Sorry I sort of fell off the face of the earth with no warning and no PM; my mum came downstairs and flipped her...face because I'm not supposed to be on the Internet past nine. (I'm not supposed to be on now either, but hahaaaa, she's out at the moment) and I was in the city all day yesterday. I'll be leaving again soon to take my learner's permit written test but I'll be on this arvo.

Not really, it's about the same, but I used to be a fan of PM OoC's. Seems like this is a group that prefers the good old fashioned way.

No worries! I didn't make too many changes meself. Did you see my post about what I wanted to do with Chemm and Erlen (post 50)? I wanted to see if that was ok with you. Chemm won't be traveling with Erlen, but she would know about Fair Entropy through television.

So, am I correct in saying that our characters were supposed to think the only competition was the one to get to go on the train ride, and the only thing they don't yet know about is the further competition to win the money, which they will hear about on the train?

You'd won the competition - the chance to go on a whirlwind all expenses paid month long train ride with the enigmatic (and rather buxom) daughter of the late Sapphire Shores herself - Fair Entropy, the film star! ...

Heart soaring, you get to meet her yourself, and you learn that on your journey, you'll be participating in a...competitions of sorts, ending in a prize with zeros you can't even count without making your bumpkin head spin!

 

Gah, I'm confused. XD I went back and read this - I'm pretty sure it means our characters knew about the first competition, right?

The money competition is to be announced on the train. However, your characters ENTERED the competition to get on the train, such as one might enter to win concert tickets.

I think if we can have a short conversation on the train, and create some weird time-warp zone where it doesn't take several hours to reach Canterlot, we should arrive at the station within probably 3-5 posts (depending on our posting to others), before we magically and coincidentally fall in with the rest of the group somehow o.o
