Well, to get into programming Python is in my opinion the best choice, because it's really rather simple and straightforward, but still a language that's extremely useful. Java and C# are both also rather easy to pick up, but more similar to other languages than python, so they might be better if you want to transition from python to something like C++.

And the language I use primarily? C++. But sometimes also Python, C, C#
I guess with my upcoming IT Sec. studies, I'll be working a lot more with SQL and Javascript too
