Fear of what? getting yelled at or getting in an argument? Hell I would of walked up to the guy and just started ripping his ass! I mean just because we are supposed to "Love and tolerate" doesn't mean we have to be abused in the process! Stand up for what you believe is right, there is a difference between having an opinion and just being an ass to a fandom!

Yeah but he was behind closed doors and I would had to have burst in and make a scene. Plus I'm sure he is a teacher for the college. Also it was my first day and I'm painfully shy.

It's pointless to make any sort of scene about it, especially to someone you don't know and may never know.

 

If you get up in arms about it you're really doing nothing to help yourself and there's every bit of opportunity for you to make yourself and bronies look worse. Not intentionally, of course, but a fervent hater is always going to hate and he will twist and turn everything you say against you.

 

I'm strictly against the whole love and tolerate crap but learning to pick your battles is smarter overall than anything you could say to someone who won't listen to you.

Objectivity is too much work for most people's liking so they'll just run with something so they could make up their mind and not have to consume another calorie doing any kind of serious thinking. It's a waste of time to try and reason with such people so just let them stew in their own useless hate. It'll be their fault for letting the stress of that cut their life a little shorter.

You could drive yourself nuts over what a bunch of idiots think about this this or that and it won't change what they think and just get you riled up over something you can't really do too much about anyway. Getting defensive or angry about it is only going to add more fuel to the fire, the best approach is to just let them say or think whatever and move on.

I think that the majority of non-bronies view us as weird, but not in an extremely negative light. It is likely that the majority of haters though view us very negatively.
