Life sucks for everyone. Some might have it worse, but it still sucks. I'm not special, life doesn't target me.

 

But some people can pretend it's worth it. I can't.

Honestly? I spend most of my time either job searching or just passing time on the Internet or the playstation.

 

But when I do get to go out or see friends, I make sure to always make the most of it. Usually that picks me up enough to get by until the next time.

So do I. At one point my shyness/social anxiety was so bad I had counselling and went to shyness groups.

 

It took a long time but I was eventually able to improve my social skills somewhat (although they're still pretty bad compared to the average person)

Well, i was told i should go to Therapy and i should get myself tested, to see if i have Autism.

And well, so far every Doctor just told me im fine...so im even unable to go to Shyness Groups. ( or Autism Groups )

I went to shyness groups on Meetup. Being around other shy people let me come out of my shell a bit because everyone there understood how I felt.

 

I was put in counselling because I was diagnosed with depression. Loneliness was the main cause of it, so it was the main thing we talked about during my sessions.

Really, the counselling didn't help me that much.

 

In the end, the only thing that has ever helped my confidence is perseverance. I was going to meetups several times a month for almost a year before I could have an actual conversation with anyone.

 

Even now the only friends I have are people I met directly through the Brony fandom. I'm useless at small talk so I can only really interact with people I share interests with.

Also, society puts so much importance on it. People seem to view romance as more important than friendship.

 

To be honest, I don't seem to have any kind of real romantic feelings. No drive for it at all. Friendship is the big deal to me, but everyone wants to put it's importance lower it seems...

If you have to change who you are for someone, they're not the right person for you anyway. I've never had a relationship but I wouldn't enter one unless me and my partner loved eachother for who we are.

 

I've lived in London all my life so I was always used to crowds. As long as I wasn't expected to actually talk to any of them I could tolerate it. When you live in a big city like this, you just come to see the crowds as living scenery.

 

I've never been to a convention but my friends have talked me into going to BUCK next year. Hopefully it will be fun

Hmmm, i guess if you have the chance to either spend time with your partner or spend time with friends, many would choose spending time with their partners.

 

Since you can do more with them, i guess.
