Bass Cannon looked to Mr. Levski "I am Bass Cannon sir. And I'm requesting to ask you a few questions." She says with a smile on her face. "I'd like to know... How you feel about concerts? To be more specific... An EDM Concert here at the school..." She stands up and takes out her laptop, turns it on, and looks through her schedule. "It can be anytime during the day... And it'd last about 3 hours." She looks up to Mr. Levski "I know you have a school to run here, and I'm not trying to get in the way of it. I'm just simply helping you by distracting the students so you can get whatever needs to be done, done." She closes the laptop and puts it in one of her bags.

Mr. Levski wasn't in the best of moods, despite Bass Cannon's politeness. What really concerned him most was that Bass Cannon never specifically mentioned the type of concert he wanted to hold. Furthermore, he wasn't too pleased that Bass was trying to manipulate his situation for her desires... With his typical Baltimare accent, he spoke,

 

"Ok, first off. What type of concert is this? And second, Even though I'm splattered with work here, I still have a school to run. And you guys have to get to learnin the material you need for your futures. Do you expect me to believe that this concert will be an educational experience these students will need for their lives?"

Bass Cannon looked slightly confused. "I told you what kind of concert it'd be. It'd be an EDM concert. EDM = Electronic Dance Music. And I was thinking maybe it could be on the weekend or perhaps after school." She looks back onto her schedule. "Hmmm... Well. Perhaps we can both be helped out here. I can call a friend of mine to help you with managing the school, and you guys can do that, while the concert is going on." She puts her laptop away again.

Mr. Levski was looking confused. He decided to get straight to the point.

 

"Ok Bass Cannon... so tell me why you want this... EDM... concert to be held on school grounds, especially when it could be held elsewhere after school or in the weekend as you proposed." He didn't like this concert one bit... and it certainly wasn't the old music that loved to listen to either.

Bass knew that the principal didn't want the concert here, but she had to keep trying... "Well I want it to be held here mainly because I don't have enough bits to pay the city to do it anywhere else. I could always pay you a few bits if that's what it takes." She really didn't want to have to pay, but she will if she needs to...

The principal was becoming tired of Bass Cannon's persistent requests... well if what it took was granting her request, then so be it... Plus, there was the fact that it was Bass who was holding the concert. Noticing her cutie mark being a bass cannon, she was probably just trying to show off her talents to the world... That was something he couldn't possibly deny...

 

"All this time I thought you were trying to host somepony else... the fact you're willing to pay bits was what made me realize it was YOU who wanted to perform. Well, considering it's your natural talent and all... I guess we could slot in a performance time this weekend... BUT... I expect YOU to be responsible for all the clean-up work after the concert, since you're hosting it!" Mr. Levski spoke assertively. It was her concert, and she had to be responsible for all the work associated with it...

Bass Cannon had a slightly shocked look on her face "Why would I try and host a concert for someone else? I wouldn't do that if my life depended on it. And I thank you for letting me go on with it. Oh, and did you want me to call in my friend to help you with anything? He's skilled in a lot of different studies, and has graduated college with a few different degree's." She rummaged through one of her bags and got out a card, and put it on Mr. Levski's desk. "There's his contact info in case you actually need his help with anything." She gathered her things and stood up "Thank you for your time and for the time for the concert." She headed out the door.

Principal Levski was glad the situation was over. Bass Cannon finally left the room, and he was now able to get back to his work. He was happy to see that Bass Cannon was going to expand her talents through his help, another trigger for him to accept the deal. Still, he never appreciated anything dealing with DJ work. How that was a talent, he never understood... He was just glad that ordeal was over...

Corona followed Sterling into the cafeteria her heart racing with each step that they took. Once they made it into the cafeteria Corona found an empty table and took her seat, pulling out her brown bag lunch. Corona pulled out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, followed by a lettuce and daffodil salad with a juice box to go with it. "Mmmm I can't wait to dig into this I've been waiting all day to eat my first real creations on my own. What did you bring to school for lunch today Sterling?"

