Frost sat back in his chair "Here comes the tough stuff." he thought as he sat back up to the table. "Well heat resistant metal plates solves one problem. Reinforced cords and fabric wired in to an altimeter will help with the parachutes, but the target landing....." he said as he trailed off. "...that's my snag," he began shaking his head "A targeting would have to have to recalibrate all the proper readings every second due to the rotation of the planet, unless mabey it was set on a beginning and ending time table." he said as he corrected him self "but if a problem makes them stay back for even a second it could take hours to recalibrate by hand." he finished as he slumped back in his chair.

Keen's mind was screeching to a halt at this point as well. He said, "Hmm... Yes, that part seems to be the hardest. But, if we put together how it would fall through the atmosphere, orbital speed and position, and the rotation speed of the planet, with some calculations we could put it all together. It's just that we'd probably need more than a calculator..." Keen tried to put his mind on full throttle. He didn't want to have to spend too long pondering over just the targeted landing. He had an idea! "I have an idea!" he said. "Maybe, if we just made rough calculations to stay from landing on land, we could get the pod to land in a nearby ocean and have is transmit a signal for a rescue crew to follow!"

Frost perked up his ears at the idea. "That's right! the ocean between our continent and the others is thousands of miles long, that could give us a larger return window to calibrate into the computer database." he said bright as a light. With these two minds together things began to fit together like a puzzle.

Keen was astounded by all this productivity! He had come across only one catch to this solution, and though it might be easily solved, he thought maybe Frost could help find a better solution. He said, "The only thing is that we don't know how long it would take to get to the signal and pick up the pod, and the pod would also have to float. Obviously to fix flotation we could just have inflatable flotation devices kind of like inner tubes. But to compensate for the pod being stranded at sea, we'd need to make sure to pack more than enough supplies and maybe an small air hatch to allow for air filtration once they land. But maybe there's another way to do that more efficiently."

Frost went to a straight face from a happy face. "Well if we take into account the speed and time it would take to land ind the ocean, as well as it s wide viraity of land zones. I'm sure that about 75 percent of the way through the landing process we could get a rough estimate, mabey a fifty mile radius as the land zone." he said as he sat back in his chair to ponder some more. "To follow that up the beacon could take less power, but still pinpoint the location once the rescue crews arrive, With the extra power we could use it towards better air flow a d a major cool down system." he said as he pondered the idea of putting this on paper and submitting it to a comitee of some sort.

Keen thought that they had just about fixed every possible problem with this idea! He said, "Wow! This is just incredible! I can't possibly think of any more problems this would face... But even then we would solve it!" He smiled at Frost. He felt as though they were friends already.

Frost smiled back at his new friend. "We make a pretty good team don't we?" he said shaking Keen's hoof as he bit into his apple. "You know I never thought that I would meet somepony who was as into science and technology as I was." he said while munching on the apple. What he said was true. He had always exelled in all of his classes, but never got crap for it, nor did he get friends from it eather

Keen was filled with joy as Frost shook his hoof. Not only were these ponies nice, they were also like himself! Keen said, "I feel just the same. I felt so alone just because I never met anypony that shared an interest in such a field. And yes, we make an excellent team!"

Tounge-Tied hovered over the entrance and smiled gleefully her parents and sibling not far behind jer

"My little Bushkin is all grown up." Her Mother Pined in her native language

"Ma you knew this was coming." She replied speaking in the sake tounge

"See ya squirt." Her older brother smiled

"Bye Bye." Her baby twin siblings

"Let's do it!" She smiled

"Lets go! Let's go! Rah rah rah, for family!" They cheered.

And with that they left.

"Dorm 30..." she said, walking on three legs holding a book or world languages.

"Hmmm, Spanish or French?" She asked herself

Snowglobe hurried, magically made the door open to her dormitory, #13.

She jumped around, why? She herself didn't know she just jumped. She wondered if classes where going on ... "What if I'm late?!". She stomped her hoof. Impossible...Right? She asked herself, as she levitated some of her stuff to start working on another snowglobe. I'll find out later.  She thought.

Lightning Nova woke up from her nap, and groaned. She decided to go talk to her friends in the cafeteria, that nap had made her hungry. Lightning Nova got off her bed and trotted groggily to the cafeteria.  Lightning Nova waved as she walked through the door. and sat next to Frost. "Hey guys! What's up?"

"Nothing much," replied Epic. "You look rested. I'm guessing you took a nice nap. How are you?" She drank some soda and took a bite of her apple. She then burped rather loudly. Epic Rainbow blushed, embarrassed. "Oops," she said. "My bad. Uhh...just ignore that. Let's talk about some stuff..."

