Think about it. Bronies From The US Record MLP Videos and upload them to YouTube. In The UK We don't have The Hub, Will that isolate us if SOPA Comes Back?

I doubt it would Isolate the UK per say you'd most likely just have to buy the show to watch it and even if SOPA did come back no way in hell could it stop ALL piracy so torrenting is still an option. so the UK doesn't have it on any channels at all? I don't know if its on any free to air channel in Aus but we at least get it with cable

Lol, for real? Don't you mean the upcoming mandatory porn filter? Is that treasonous scum trying it again?

Just as predicted before. After SOPA, PIPA, ACTA and CISPA failed, they'll just try it a second time now, if the people can bring it down, they'll do a third time. Someday the people will become tired of it and fall into false safety, then it'll succeed.

Alex, Alex! You're walking away from history! History! Did Chris Columbus say he wanted to stay home? No! What if the Wright Brothers thought that only birds should fly? And did Galoka think that the Yulus were too ugly to save? -- Centauri to Alex Rogan; "The Last Starfighter" (1984)

You know, if people want people to stop streaming copyrighted videos online, there is a way to stop it.

Networks: stream your shows online and put in ads so that you can make money. This is for the people who, let's take MLP as an example, do not have the Hub and/or are not available to watch MLP at 10am.

Streaming MLP online is what made the show so popular, and why Hasbro has all of our money. If this law had been real by 2009, we wouldn't have a fourth season.

Also sending people to jail for posting MLP episodes or any other show is such a waste of money. Why are we punishing the people who help spread awareness of the show? Ugh.

I hate sopa it's such a stupid thing. Like seriously...

They don't realize how much publicity and impact videos on YouTube about shows and games has.

Without those the amount of love for these things will diminish, and so will sales.

You can't really stop people from pirating stuff if they really want to, there will always be highly skilled people out there offering ways to get stuff.

I think we should follow the way that one company said, where the only effective way to stop it really, is to simply offer better alternatives.

Take spotify for instance, I bet that stops many people from pirating stuff.

They should do things like that. Not stuff like SOPA.

As for your question, it's possible, however there would technically be branches of Canadian YouTube like sites possibly, which I don't think US bills have an affect on.

Dunno, SOPA would affect everyone everywhere to a degree, negatively.

I hate it. SOPA is annoying dumb bill made by people who don't know the first thing about computers or the Internet.

Leave trying to limit piracy to the people who know the Internet, not to the government, which is made up of lots of people who don't even know how to get on a computer probaly anyways.

Have they not heard of "Game of Thrones?"

I'm guessing then they haven't heard of the fact that Time Warner's CEO said that piracy for that show is better than an emmy.

The government needs to face facts and accept that they won't be able to stop piracy.

SOPA has always been such a stupid bill and always will be.

Piracy or even uploading episodes to Youtube usually gives the show more ways to reach out to people and get more people to like it. And when someone likes something, what do they usually do?

Buy merchandise to support that something!

Just make some type of program that's Netflix, Spotify, and Gamefly combined, you pay around $10 a month and have access to nearly any anime, show, cartoon, song, movie or video game...sounds good to me. People get their money and we get to be entertained.

The piracy is a terrible thing, but sadly, we can't really do anything for it.

The best solution for Hasbro is to post all the episodes on their website or on their youtube channel. With the adds, they will earn money for their work. Sadly, this is the same thing for everything, even for music.

And let's encourage Hasbro by buying stuff, they need money for their great work.

I find it sad that CEOs for television companies are so out of touch with the average viewer that they would be more willing to allow people to be thrown on jail for spreading awareness of their show than changing their business structures to reach out to more viewers and make more money.

Every respectable business makes changes to support the needs of their consumers. The television industry is deluded into believing that their archaic structures are working the same way they did 30 years ago, when in reality the only reason why the television industry is thriving the way it is is BECAUSE of YouTube and other ways of streaming content, legal or illegal.
