And if you're not gainfully employed, then it sucks because you HAVE to find new work. I'm not going to put in any less effort if I leave my job. In fact, I'm going to work harder to make the transition for them as smooth as possible. But man. The whole process of scoring a job just kind of stinks. It's huge to me. A life changing event. But if I don't get offers, then my boss knows I tried to leave, and that could make the environment kind of awkward.
