Well if he doesn't start respecting me, I'm probably going to start distancing myself from him before I try to make it better. He shouldn't be acting like this. Not at 21. I mess around with him, but not push-you-in-the-pool-and-break-your-shit messing around. It's like he either doesn't know where the line is and just keeps crossing it or he knows exactly where the line is and intentionally crosses it for the reaction. Regardless of intent, he should know that when I emerge from the water unhappy with him, he shouldn't do it. That it makes me want to talk to him less and less every time he does something disrespectful to me. 

 

I think he's got some kind of control complex. Maybe he, in some way, sees me as competition. I think he sees that I have a degree, a pretty well paying job (for a single person), a new car, a nice apartment, etc. and he has to be better than me by being more powerful or something like that. And I just don't care. I don't see myself as any better than him. If anything, I see myself as low as dirt as I always have. 

 

There's just no reason for him to be acting like this. He's a smart kid. He's pretty funny. He's a lot of fun. But it would be very appreciated if he would just be a bit more respectful. 

Anyway, I'm done talking about it Not that I'm just so upset and I'm crying in a corner. I just don't want it to wreck the rest of my night.
