IDK, it's just a ship that could actually never work. You know, there is a difference between fully contrasted personalities, and COMPLEMENTARY personalities. And 80% of the ships are like that.

Though keep in mind that those two don't actually have characters.  They are just background ponies (so far) and the fans are the ones who fill in the characteristics based on their looks.  A lot of the different versions share similar traits, but there is no one character, just various versions of the same pony.

 

You could make your own versions of them and ship them, characters that would actually work together.  It's all headcannon.

Yeah, but you have to admit most of the ships are like that what I said. Eg. Rarijack. I just don't see any positive outcome from that.

Also, I don't it how they did it. Like, "those are the only music ponies in the show, yeah, we should DEFINITELY ship them".

Yeah, they just became the most popular.  And it's the whole opposites attract thing.  It may not be all that plausible, but it makes for great romance stories, which you may be aware of aren't known for being realistic.  Rather their purpose is to create fantastical romance, or fantasies.
