Siblings of the princesses?

I was watching "the ticket master" and rarity says that at the gala the princess will introduce her to her nephew. As In son of her brother and sister, wouldn't that mean princess Luna has a son, or is there perhaps more royal family we don't know about yet? Maybe this was just a quick addition for rarity's character development and content for the future "best night ever" episode, or is this a subtle setup for a reveal in a future season? Maybe a long shot but what do you bronies think?

 

 

P.S- I'm aware I ask alot of questions regarding things that may actually be nothing, but what's better to pass time and start conversation.

 

EDIT- I forgot to add in that because Luna was trapped for 1000 years she couldn't possibly have any children.

I highly doubt that any of the royal celestial sisters had any offspring...

 

I think I remember on the Season 4 info thread around here mentions a lot more Alicorn characters introduced from a tweet from the FiM staff. I think this will explain a lot regarding Blueblood, because Cadance as depicted in her canon story, was adopted by Celestia to become a princess like Twilight. Does this make Twilight her aunt now? I think it he was just in there for the sake of Rarity but, I also think that they could revisit the theme of them having more relatives down the line.

I would actually love if something like this happen, I mean it happened with apple jack.

I beleive that would make them sisters in law, and celestia and Luna the aunts? Not sure that's a confusing math problem that I'm having trouble wrapping my head around.

that is true, that episode is one of my favorites and it revealed alot of new characters for the apple family( a couple I might add were introduced such as in sweet and elite when the window washer( I don't have a name for him) was talking I rarity, he was in the apple family reunion, and apple struedel, and many others that were fill in characters that turned out to be members of the apple family) so maybe there could be relatives somewhere?

According to Lauren Faust, the princesses don't have siblings, Prince Blueblood is considered Celstia and Luna's great-great-great-great million more times great grand nephew 52 times removed on their mother's side. So technically. He's a Duke, but HASBRO has called him a Prince cause it fits better for some reason. Don't worry bout the logic of that episode. Sometimes the logic of MLP when it comes to families very complicated but hey, why we love it so much! ;) hope this helps u

it actually does help alot, where do you find information like this I'd love to be able to keep up with things like this..... I know twitter is a major one but I don't like twitter much, kinda confusing.

I got this info from MLP Wiki which is like Wikipedia but about ponies. It has all the info on the episodes, characters, seasons, villains, right down to the colour schemes of the ponies! Google mlp wiki and it'll come up. Hope this helps!

Why couldn't it be Celestia's son? Luna is a princess, too. In fact, Cadence might even have a nephew, though it's unlikely. My guess is that it's just an error, though don't take my word for it.

it couldn't be celestias son because Luna was locked away for 1000 years, and the show didn't officially recognize Luna as a princess until "Luna eclipsed" as she was back to just a filly when the elements of harmony stripped her of the dark power that controlled her, therefore they wouldn't have acknowledged as it being Luna's nephew. I kinda lost track of where I'm going with this so it doesn't really make sense in word form as much as it does in my head.

There is no real answer on this. and Lauren Fausts expaination made us even more confuesed.

Sadly The Writers might never adress him ever again because they are afraid that it would turn off viewers

It's hard to determine anything other than just lucky guesses. It could be possible that Celestia had a son or daughter, who knows. But I doubt Luna has ever had any offspring. Afterall, she was banished to the moon for a thousand years.

 

She was just gone from Equestria for over a millenium, and the times had moved on without her. So I doubt she could have found and meet any special somepony...sadly. :/

 

Of course, all we can do right is make our theories and assumptions before either the show confirms anything, or when and if the writers confirm it. :P
