hate everypony too much to accept it and it also seems..." Eddie turned half-way to alec "...pointless"
