Well I'm not saying I don't like it. I do find that technology gives us big advantages and all and it's fascinating. I've done some programming, it's fun and it's something I'm good at, so the obvious choice is to take that as a career path. And working in IT Security gives the chance to look after the technology instead of just living with it.

But I am concerned how it impacts our lives. It hurts me to see when people sit on the same table, but all stare into their phones and talk about what the others have posted on facebook or actually texting each other... and the internet with giving constant access to any information you want... why learn and remember something when you can google it? How our modern technology breeds impatience through instant gratification. And how we seem to lose our ability to focus. Or how we create content bubbles, where we only see the information we want to see, while blocking anything that doesn't fit our world view.
And this is not just something I came up with...