I'm hungry...  Snowglobe thought to herself, levitating her unfinished snowglobe and tucking it away in her bag. There must be a cafeteria...I wonder where it is. Snowglobe went out of her bedroom and looked around. Cafeteria...Cafeteria...Where are you?....  Slowly she started walking towards no where. Maybe I'll find someone, hopefully... She thought.

Keen looked over at Lightning. He said, "Oh, hey Lightning! I've been talking with Frost. He's pretty nice!" Keen's stomach started to rumble. "Oh! Looks like I've worked up an appetite! I think I'll go get some bits from my dorm. Sorry about this, but I'll be right back." Keen started going back to his dorm. 'Alright, dorm 22... Yeah, that's right.' he thought.

"Nothing much," replied Epic. "You look rested. I'm guessing you took a nice nap. How are you?" She drank some soda and took a bite of her apple. She then burped rather loudly. Epic Rainbow blushed, embarrassed. "Oops," she said. "My bad. Uhh...just ignore that. Let's talk about some stuff..."

Nova smiled. "I'm just fine, how are you guys?" Lightning Nova giggled when Epic Rainbow burped. "That was hardly a burp. I bet I could do a louder one than that, you give me 12 bits if I win, i'll give you 12 if I lose." Lightning ordered a soda and as soon as she had it, took a deep sip from it  and sloshed the soda around in her mouth. Finally she let out a long, huge burp. Bigger and huger than Epic's by far. Lightning Nova smiled at her victory. "My 12 bits?"

"I don't find it..." Snowglobe murmurmed to herself as she continued walking. " I haven't encountered anyone either... This is hopeless for my hunger!" Looking around her she spotted an entrance. It's enter and find out or get lost going back... "Success..." she whispered, trying not to catch attention. She slipped over to where they served food and looked around her. Ponies.. I wonder if they will be my friends...

Frost jerked awake and fell out of his seat when he looked up and saw Lighting, it had startled him greatly. He pulled himself back up to the table and slowly turned his head to Lighting "Heeeyyyy tthheereee sweetie." he said chuckling as he sat back down.

Tounge-Tied smiled, looking for somewhere to eat after dropping her books off she sighed

"Hmmm, maybe with this languages I can make some more friends." She said getting lost.

She panicked, after all no one likes being lost, she took a deep breath and backed up, soon finding herself back into the common areas

 Snowglobe saw the pony waving at her. She was unsure what to do.  I should probably sit there if I want to make friends...  Snowglobe slowly walked towards the waving pony. When she reached she said, trying to be as enthusiastic as possible, " Hey there! I'm Snowglobe, I just arrived! Would you mind if I sat there?" Snowglobe nodded at the seat. I wonder if she was actually waving at me...

Lightning Nova smiled. "Why are you asking? I asked you to come sit with us didn't I! My name is Lightning Nova, nice to meet you. These are my friends Epic Rainbow, Nova Flyer, Keen, and my coltfriend Frost. What's your name?" Lightning Nova smiled at the newcomer.

Keen was glad to have been quick in getting his food. He didn't want to miss out on meeting these new ponies. "Hi there, Snowglobe! I'm Keen, nice to meet you." He took another bite out of his apple before speaking again. "Don't worry, these ponies are really nice."

"Just making sure." Snowglobe smiled. " Nice to meet you too, and everypony else! I'm Snowglobe, I love making snowglobes!" She looked over at her flank. " Though it's not that special..." She laughed remembering. She made her way to the seat, and started eating. " I was so hungry! This is so yummy too." She said, finishing her apple. " So... If I remember, Lightin' Nova, Epic Rainbow, Nova Flyer, and Keen." I'm missing someone... " Oh! And Frost of course!" She exclaimed, trying to cover up the fact she had forgetten him. Snowglobe smiled at them. I think I can call them my friends?

"That's an awesome talent! I just have a talent for flying, that's nothing special." It really isn't, considering that your terrible at it. I bet if you showed them those flying tricks of yours, they would run off and find new friends. Why hasn't that frost guy dumped you yet? Ooh! I bet he is going to do it in public! He wants to make you cry-I haven't seen you cry in ages! This'll be a laugh!

Frost smiled and shook the mares hoof. "Hi, it's nice to meet you Snowglobe. All I can say is welcome to our little ragtag posse." he said with a smile as he turned to Lighting and kissed her. "I trust that your nap was wonderful sweetie." he said in a goo goo type tone.
