 This is a free-life rp, only restricted to the rules. If you leave the bounds, you're out. No offense or anything.  Splash Paint stepped out onto the front doorstep of her new home. It had been a while since it had been fixed after a scarasprite invasion ((talk to me if ya wanna hear more)). Ponyville's Art Studio shone brightly in the glittering sun. The enormous paint palette and paintbrush that adorned the entry shimmered as beautifully as ever. Splash sighed, ready to continue her life. She trotted into town, stretching her black, bat-like wings and adjusting her hair magically. She still wasn't used to her new appendages, but she was grateful that the Elements of Harmony had calmed the magical storm of conflict within her.

Roarke was just laying on his couch, lazily fiddling with some stuff. He was once again unemployed. I mean, a special talent in electrical engineering in a world that doesn't even use electricity for other things then the ocasional lightbulb can sometimes be pretty much useless.

He sighed once, looking at his front door. Maybe i should just go for a walk. Laying around all day isn't going to get me anywhere.

His suit crunched a little when he turned upright, and he quickly found out that a component had been crushed pretty badly.

"Nice, just what i need!" He exclaimed sarcastically as he trotted over to his workbench.

Having a cutiemark in electrical engineering could have it's downsides, but it definately had it's advantages too.

It didn't take him long to remove the component, repair it, and put it back on his suit again. After testing for a few minutes, he concluded that the component was indeed fully operational again, and he trotted out of his house.

Royroger woke up fairly early. He got up with a skip in his step, as he usually did. He put on his shirt and looked over at his sister. She was still sleeping in her bed, she usually woke up after him. Roy had been living with his mom and his Shirley ever since he was born. His family had a fairly nice sized house. The first floor was the diner that his mother owned, and the second floor was where they all lived. Roy and Shirley shared a room, since there were only two bedrooms. But he didn't mind, and neither did his sister. After fixing his mane a little, he headed downstairs and flipped the sign on the door to "Open". His mother was also still sleeping, and Roy usually was the only one working for breakfast. Luckily his mother had taught him and Shirley how to cook halfway decent food, so Roy was all set with it.

Icy woke up early today. She thought about staying in bed and just sleep the day way. She yawned before curling back up under her sheet and tried to go back to sleep. She tried, but after a while she realized she couldn't go back to sleep. she worked her way out of her bed and took her time brushing her mane. She walked out of her room and into the hallway. Even though she loved her adopted father, Regal, she didn't like how he kept moving from one place to another. Still as far as she knew she was born in Ponyville, but she had never set step in it before. Regal was up and running his store downstairs. Regal usually spent his time among the higher class of canterlot and such, she would never know why he decided to move to this little town. He smiled at Icy as she passed by him

"Good morning, my night rose" he said. Icy smiled.

"I'll be out" she said as she walked outside. She began to randomly walk around town. she kinda missed the big cities, but the ponies here seemed a lot nicer.

Roy was cleaning one of the tables when he heard hoofsteps coming down the stairs. He turned around and saw his sister walking groggily down the stairs. She had her hoodie on, but her hat was not on her head. "Well good morning sunshine. You're up early." Shirley sat down in a random chair. "Ah shut up Roy. Not all of us are morning ponies like you." Roy snickered and continued cleaning the table he had been previously wiping down. "Where's your hat?" Shirley felt the top of her head and sighed. "I forgot to put it on." "Again." "Shut up." Shirley groggily made her way upstairs and gabbed her hat. When she came back downstairs she went into the kitchen and started putting bread in a toaster.

Equinox woke up in his bed tired and mane a mess as he got up. "Third time this nite Deranged kept me awake...at least he will stay quiet today" Equinox said to himself as he went to his bathroom and fixed his mane and grabbed a blade in its sheath as he left his house with his glasses on and walked around. "Bloody bright outside today..." Equinox sighed

Icy noticed a diner as she was walking around. She had skipped breakfast and was hungry. Looking at her pouch she thought about it. Icy wondered how ponies here will treat her since she was of wealth.

"No need for anypony to find out" she said to herself. She walked in and looked around

Roy looked up and saw a mare walk into the diner. "Ah hello. Welcome to Sunny Side Up. You may take a seat wherever you'd like. I'm Royroger and I'll be waiting you. If you want, you may call me Roy." Roy smiled at the mare. One of his strongest traits was being mature for his age, and being very proper. He was the polar opposite of his sister.

"Oh thanks" Icy looked around was sorta disappointed and happy. She thought this place would have some theme or elegance of diners that Regal took her to before, although it was good just to see a plain place without any decor and such. She took a seat close to her and sat down. 

"Can I get a glass of water?" she asked.

Roy nodded. "Sure thing." Roy made his way over to the kitchen. He started pouring water into a glass. "There's a mare out front. And she's nice looking." Shirley smacked the back of her brother's head/ "Shut up Roy! I told you not to talk about that. Besides I'm still not sure. So why don't you drop it, kay?" She had hissed the words so they could not be heard outside of the kitchen. Roy chuckled and left the kitchen with the glass of water. He placed it down on the table and smiled. "Here you go ma'am. Is there anything else you would like? Or would you like me to give you a minute?"

