    • Start over at 1
      29
    • Keep counting to infinity (count to the next million(s))
      105
    • Count back down to 1 (then back up)
      52
    • Other (pm or mention if you'd like)

I hope you'll find / have found a positive outlook onto the future then :)

Well, I've only just discovered it and tried only a few words, but it seems to work rather well. And if it doesn't catch a word... could just be my bad Russian

Yup.

I'm fine thanks. Now learning Russian with voice recognition. ^_^

And as I expected... it doesn't recognize when I try to do a word with the soft sign (look up palatalization)... that's really hard to do tho :(
palatalization is important tho as it can make the difference between брат (brother) and брать (to take)

Haven't had a word with ы* yet, but I'm almost certain I'll fail at that too...

*there's a sound example here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_central_unrounded_vowel

Had a little smile as a Kiwi (NZ) colleague was trying to use the Brain Training Game on my DS with the "say the colour not the word" game and it wouldn't recognise him say "black" as it sounded like "blik"

And my Чьё comes out as all kinds of variations like Чьо Чё etc, but never as Чьё
Screw you, palatalization

Sounds complex.

Children's TV show Go Jetters is using a reworked Status Quo Rockin' All Over The World for an advert and also AC/DCs Back In Black for a trailer c:

Currently I'm mostly using Lingvist, but I have used both Duolingo and Memrise in the past ^_^
They all got their advantages and disadvantages.

With Lingvist you basically only learn individual words and forms of those words (plural, cases etc) by completing sentences, but they have awesome documentation on grammar etc as well :)

With Duolingo you either read or listen to a sentence then translate it by picking from a word list. I think they also have speaking excercises. Haven't used this the longest.

And Memrise is like a mix. You get individual words, you get phrases, sentences. You get reading and listening. Writing and speaking.
