Throwaway19573639385 764 August 11, 2013 Share August 11, 2013 First off, I'd love to explain this phenomenon fact Given the fact that we exist out of nothing more but information we can turn information into a massless, energyless entity in a zero-dimensional space. For those having a hard time imagining it, imagine it as a tv screen with nothing but static, except the screen is infinitely big and everywhere you look there's nothing but static. This information, which we now have reduced to a quantum level, exists in the present, the past and the future. It has always existed, even before anything ever existed or even when everything ends and a new universe sprouts of our imploded one. Since you're nothing but information on a quantum scale, you have always existed and you have always been destined to exist at this very moment, your death is inevitable and it is also your "destiny" to die in a certain manner. Be it by old age, murder, illness or an accident. Now you might think "Isn't that a bit odd? I mean, since information is infinite doesn't that mean that we should all die differently instead of the same way, so many people die of old age, isn't that the same?", in which case yes you are right! Except, we already die differently! We all die on a different moment and a different place. Meaning we all die in a different time-space, which in itself, is different already. As we've determined that even after we die our information is still kept within zero dimensions, we live on forever in a way. Death and the afterlife are inevitable. Does that even change anything? I mean, the idea of living forever is my most-want thing to achieve. I will do anything for immortality, but all this quantum thingy, does that even change anything? I mean, our body will still be decomposed. Those carbons. Our brain will slowly disappear. Thoughts are generated by brain right? It's a kind of *bip* *bup* pulse generated by life energy. Like 0 1 in computer, I think. If the motherboard is gone, the binary is gone right? The process stops. The memory is left there, inactive. No process. Dead. That's what I know about death. We will still be dying, and decomposed, no matter how much knowledge or data we have in our hard disk. The hard disk will be broken. The data will be corrupted. The processor will stop. Dead. Your philosophy about existence will be dead. I will be very grateful if someone can give me an explanation, because... well... I'm afraid of nothing but death. Our "data" or information won't deteriorate. It's always been there and will always be there. If we die it'll be exactly as I think death will be. Completely dark and full of nothing. No emotions, no senses. Not even thoughts. We'd be in complete darkness and we wouldn't be even aware of it. Like an endless coma. Except it isn't darkness, it's nothingness. To make it easier to imagine. Think of it as our hard disk gets plugged out and the data we contain is being put into a "main computer" and then saved, except the data was already there to begin with and is getting overwritten by ours, which is the exact same data as before we even existed. The question is, are those souls just thoughts? I believe they exist, and are in a form of vibrations which represent their thoughts while they were alive. Those 'shamans' in my traditional culture interact with them by feeling the vibrations and feel the thoughts. It's like a strong vibration is 'hot', but more complicated. Everything vibrates. Particles vibrate. Martial artists from my sect have a technique to detect particle vibrations with our sharpened senses. The main practice is the blindfold technique. Vibration indicates that there's an object nearby, and we can avoid bumping into the object by feeling its vibration, but there's a more complicated thing behind it. We also can differ colour, and even some of us can read text with blindfold blocking our sight. It's strange. Our master held a box in front of our hand while we were wearing a blindfold and asked what is the box's colour. Of course, we tried to guess the colour, and most of us were right. He then brought different boxes and kept asking. Again, right guesses. I don't think it's a coincidence. This took my interest, and I decided to study this technique further. I realized that different colour makes different kind of vibration. Later I found out that our sect has a relation with those so-called traditional shamans. Then thoughts. Brain vibrates. Scientists have confirmed that. People can feel other's emotions. Are those vibrations? Then what are 'ghosts'? Normal people also can feel their existence if they're aware enough, and those so-called shamans somehow can read the thoughts represented by their vibration. Different shaman can read the same thought of a spirit, so I guess the spirit isn't just their own imagination, but who can guarantee that this 'spirit' is really a thought? Not just a vibration which invokes a thought? Like strong vibration invokes the 'hot' feeling? I am very much aware of this phenomenon as I too have felt this during my 6 years of training Silek Tuo. Although I don't feel it as a vibration but more of a feeling. Red gives me a warm feeling yet it isn't a warm feeling while blue gives me a feeling of coldness while it isn't really cold. It's super complicated to even explain the feeling you have. Even when you're blindfolded or looking the other way you can still feel intentions moving behind your back. Whether a person wants to tap you on the back or wants to put you into a sleeper hold. They feel the same yet are completely different and we are able to determine its difference by what we learn from our master. To put this in a more scientific perspective, people "feel" emotions and intentions through pheromones, we can't consciously smell them but we still take notice of them unconsciously. Within martial arts we are being trained and sharpened to take notice of them but what we actually do is take notice of how our body reacts to them. Like a shiver going down your spine might indicate someone else being in the room or someone planning to do something criminal. Often being trained as far as to even make differences in whether that shiver really is someone thinking of criminal activities or someone about to hit you even though it looks like he or she won't. This is for human activity only though. How one is able to determine what color an object is or what kind of object is inside a sealed box is something I am not able to explain. But I am completely aware of what you mean as I am (or was) able to do it too. We're not all too sure on how thought reading works, but my take or guess is that the different waves our brain uses are able to be picked up by others. Perhaps one might be able to train this enough to accurately describe a thought. Whether souls are thoughts, vibrations, feelings or something entirely different we don't know. The only thing I know is that I've experienced them too. However, personal experience aren't facts, they're just experiences. So we'll have to wait until someone finds a method to prove it or to disprove it.

