...i guess this comes from spoken english vs written english

some accents/people will use "me" instead of "my"

1m26 "it's me Bren Gun"

if spoken quickly the word "my" may be contracted to a "muh" sound

Michelle has the "me" pronunciation, and if you say it quickly it becomes "m'chelle"

as in [I'm a tortoise and] this is m'shell

(I heard it on the radio just now and brayed like a wounded donkey)