Sterling saw the PB and J sandwich Corona took out. Nothing too fancy, and nothing too bland. He thought it was a good choice for lunch. Sterling then took out his lunch, his very favourite: cabbage salad. He then showed it to Corona,

 

"Here Corona! It's my personal favourite: cabbage salad! My parents make the best ones around!" Sterling then dove into his salad, enjoying every single bite...

English class went by very slowly for Pink Heart, who simply wanted to get away from Diamond Glitter as soon as she could. The lunch bell couldn't have rung any sooner. She quickly rushed out of the class, ignoring Diamond Glitter's calls to her. She didn't want to be threatened like that, and Diamond was no friend of hers! She didn't care if Sterling met up with Diamond first. She would make sure that didn't happen! She was determined to see Sterling before Diamond pulled another prank...

Corona looked at the salad and smiled, Corona loved cooking and she was getting better and better at it. "That looks really good Sterling. My mom's been teaching me how to cook and make some really nice dinners. Maybe I can cook for you one night." Corona took a bite out of her sandwich, she was enjoying her time with Sterling but her mind was starting to focus more and more on the race that she was going to be having later. A few ponies walked by and stared at Corona before taking a seat at a table behind them and started talking.

 

"Hey did you hear that the grey mare at that table is going to race Forest after school today?"

"Yeah, she doesn't look like much. It'll be one sided as we watch Forest smoke her off the starting line."

Sterling overheard the ponies in the background as Corona talked about her family's cooking. He wasn't at all amused by their chattering about how she'd lose to a certain stallion after school. He wasn't the type to start a conflict though, so he kept his mouth shut. Instead, he focused on having faith in Corona and cheering for her once that so-called "race" started...

 

"Ooh, that would be wonderful Corona! I'd love to see how good of a chef you are!" Sterling responded with a beam. It was then that he realized that he should ask Corona about the race the other ponies were chattering about...

 

"Oh Corona... I heard there was going to be a race happening after school. What's up with that?" Sterling asked with curiosity.

Regal's stomach growled as he sat in the cabinet. He felt so stupid and reckless.
"My dear celestia this is so unfair" He wanted to eat and hang out with Snowdream, but know he had to wait in the biology room until he was back to normal.

"I'm sorry I couldn't keep my word" he said as he hung his head in disappointment

Forest was eating with his friends. He heard the other ponies talk about how he was going to smoke Corona in the race. He smiled. He wouldn't disappoint his fans.

"You know if she beats you, you won't be top flier anymore."
"Yeah, would be a shame to lose your rep to her"
"In a normal race Forest doesn't stand a chance, but this is an obstacle course race, Forest got this"
"Shut it. All of you, I won't lose" Forest said a little mad his own friends doubted his talent. "I should beat you for saying that" he said smile.

Corona giggled hearing Sterling compliment her on her cooking, she would love to show Sterling what she could make thanks to her mothers teachings. She could already picture it now, making a sweet stew for Stirling followed by some home made rolls and a flower salad to go along with it. Corona suddenly snapped back to reality realizing that she'd been daydreaming a bit while she'd been taking a bite out of her sandwich. Corona quickly finished the bite before answering Sterling's question. "Oh yeah me and Forest have a race after school. Coach Dust made both of us Lead Aces and he wants to see which of us is better and more deserving of the title. So we're racing after school through the forest to see who's better suited, but don't worry Sterling I have no intentions of loosing."

Sterling giggled back at Corona when she spoke of her confidence in beating this rival flyer across Baltimare's forest. What surprised him was her confidence after all. He decided to ask her about something...

 

"Corona... how can you be so confident about winning this race against this experienced flyer? You don't even know the route across this forest you speak of! I'm sorry for not having more confidence, but I'm just worried about you that's all..." Sterling spoke with a clear nervousness in his voice. He was also hoping that no one would be there to ruin her race...

