I feel like TV should be in 60 fps. I mean, the technology has to be good enough to allow that to happen and it's not like displays don't support 60 fps.

Your TV supports 60 fps (very likely). Most displays these days do it. But TV programs? Nah, more like 24. People thought The Hobbit looked very weird because it was at 48 fps. I think it would look weird for a while but then we'd get accustomed to it. With live action programs, your brain can't really tell that it's 24 fps because of a camera trick they use called blur. 

 

Some video game can do blurring, but it's that requires using more GPU power and it'd reduce your performance everywhere else, which is why PC gamers almost always shoot for 60 fps or as close to it as they can get.

well youtube is in 60 fps now and it looks fine to me

YouTube supports 4K and it also will do 60 fps at 720p or 1080p. 

 

 

Remember to switch it to 720p. It's really a noticable difference.

I think PewDiePie is doing his videos in 60 fps these days as well.

I mean, you can tell the difference in the resolution but I think a 60 fps picture always looks much cleaner than the standard 24.
