You're basically telling us to abandon our taste and develop new ones just because that benefit other people who takes a nonsensical forum game to seriously. If someone sees a list consisting only of five Swans song and gives it a low grade, I'm not going to blame him/her for doing so. The big Grunge bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam has been posted to death in this thread (and the other rate list, post another thread), and they are ridiculously mainstream. I'll repeat it again: We do not dislike mainstream reason just because it's popular. The vast majority of mainstream music is just bubblegum music; It tastes good when chewing it, but you can't swallow it and digest it. In other words: Shallow music has a tendency to be popular, so that's the main reason why you often find us giving mainstream lists a bad rating. Everyone is entitled to opinions and different tastes, but I'm getting a real bad vibe of negativity and elitism from this thread and both your tones and choices of words. Please, I've gotten an F- for posting god tier stuff like Swans and Orchid, and then they go on and post stuff like Skillet and Three Days Grace.