Corona blushed when she heard how concerned Sterling was for her safety. "I've been flying all my life and practicing my flight skills constantly. I mean I wanna become a full fledged Wonderbolt some day, and if I can prove to myself that I have what it takes to show my skills I'm not going to pass it up." Corona didn't like showing off, but if it meant getting some ponies off of her back at school she'd do anything to make it happen especially if it meant to keep them from harassing Sterling.

Sterling had just finished his cabbage salad. He was surprised by Corona's confidence as she continued to speak about her flying abilities. He knew she was boasting at this point, but he didn't want to deflate her confidence. He replied with a cautious smile,

 

"Well in either case Corona, I hope you do well! I want you to win this race!"

Pink Heart was sitting at a table behind Sterling's. She could hear about a race that was happening between Corona and some other jock. Inwardly, she cheered for Corona to win the race just to make Sterling happy, but at the same time, she was worried about this... Hopefully Diamond didn't know about the race, because if she did...

Bass Cannon was sitting in the lunch room, looking bored as usual, trying to hide the fact that there's a huge concert this weekend and she's DJ'ing at it. She didn't want to make a big spectacle so she kept her cool and was acting as if she never thought of it. Well, she would try to keep her cool up until it's announced or something. She'll probably put up fliers... Actually, it's lunch time, now would would the best time. She takes off to her house and quickly comes back with a stack of fliers. She then proceeds to flying around the school hanging up the fliers so everyone is aware of the concert, and then makes her way back to the lunchroom.

Forest finish eating.
"Can't wait to show her who is the top flier" Forest said slamming his hooves onto the table. He took wing and flew off in the middle of lunch. His friends looked around and began to take bet from the ponies around them

"Want to place a bet?" said a green pegagus to Crimson. "The odds are 40 to 60 in Forest's favor"
"Half of the money goes to the club, the rest, well goes to the winner" said a dark blue pegasus. They looked and saw Corona
"Want to bet as well?" they said holding a jar towards them

Sterling looked at the green pegasus with a slight worry. He didn't want to sound stupid, but he wasn't the type of pony to bet. He wanted to keep his money to himself and he never liked the thought of gambling. He replied politely and nervously,

 

"Well... I'm not a betting pony type... My biggest reward is just seeing my friend Corona win, that's all."

"I don't make bets, and besides, I don't even know what I would be betting on." She said bluntly, getting up and rudely walking away.

 

Snowdream walked slowly through the school until she found a quite corner near the science labs where she could sit and not be disturbed.

 

Why didn't Regal come to the lunch room? I was right before, he doesn't really want to be friends, he was just being polite! she thought, feeling like an idiot for actually thinking that he might have liked her. Her eyes started to well with tears as she realized her only friend didn't like her after all.

She decided to try and stay away from them and she flew out of the lunchroom and through the halls. She came upon a lonely mare and stopped in front of her. "Why are you just sitting in the corner? Something a matter?"

Snowdream heard a mare approach and wiped her eyes, trying to calm herself down.

 

"I...*sniff* I'm okay." Snowdream said softly, feeling shy about this new pony.

 

"It's just... I don't really know anypony, well except one pony, but I don't think he actually likes me so... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't have any friends." She said, sobbing out the last few words before starting to cry quietly.

Corona huffed when she heard the ponies placing bets on her to loose to Forest. Corona just swatted the jar away when they came up to her with it. "You ponies think he's so great that you'd put down a mare that's just as good a flier as he is." Corona just scooted closer to Sterling until the ponies left them alone. It was then that she saw Bass talking with a light blue mare who seemed to be crying and was by herself except for Bass Cannon. Corona excused herself for a moment and flew over towards the table landing gently next to the mares. "Hey...are you ok?" Corona asked placing a wing gently on the light blue mare, Corona wanted to help lift her spirits in anyway possible.
