You'd say "Stunden", not "Uhr"
in 1 hour -> "in einer Stunde" ; at 1 o'clock -> "um 1 Uhr"

and the "und" is optional, we usually just say "eineinhalb Stunden". (yes, "one one half" is a single word in German ; alternatively you can say "anderthalb" which means the exact same)

Okay. For all its flaws, America is a pretty good country to live in (for the most part). But one thing I HATE about our culture is our absolute reliance on the automobile. You HAVE to have a car here because public transit almost doesn't exist outside of short route bus lines. If we had a bus in the suburb where I live that went to a train station that took people to the city center and another bus line or a metro that took you to the various places in town, I'd sell my car and take the frickin train.
