Flying shouldn't be allowed :/ someone who flies with a pole arm is almost a 100% Mary Sue... And that would suck :/

No flying would be balanced by either flying enemies or being limited to how long they can fly so it wont be unlimited or make a character a Mary sue...why do people use Mary sue as a definition for characters that are perfect or overpowered in every aspect?

Im pretty sure the terms Mary Sue and Jon Doe come from the criminal investigation world.

When they find a body, but have no idea who it is and there is no form of ID on the body, until they figure out who it is (through DNA testing, dental records, maybe fingerprinting) they label the male bodies as Jon Doe and the female ones as Mary Sue, simply because the bodies all have a lack of identity. Its either that or when a body is unidentifiable, like it has decomposed somewhat before they found it, or the corpse is burnt so no features are apparent.

On the topic of flying, I personally feel it'll balance out as long as it's limited.  For obvious reasons there was not orginally any form of flying in Aincrad (if I spelled it right), though the open world did have broad skies.  A lot of key locations like where bosses and quests lead are located inside of dungeons.  As long as there is a limit to how far you can fly into the air and they're forced into areas where flying is minimal anyway, I see no problem.

Eh, it's fine.  Real life takes a snap at everyone.  It's perfectly understandable.  Though since you're going to be taking a GM sort of role, you should make sure what you're able to post can keep the story moving.  Otherwise you just have the rest of the players building the world as they go.

He said as he saw his party member slay one of them. "Might as well help out others." He flew and stabbed the only boar near the gray unicorn and slashed it away.

One thing I noticed is that since Sword Art Online had skipped a lot of floors between each episode, that and a lot of the content of the world is implied rather than shown, I'm curious how we're going to handle this.  After all, Death is a consequence that shouldn't be ignored when handling this roleplay.  It's something that adds serious consequences to the decisions of the players.  For the most part we've just been fighting low level monsters like boars and making the world as we go, but when we get to unknown floors or are fighting a boss I'm curious how this is going to be handled.
