I've spent close to $2,000 this past year alone on computer-related shit that I shouldn't have had to deal with. I was in a pinch, gave up on my last computer, and bought a new one last night.

In the past year, I've spent about $1200 on PC stuff, and that was to get my PC up to spec because my initial build was a bit underspecced for me. Only 8GB RAM, no aftermarket CPU cooler and this 7-year-old 320GB drive I have lying around wasn't enough for mass storage.

Add to that the $1,000 I spent to have the blown out speakers in my car replaced, and the fact that I am a student on a very tight budget. If one more thing goes wrong for me in the near future, I am royally screwed.

 

I am not a computer freak, and I have no desire to. However, I shouldn't have to spend that $2,000 in one year for 2 computers and a number of repairs.
