"Well now you say it, i would practically do anything for a good breakfast right now. And thanks about the whole window thingy." 

Roarke flashed the stallion a warm smile, and sat down at one of the tables in the diner.

He looked over the menu once, and decided that it was pretty hard to make a good decision.

He took a quick look around, and spotted the plates of the other guests. they all ordered pancakes? they must be pretty good around here.

He put the menu down, and placed his order.

"I'll have what she's having." He said, pointing a hoof in the direction of the pancakes.

"Thank you" Equinox said as he turned to the mare who was talking to him. "My name is Equinox Sin and the way I made the spell was a very long process and I rather not talk about it at all" Equinox said as he took a bit of his pancakes. "Anyways I dont think you want to learn how I made the spell"

"Why not? I would like to learn how to do that. Do you think I wouldn't understand?" Icy looked at her glass cup  began to weave the water around her hoof before freezing it. She took a bite from her pancakes.

"Im serious but if you want...then I wont tell you" Equinox voice changed to british accent and sounded mad. "Now why would you want to learn the spells I make they could drain you of your magic" Equinox said as he looked at Icy with a cold stare. "Also it because he has two sides to him in order to make his own"

Princess Luna headed towards Sugarcube Corner. The ponies she passed bowed down to her. "For the last time, we do not need to be bowed down to!" Luna sighed as the ponies quickly got back on their hooves and went back to what they were doing before she passed them.

Roarke Noticed the mare, but chose to ignore the statement she made. He didn't really make a good entrance here so making a scene wouldn't really do any good.

Instead he just chose to look the other way.

Roy smiled. "Of course." Roy went back into the kitchen as Shirley followed. Roy began to make the pancakes, and Shirley went into a closet to get a stool. As she came out with the stool, Roy snickered. "What happened? Did I miss something?" Roy shook his head. "Just didn't think I'd see you come out of the closet so soon." Shirley turned a deep red and smacked Roy once again. She regained her composure and walked back out to the tables. The two unicorns seemed to be in a conversation, so Shirley sat across from the stallion who had broken the window. She huffed and plopped her head onto the table. "Hey sorry about earlier. This place is just really close to me. But it's all good now. I'm Shirley."

"Uh  What is wrong with you and your accent?" This pony was suddenly acing strange. 

"If I have upset you I'm sorry, But you don't have to be so rude" She gave him a cold look to match his look. She gathered her things and moved away from the pony. She thought of him as a interesting pony, but really he was a jerk on the inside.

The stallion in front of Shirley seemed to be lost in thought, so when she saw the mare move, she moved with her. But Roy had been right.. She did look quite nice... Shirley shook her head and sat near the mare. "Um... Hey. I was just bored so I came over to talk. What's your name?"

"Damn it Deranged" Equinox said. "She got to curious what were you going to do tell her you know chaos No way im letting that happen" Deranged said. "I was never gonna say that...thanks to you I always leave a bad impression on people cant you for once shut up and not talk" Equinox said

"Me?" She turned to face the pony. Icy remembered this mare from earlier, her yelling was impressive.

"I am Icy Night. A pleasure to meet you" she said. Remembering she still had Ice wrapped around her hoof, she had the ice crawl up her leg and jump in to the empty glass, where it became water once more.

"You work here don't you?" she said smiling

Shirley watched as Icy did her magic. "That was freakin awesome! I'm Shirley, and yea I work here. Been working here with my mom and my brother for as long as I can remember. Um.. just wondering, but are you going to eat your food? I'm not asking for it or anything, I just don't want to see you waste your bits." She smiled and moved her hat slightly so it was in the position she liked. Riy came out of the kitchen with what Roarke had ordered and set the platter in front of him. "Anything else I can get you?"

 Roarke watched as his platter was served. "Nope. Thank you kindly."

At first, he didn't expect much from the diner. The prices on the menu seemed very cheap in comparison to other places he has been, but he was proven wrong when he took a bite from his pancake. It was really, really good, and he let out a satisfied groan to make sure the message got recieved.

Equinox finished his pancakes and drank the rest of his water. He then placed 50 bit on the table and left without saying goodbye. "Not even saying goodbye or sorry to the mare...thats cold" Deranged said. "Yeah well you need to learn how to shut up...I can barely make friend with you around"

"Yeah I ate some of it, but i lost my appetite after I was talking to Equinox. Don't worry about it. Bit come and go. Some thing I've learned beside I full anyways thank you"  She watched as Equinox payed for his food and left.

