@Swirly - It's what creates graphics for the computer.  All of the visuals.

 

@Retro - That doesn't sound like a way to prevent it though, but rather a backup plan for when it does happen.

That is the only Splinter Cell game I've played.  It's lie Metal Gear in a way.

 

And a blue screen is a CPU crash isn't it?

 Oh, my bad. Well, if you go to the start menu and click the search (or just search on Windows 8) and type "event logs" it'll give you the exact problem that caused the BSoD, that can fix it. Though only way to truly "prevent it" is to keep update on the latest drivers and software packages. Otherwise it can happen. I haven't had it on my PC yet, though I built it myself and have multiple software that tells me if there is any chance of an error occurring before it happens. (Like a failing hard drive) Though sometimes it can be unpreventable.

My original computer never got blue screens. I used that for 8 years.

 

 The laptop I borrowed from my grandma worked for a year before getting one.

 

I've gotten two on this one in the last 7 months.
