I don't think I was ever taught linegraphs, I'm afraid.

Yeah... 

I mean I got it for k,l==3 ; since i can just draw it and count 

Then i made some formulas for that so i can calculate it instead of counting. 

Problem is now that I'll have to make them general for k,l ; and that proves problematic...
