He was drunk. Like...he shouldn't have been allowed within 100 yards of a car. I know where my limit is. And once I hit it, I stop drinking entirely. My limit is somewhere around 3-5 drinks. So we're all laying out on the concrete by the pool and the sun is IN-TENSE. so I get up and move a chair over to shade all of us. Everyone was like, "OH MY GOD YOU ARE THE BEST!" I walk around them and my brother proceeds to knock me off my balance, allowing gravity to control where I go. Which was in the water. 

 

And I was carrying my phone. 

 

And it's not waterproof. 

 

Guess what? It shorted. That thing is about as fried as most American foods. 

 

And I'm pissed at him. He doesn't realize how pissed I am. As far as he knows, I don't care too much. But I do. It's not about the phone. I can easily replace a phone. It's the principal of the matter. He doesn't consider the way I feel about things. He doesn't consider that if I were to do some of the things to him that he does to me, he would punch me in the mouth. He doesn't consider that I hate being wet. That I didn't want to bring wet clothes all the way back up here with me. But I am far less aggressive than he is. I'm usually very forgiving, but he's the exception because he's the only person who makes me feel as though my thoughts and feelings about things are given no regard. Nobody I know but him would have even thought to push me in that pool. And he didn't do it to anyone else there but me. It's like he's got to be better than me, and I resent him for it. 

 

So anyway, I was going to go get a new one on insurance but the deductible is $100. My dad still had his old iPhone 5 so he just asked me if I wanted to save the hundred bucks and use that til my contract goes up next month. 

 

But yeah. The phone is easily replaced, and no my feelings will not stay hurt over it. He just doesn't understand how sick and tired I am of his childish bullshit. He doesn't respect me and I'm getting tired of it. I'm coming to a point where I'm going to address this or he pretty much won't have a relationship with his brother.

I think he got the idea when I got out of the pool and didn't even want to make eye contact with him as a way of communicating my frustration with him. He was apologizing to me for breaking my phone. I really wasn't mad about him breaking my phone. He was legitimately sorry for it anyway. But he wasn't apologizing for the right thing. And forgive me if I'm sounding like a woman here, but he knows I hate it when he pushes me in the pool. He knows I hate being wet and he does it anyway. I was mad about being shoved in the pool. He knows I don't like being messed with. I'm the guy who will retreat to his room for four hours at a time to read a book. I don't mess with other people and I don't like to be messed with. At least, in a physical way. I like to tell jokes and shoot the breeze. Not wrestle. 

 

But yeah. I'm mad at him because he was apologizing for entirely the wrong thing. He should have been apologizing for being so disrespectful to me. I mean, it was senseless. There was no reason for him to do it except to push my buttons. He's twenty-frickin-one. Not six. There's no reason to still be doing this.

He doesn't understand why I get pissed at him for things that I wouldn't be so mad about with anyone else. He's my brother. He should know me better than most anyone else.