That's still very scary, you know? I've been constantly thinking about death lately, and I must admit that it scares me a lot, even though I usually don't get scared of anything at all. My idea is that we have a kind of 'final state' when we die. from our master. You're talking as if we're in the same sect of martial arts. If you are, then I bet we live in the same province since this is the martial art of the royal palace of my traditional culture. XD Does the name of your martial art has something to do with 'pigeon'? The name is White Pigeon in English. Oh, wait. It's Silek Tuo? Definitely a different sect. That's actually simple. It's all about vibrations and signals. Each particle vibrates in different strength, frequency, length, etc. There are many factors. Light, which affects colour, also 'vibrates'. It has been a very long time since I read that physic book about gamma, beta, and alpha thingy. One thinks, one's brain vibrates, the vibration is delivered through the air, it reaches us, we feel it. A box has particles, particles vibrate, with some medium it reaches us, we feel it. Rule of thumb, you can feel everything which vibrates with the same frequency as your brain. The practice is to control our brain vibration. Whether souls are thoughts, vibrations, feelings or something entirely different we don't know. The only thing I know is that I've experienced them too. However, personal experience aren't facts, they're just experiences. So we'll have to wait until someone finds a method to prove it or to disprove it. Actually scientists have researched my martial art sect. Try to search for it in Google. If we live in the same country, then you can translate that 'White Pigeon' in our language and search it. I'm just too shy to say the original name. XD One important discovery about it, is that this vibration-sensing technique can't be interfered. They tried to put a kind of metal which is supposed to block any kind of vibration, but the practitioner still could feel it. For now, they haven't researched about souls, which is the most important of all, but I do wish that those 'spirits' our shamans are interacting with are actually souls. That will mean that there's really an afterlife. I only remember interacting with them once (or twice), so I can't make a conclusion from it. If you are, then I bet we live in the same province since this is the martial art of the royal palace of my traditional culture. XD I'm sorry, slight typo there. It actually should've said "masters". As we live in a completely different country. My martial art is one of the oldest styles of Pencak Silat, hailing from Indonesia. That's actually simple. It's all about vibrations and signals. Each particle vibrates in different strength, frequency, length, etc. There are many factors. Light, which affects colour, also 'vibrates'. It has been a very long time since I read that physic book about gamma, beta, and alpha thingy. Rule of thumb, you can feel everything which vibrates with the same frequency as your brain. The practice is to control our brain vibration. Which is exactly where your and my martial art differs. We don't see it as vibrations, we interpret them as something going above feeling. Also, it's colour that affects the light, not the other way around. Though colour and light are actually exactly the same thing just with a different frequency. Vibrating particles are by the way impossible for humans to pick up on, it's simply not in our genetics to feel vibrations on such a small scale, even if our brain only fully focused on touch. But I guess that's where our ideologies differ. Actually scientists have researched my martial art sect. Try to search for it in Google. If we live in the same country, then you can translate that 'White Pigeon' in our language and search it. I'm just too shy to say the original name. Nope, nothing found on the internet, unless I knew the real name I don't think I'd find anything under white pigeon. And this confirms it, the practitioner doesn't feel the vibration, it's something completely different and I still can't put my finger on it. It's like when you look at your hand and see the aura around it, but then as a feeling. At least, that's how it feels for me. I don't have any opinion on souls though. My martial art is one of the oldest styles of Pencak Silat, hailing from Indonesia. I thought you lived in Indonesia since you learned Silek Tuo. :v Try to translate it then. It sounds weird for Westerner, and I'm shy to type it here. Also, it's colour that affects the light, not the other way around Yeah, sorry. I think I put the wrong order in that sentence, but you get what I mean. Objects with different colours radiate different vibration. Vibrating particles are by the way impossible for humans to pick up on, it's simply not in our genetics to feel vibrations on such a small scale, even if our brain only fully focused on touch. But I guess that's where our ideologies differ. I don't think it's on a small scale. I feel solid objects as a big bunch of vibrating particles. Many of them, and are in a very tight formation. Even if I close my eyes and walk around, I still can feel objects pushing me around like a magnet. You know, like when you put the same side together. Call me sensitive or whatever, but I always feel these walls pressing the back of my head. And this confirms it, the practitioner doesn't feel the vibration, it's something completely different and I still can't put my finger on it. It's like when you look at your hand and see the aura around it, but then as a feeling. At least, that's how it feels for me. Sorry. I asked my master again last night, and he said that those scientists used the metal only on the blindfold, not the whole body. In that case, the metal wouldn't made any change. We feel with our whole body. Aura, energy and Qi are also vibrations. Everything can be explained with physic. I don't have any opinion on souls though. Well, that's sad. That's the only thing which makes our discussion on-topic. I guess we must stop or discuss it somewhere else. Edited August 12, 2013 by Sky Warden Pinkeh asked me to put this here. ~Silver Essence~ 2,625 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 I will live forever? Well, I'd instantly try to end myself for evidence, and if I survive, then I will literally just state this as my quote of life: "I'm living a never ending hell hole..."
