searching City of Outcasts

This RP is going to take place in an alternate version of Equestria in which non-pony races face persecution throughout the land. It is in an attempt to escape this prosecution that they founded the city of Free Haven, the so-called "City of Outcasts". Although its location is remote, and it's not something that's often spoken of, over time, many non-ponies of all kinds, as well as ponies that were for whatever reason cast out of normal Equestrian society, began to flock there. 

 

However, Equestria saw this place as a rogue city, and refused to acknowledge it's legitimacy, stripping it's inhabitants of citizenship and taxing them heavily for the land the city was built on. In time, Free Haven became just another example of the oppression the non-ponies had felt for so long. Despite this, outcasts and non-ponies continue to come there, hoping in vain that it's somehow better than the prejudice they face elsewhere.

 

Eventually the citizens grew restless. The city was no longer able to contain all the newcomers, and poverty became widespread. For things to stay as they were was no longer an option. Those exiled from Equestrian society needed a land to call their own.

 

Rules:

1. You're allowed to have any number of OCs, but try to keep the main focus on only one or two.
2. No godmodding. None. Seriously.
3. Any canon race is allowed, but ponies have to have a good reason for being there. I'll allow noncanon races for this as long as they're somewhat within reason and seem to fit.
4. I reserve the right to reject a character with or without providing a reason for doing so.
5. As DM, I have final authority on everything.
6. Romance is fine, but don't let it completely take over the story.
7. Keep it PG-13.
8. Please do your best to use proper spelling and grammar.

I might add more rules later. For now, I think that just about covers everything.

I'll be using more than one OC anyway. Probably all my non-ponies will at least make an appearance. I'm too inexplicably tired at the moment to make a character list.

I suppose I'll join, even though knowing me I'll probably get too busy to post after a while. However, it's a fun enough concept, and though I won't be deciding who to use yet it'll likely be either of my pairs (Discreet and Reka or Rubble and Teek). I know I'm using at least two, that is all. (Because I never use one OC, ever. XD)

I'll try not to use nine this time.

... My siren pony could work... when I make her. Somepony could've seen her transform(headcanon thing by me that they transfrom into merponies when they're in the water, and when at full power, they can transform into a harmony(harpie pony) for a short time. 

I'll make her soon, I just need to work out the details and figure out the appearance.

Sounds interesting. I haven't any nonpony characters but maybe my character Diego could work. Seeing as his talent is chaos magic, he's shunned by pony society cuz chaos magic reminds many of Discord, tho there's no connection.

As long as you don't make his magic too overpowered or use it to godmod too much, Diego is fine. And I've RPed with you enough to trust that it won't be an issue, so you're accepted.

Okay, I am most CERTAINLY using Teek because holy crap the art that SFX did for her is just so cute it makes me want to die. 

I was thinking of Cas and Seirian, but we already have a manticore and Cas may be a bit too OP considering his size.

 

As for a secondary, I think I may use a OC I am working on named Catchkey.

Also, I apologize for not having started this by now. I've been unusually busy lately. I'll most likely start it later tonight.

Oh! I never mentioned that the characters I'm using are Scurry, Raptor, and Asteron. That's probably something worth mentioning, I guess. I'll make a proper character list when I'm not feeling so blasted lazy.

Just so you two know, I'm skipping ahead to the next morning with Raptor and Syl, because they won't be interacting with anyone else for a while anyway. I suggest you wrap up anything else you want to do for the first night quickly though, because it's day two when things start really happening.

 

Of course, that's all assuming you're both still interested in this RP. I haven't heard from you in a couple days, so I'm not sure.

That's largely my fault. Raptor and Syl have been isolated from everyone else, so it's pretty much impossible to interact with them. But once things get going it should no longer be a problem.

Frankly, I'm not sure why I'm posting here, aside from perhaps to bump the thread and maybe get a few more people, but I felt like I should say something here. So, um... yeah, for the one or two people who still care, this isn't dead, and I'll try to get the story moving along a bit. Yes, that means there is actually a story, it's just taking a while to develop.

Yes, but know that you may well be discriminated against by the non-pony residents of the city. They've been abused by ponies their whole lives, and old grudges are hard to overcome.

Wait hold on. My character is going to discriminated for abuse to the people?   My character stole from corrupt cops and gang members. Not the people of Equestria. 

 

My character has done nothing to the people to deserve this is all Im saying.

Also are there guns cars and higher tech allowed? I know that this like "armageddon city" but i just want to know.