Equinox passed by many places before he heard his stomach rumble. "Probably should have gotten something to eat before I left...no matter there's a diner nearby anyways" Equinox said to himself as he went to the diner he saw and entered. "Um...hello" Equinox said

Roy saw another pony come in. He was still waiting for the other mare to respond, so he called his sister. "Shirley! Come wait a pony out here." Shirley walked out of the kitchen and smiled at the stallion. "Hey, I'm Shirley. You can sit anywhere. What would you like?" Roy sighed at how unprofessional she sounded. Shirley gave him a glare that said, shut up I'm tired, and looked back at the stallion in front of her.

"Just pancakes please" Equinox said as he sat down at a table. "Oh and a glass of water please" Equinox added as he took his glasses off and sets them down on the table. "Need to remember to eat anyways haven't eaten since 3 days ago and now my stomach makes a noise" Equinox thought to him self

As Roarke made his way through the town, he dropped by some ponies wich might have a job for him.

Much to his dispise however, everywhere he goes seems to be completely deserted of any jobs. Angry about his fate, he decided to just put all of his frustration in a rock he found on the ground. He kicked it as hard as his armor klad hoof would let him, and the rock flew through the air...

 

 

...Right through a window.

The window used to be of a diner.  buck me to tartarus! Roarke thought as he made his way to the diner.

Once inside, he let the helmet fold down in his collar and hoped for the best, his muzzle sporting a sheepish smile.

"Ehrm... I'm terribly sorry about the window.."

Icy was off in in her own thoughts before noticing that the stallion was talking to her.

"Oh I'm so sorry. um just pancakes please" she said trying to be nice. The sound of shattering glass startled her. She froze the water in the glass and looked at the rock that was in the diner.

"Thanks for waiting on me"

Shirley nodded. :Sure thing pal. Be back in a-" She jumped at the sound of glass shattering. A pony in wierd armor came through the door. She hadn't even heard the first word out of his mouth before she was yelling. "WHAT THE BUCK! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE-" Roy walked over to Shirley and put his hoof on her shoulder. She was fuming, but Roy calmly said, "That mare would like some pancakes. And get her a water while you're at it." Shirley glared at her brother, before walking away and starting on the orders. Roy turned back to the pony who had broken the window. "It's fine sir, no need to worry. I'm sure I can get it replaced."

Equinox sighed as he looked at the broken window. "I can fix it" Equinox said as his horn glowed blacked and the shards of the window formed back together fixing the window before laid his head down. "Spent all night trying to learn spells like this and they still wear me out" Equinox said as he sat up.

Roarke looked in amazament as the unicorn repaired the window.  

"Wow, that's rather impressive." He stated as he inspected the window more closely.

There wasn't a scratch. The window looked like it was just fitted into it's frame.

"I didn't even know they had spells like this. Thank you very much sir, you just saved me and this diner a whole lot of trouble."

"Yeah well it wasn't easy either" Equinox said. "Those spells I made myself but it takes a lot out of a unicorn...reason why I dont use spells like that a lot" Equinox said as he looked at the pony who broke the window. "Why would you throw a stone anyways are you that bored or something"

Roarke was snapped out of his fasination with the spell by the unicorn's harsh question.

"Well, in some degree, yes. But it was more out of frustration then boredom. You see, i have been unemployed for months now. And my special talent isn't really helping, who needs somepony who's talent is electrical engineering anyway?" He huffed and flared his nostrils in frustration.

"So i kicked that rock, not looking where i kicked it to. And by the time i realized it was headed for the window it was allready to late."

She took an interest to the other unicorn. She didn't know a spell like that. She got up from he seat and walked over to the the stallion.

"Maybe you should make a job that uses electrical engineering then in stead of looking" Equinox said as he heard the question from the mare.

"I made the spell my self....reason why I never left my house much by the time I finished it I went out to get something but yeah I made the spell my self and it was a pain in the plot to make and its not finished since I used most my magic using it" Equinox said

Roy had gone back to the kitchen to check on the orders. Shirley was finished with one order and was already working on the next. "You need to learn to be more lenient with others. There was no need to yell at that stallion. At least until after he had explained himself. But before you tell me to shut up, the unicorn you're waiting on fixed it with some spell. So there's no need for you to worry." Shirley said nothing, and slid the pancakes over to her brother. Roy sighed and put the order on a small platter, along with a glass of water. He carried the platter in his mouth, deftly carrying it over to the mare. or at least where he thought she was. She seemed to be talking to another pony. "Miss, your order is ready." He turned towards the pony in the odd suit. "Would you like anything sir? You can forget about the whole window ordeal, considering the problem has been resolved. I'm not one to hold grudges anyway."

"Thank you kindly" Icy said as she bowed to him. "Can I guess this kind of thing happens a lot in this town?" she smiled at him

She turned to face the unicorn.

"But still such a spell like that how do you mange to create a spell? By the way what is your name?"

Roy shook his head. "No this is the first time something like this has happened. I'm just not the kind of person to get mad at such things. And welcome to Ponyville. It truly is a lovely place." Roy smiled and went to see if Shirley was done. She had some out of the kitchen before he had even walked five steps. She placed the pancakes and water in front of the stallion. "There ya go. Is there anything else I can get you?"
