That's right, he was British, I'm getting mixed up.

And AAA Publishers normally like to save money and play it safe, making games that can be played by young players as well, which increases their profits.

Indie developers normally go after good game design, while the big companies go after big returns, since they put in big investments.

Yep, when it comes to a lot of things, one phrase applies.

Because money.

That is fine, but they need to stop with the pseduo realism. Either make it so like the real world, I can put a guy down with 3 rounds to the chest on semi-auto, or make it an arena shooter. I hate this half baked realism that is so prevalent in todays games.

Well they're not going to stop so long as it keeps making them money.

And if you want super realism, play Arma.

It isn't making as much money as they used to. Cod lost money on ghosts, bf4 bled money from dice, and GR phantoms had to be released as a play for free.

And no, if I wish to complain, I shall.

And i'd rather have super realism, or non at all ala Quake and Halo.

Half assed realism is a cancer upon gameing.

Well they're producing games at a faster rate, so they must be getting some form of profit.

And I don't think it's so easy for you to go and be a soldier Cross.

Actually, with the massive budgets they give the games, they are barley breaking even gamey.

I cannot wait until re return to the good ol days of carrying 30 guns and running faster than a car.

It does look like the charm of realistic/arcade military shooters is starting to wear off, though I think there is a bigger shift towards casual gaming, with smartphone games becoming a big market.

And yeah, those are easy to do yourself, but try replicating Arma in real life.

the ticket is normally 108 euros. And the event lasts 3-4 days, and runs all night. Normally they have around 2,000-4,000 players in attendance.