"So you live here right? why is he so rude?" Icy asked.

Shirley lifted an eyebrow. "Well those were two very separate questions. But yes I do live here. Upstairs is where the living space is. And I didn't realize that he was rude. What happened? He was nice enough to fix the window, that's odd..."

Roy chuckled at Roarke's appreciation for the food. "Hehe, I'm glad you like it. I'll probably just stay out here, so just call me if you need me." Roy walked over to the now empty table and picked up the bits. 50!? That's quite a generous tip. I'll have to thank him if I ever see him again. Roy picked up the empty platter and put it in the kitchen. Upon coming out, he found himself sitting in random seat.

"Forget it. Maybe I just caught him in a bad mood" -and I can be annoying sometimes- she add to herself in her head.

"Still this is a nice place. So this is your home huh? Want to be friends? I'm new and don't know this place very well" She scratch her head unsure if she was being a little pushy.

Shirley laughed. "Sure we can be friends. I'm not really into girly stuff so don't ask me to go shopping every other day." Shirley chuckled again. "But yea I live here. My dad left us when I was like a year old so I don't remember him. Roy was only three so he probably doesn't know him much either. But growing up with my mom was awesome. I don't see how he could have left her. Anyway enough of me unloading my life story on you. I'll be happy to show you around Ponyville some time."

Equinox arrived at the par and sat down. "I swear...if Deranged does this again I might just move from Ponyville to Luna knows where" Equinox said as he looked around and saw it was quiet in the park. "This is a first...I can finally close my eyes and rest a bit" Equinox said

"Well I never knew my parents. My father was never around, and my mother. I got a few years to know her, but she... died when I was old enough to fend for myself. At least she died the way she wanted. I was raised by Crimson. He was kind and he even taught me to fight. I miss almost as much as I miss my mother I only knew him for a short while. Regal found me when I return to visit my mothers grave. I've been with him ever since. I wonder if Crimson or Regal is my father, but I doubt I'll ever know" Icy seemed to be off in thought as she finished.

Roarke just finished the last bite of his pancakes when his suit gave out a tiny wirl. A small piece of his shoulder clicked, and a little hologram appeared before him. It wasn't anything special, just a little clock. oh damn, almost forgot i also had an appointment in town today.

He looked around a little, and spotted the stallion that served him sitting at a table.

"Sir! I'd like to pay please." He stuck his hoof out as a gesture to come, the little hologram never disappearing

Splash crouched and then burst off the ground. She was't the best with her wings but she did so love to fly. Feeling the rush of the wind was the greatest thing ever imaginable to her. She twirled around clouds and was up there for probably and hour before attempting to land which ended in a drastic failure. She hadn't had lessons so she had to teach herself. She crashed into the ground, nearly blacking out from the pain of stepping on her wing.

"I should've just used magic to levitate myself," she grumbled as she picked herself off the ground. She noticed a sign and her stomach grumbled. She trotted into the restaurant.

Shirley frowned. "Oh... I guess I shouldn't be complaining then. Well if you ever need to talk, Just come on by. I have a customer to wait on." Shirley got up from her seat and trotted over to the pony. She hadn't wanted to stop talking to Icy, but she felt like waiting on this odd looking pony. "Uh, hey. Welcome to Sunny Side Up. What would you like?" 

 

Roy saw his sister walk away from Icy. He had wanted to talk to the unicorn, for she seemed very proper. He trotted over to the table and sat down. "Hello. Is there anything else I can get you?" He didn't want to start a conversation because he knew she would be puzzled for him coming over to start a conversation when he should be waiting on her. That, and he wasn't very good at starting conversations.

Equinox opened his eyes and looked up at the sky. "I should go and apologize to her" Equinox said as he got up from his seat and went back to the diner. "Hopefully Deranged will stay quiet" Equinox said to himself as he entered the diner and saw the mare from before.

"Uh?" She was remembering things when Roy walked up to her. She looked over her food. She was full even though it was only a little she ate. 

"I think I'm done for now. Thank you" she would have smiled at him, but remembering things had made her unable to smile. she took a deep breath and smiled at the pony.

"Nice restaurant. I think I might came back tomorrow" she stood up and began to walk out of the diner when she saw Equinox come in.
