gaming One Piece Pirate Warriors and General One Piece Discussion.

If any of you are One Piece fans, I'm sure you've heard of the newest game coming out of the One Piece franchise. This game is done in the style of Dynasty Warriors and is so far looking pretty awesome! So far we only know that the game is coming out in Japan in March, but the UK and the US both has rights to the game title, so we may get the game yet. Discuss your hopes and what you are expecting from the game. This thread can also be used as a general thread for all things One Piece, so feel free to bring pirate related up!

there's no official word on a us release from what my sources on FB tell me i aint trusting that certain forum filled with noobs when it comes to this stuff but if it comes to the US it will be a first day buy for me just because i i wanna help anime games not the biggest one piece fan but its or first one in awhile so i wont miss it if we get it. sorry if this sounded mean.

If you're talking about the Naruto forums, then yeah, I'm not going to believe any info posted over there. On the other hand, I'm a member of a group on Facebook called One Piece in North America and they are pretty good about keeping up with info on the game and they seem to think it has a pretty good chance of coming to America.

i follow them on FB if we dont get an official statement bye the time storm Gen comes out its up in the air but i have faith since Bleach for ps3 came to the us why not one piece if it don't then not much can be done

A One Piece fan here.

 

I've heard about this game, but I'm not letting myself get excited over it. Simply because I don't have any newer game systems beyond GBA and a Gamecube that i never play, I haven't been big on video games in recent years anyways, and the chances of this reaching the states are pretty slim. Sure Naruto, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, and InuYasha got games released in the states is because they are very popular and are still on TV. Unfortunately 4Kids killed its potential to reach the same level of popularity here in the states, and I don't recall seeing any video game releases for anime being released only onto DVD. However, seeing how One Piece has gotten releases here in the states in the past, i'd say theres a chance.

I love One Piece, but I've never been interested in the video games. Typically, video games based off of non-gaming series just aren't very good.

 

I don't even have a PS3, so it's a good thing I'm not interested in it.
