deleted1 117 August 28, 2013 Author Share August 28, 2013 Unfortunately, yep, on both big toes, since forever! But weirdly, it doesn'y hurt, it's not infected, it has never hurted or been infected. The skin round it somehow dried and became more resistant. I've seen terrible things on google image and I hope it doesn't happen to me. Heh! All of those.. Ugly ones on google images are, well they leave it until it gets worse! *Grins* Heh.. Eehh,... I have one ingrown toenail and have not taken it out yet. I'm getting ready for it soon though. I know it will be painful, but I'm hoping to just do it quickly and get it over with. It's like getting a needle. It may not be too pleasant at first, but it will be over before you know it. Ey at least you're getting a bloody shot to numb your foot! They didn't give me one! had one and the onfection got so bad it was oozing all the time and I had to have surgery on my toe. The infected tissue and a bit of the toenail had to be removed, it isn#t really visible by now Sorry what happened to you, i hope its healthy again x3.
Enigma Stitch 51 August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 I've had one on each big toe. It made it hard to run for acouple weeks or wear shoes. And when i clipped them, the clippings looked like serrated scimitars. http://www.bronyland.com/images/quiz/banner_pinkiepie.jpg I kinda doubt the energy part. MichaelxXxTrixie 433 August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 I in-fact did have an ingrown Toenail just once. I promptly removed it with pliers, now trust me that is not a good idea. I believe the after-effect was worse than the ingrown toenail itself. Thanks to the lovely Pink Mist for the magnificent signature!
notdog1996 315 August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 Never had one and never planning to. I cut my toenails quite often (maybe once in two weeks?). I'm just wondering, what's an ingrown toenail anyway? A nail that started growing into the skin? You can explain it to me if you want, I don't care if it's cringe worthy INTJ Introvert(56%) iNtuitive(12%) Thinking(75%) Judging(1%) You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%) You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%) You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (75%) You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)
Golurk 468 August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 Yep. Multiple times. Have two right now, as a matter of fact. I've had one surgically removed by a doctor, the rest "surgically" removed by myself. But jeez, they're persistent. Luckily, mine aren't that bad. Indeed.

Ingrown toenails the little sharp side nails that start growing into your skin. Making it hurt like hell. You can't walk sometimes, and sometimes even have to take off your whole nail to let it grow new. Yes its not pleasant to have one. I hope you never get one my good friend! Yep. Multiple times. Luckily, mine aren't that bad. ^^ I hope you take them out soon, and i hope you feel better! I have one on all toes ATM but not all bad, not in the skin yet. Idk why passed 3 days and they grew back!?!? What is up with that! 1
Lateon 589 August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 I'm not entirely sure if this was an ingrown toenail or not, but this is what happened to me in 9th grade: After biting off my right big toenail and botching it rather badly, the entire left side of the toe near the end of the nail sort of swelled up, discolored to a white color, and constantly seeped blood, pus, plasma, and other nastiness. The whole length of the nail was completely obscured on the left side. It would always be horribly irritated by gym class, and I would always see a bloodstain on my right sock when I came home and took them off. It was also kind of painful to walk on, but not unbearably so. Naturally, I did what any normal crazy 13 year old would do, and consistently peeled the swollen skin back and away from the nail. This way I would free the pus and get rid of the layers of skin covering the nail. After a time, the center of the nail had grown long enough for me to attempt to get the nail on the side out. Bit it right out, and fixed it good as new...after about 3 months. I've screwed up my big toe multiple times since then, but never as horrible as that. Sorry for the vivid descriptions! =D
Dzastur 1,719 August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 The first time I had mine surgically worked on, I got 4 shots in my toe. The anesthetic they used had expired - didn't do anything. So, they had to give me 4 more shots of "fresh" stuff: 8 total in one toe. I got over my fear of needles permanently after that day. After that, I got a regular foot doctor, and had them surgically worked on about four more times - but the right way. Cold spray, then a shot, then a quick clip, bandage, done. A great doctor. Shortly after my last treatment, he died while playing a pick-up game of basketball at age 48. The last time I got one was several years ago. 10 minutes under a cold faucet until it was numb, then clip, then bandage, all done by myself. Healed in 24 hours. Pomfritter 165 October 25, 2013 Share October 25, 2013 Whenever I start to get one, I always dig at it really intensely until it is gone. I have seen nothing but bad experiences with it so I don't want to ever get one.
Radost 76 October 25, 2013 Share October 25, 2013 I honestly think i might hold the record for the most ingrown toenails anyone has ever had ever. from when i was 12 to when i was 16 i would nonstop get them, i lost track after 20. The first few i went to a doctor for but i just learned it cut them myself, very painful, especially when you have to pull nail out the side of your toe after you cut it.
