Raspberry cringed.  "Eee, the Everfree Forest still scares me, and I'm an adult now.  I'm glad Zecora was able to help you!  While some of the ponies in Ponyville are a little leery of her because she's different, she's always been nice to me and has helped me out when I've accidentally burned myself on the stove at home..."  She blushed a little and grinned awkwardly.  "I'm glad you'll be able to at least fly short distances once you're healed up."

"Right, Zecora, that was the name." As the mare said ponies treated her different because she was, well, differant, Vincent gave a smirk "Well, i`d be quite the hypocrite if I was leery of her, huh?" He let out a small sigh "But I know what that feels like: Griffin`s are rare in Equestria, ya know? And most ponies aren`t use to us, especially in smaller, no Pegasi towns." as she spoke of his luck, he nodded solemnly "I guess. Still, kinda sucks. My big appeal at work was that Griffin`s can fly super far deliveries with less breaks, so we delivered them faster..." suddenly he caught himself, shaking his head "Heh, whoops. Pity Train, party of one, huh?" he said, giving the mare a light smirk, quick to change the subject. "So, you getting use to this place yet? Must be quite the change from Ponyville."

"Oh, I've only been here about a week so far," Raspberry said.  "I'm glad Aunt Dreamsicle lives up over the shop, otherwise I'd probably get lost on my way to work each morning!  She's been so nice, letting me stay with her until I get enough money to get a place of my own."  She smiled a little, then continued.  "But yeah, I grew up in Ponyville, so being here in Manehattan is a big change.  This is the biggest city I've ever lived in!"  She inwardly cringed - she was pretty sure Vincent would think of her as a plain country bumpkin after that last comment...

Vincent smirked good naturedly as the mare spoke of living in the city, nodding in understanding. "Yeah, the city can be preety confuseing at times. I don`t think even i`ve seen all of it!" he said with a smile. "I`ve been all over, personally, even before moving here from the Griffin Empire. I considered settleing in some country town, but I figured I wouldn`t get enough work there... and I don`t think I could ever live in a place like Canterlot."

After a moment, Vincent got an idea "Well, since you`re still getting use to the place, maybe I can show you around the city sometime. There are-" he blinked as he heard the Stallion from before, the one that had offered to buy his ice cream and then bizzarely began to glare at him, trot on up to them. Vincent glared for a moment, angry at being inturrupted, before calming himself. "We`re kinda talking here... and didn`t she say to check with her aunt?" He said, before glancing at the clock: It was already preety late, he had to imagine the ice cream shop would be closing soon "Besides, little late for your concert or whatever."

"I can understand being worried about not enough work in a country town - Ponyville can definitely get pretty quiet at times."  She laughed when he mentioned Canterlot.  "I've never even been to Canterlot and I don't think I could live there.  Too many other ponies, too much going on... it'd be crazy!"

As Vincent was offering to show her around the city, Virvidian came up to their table, asking about setting up to play music.  "I didn't realize you wanted to do that tonight," she said, frowning a little bit.  "I haven't had the chance to ask my aunt, and it is starting to get late - if you want, you can come back tomorrow morning - my aunt's working the early shift, and you could talk to her directly if you wanted."  She grumbled to herself - it seemed like anything that could get between her and Vincent was going to happen tonight.

Sunset nodded and looked down again.

"O-okay... it shouldn't be too far from h-here..." she mumbled, and started walking, shyly motioning for the pony to follow her.

"I-I should probably tell you m-my name..." sh said, looking at the mare. "I-it's Sunset Sky..."

"I shall return tomorrow then." He said, as he was about to exit the building, then remembered to tip them.

"Almost forgot." He said, placing 4 bits on the table. then leaving to his house.

"I hope i don't get mugged like last time. That was a disaster!"

He muttered while outside the shop, and departed for his apartment.

"Oh, it`s not so much the big city, I can deal with that, but ponies there are always so snooty, especially to... non-ponies. Saw a Zebra there once. Most refused to even acknowledge him, let alone talk to him, even businesses." he said, speaking in disdain of Canterlot. He had a hard enough time there, and knew that Minotaur, and Zebras didn`t have it much better compared to Griffin`s. He`d been called a "filthy hybrid" before, due to being half lion half eagle. He tried not to let it bother him.

As the green pegasus left, Vincent set his now empty ice cram bowl aside "Well, he was... odd." before turning his head back to Raspberry. "But yeah, I mean, I`m gonna be bored outta my skull with nothing to do for awhile, I could show you around. "Yes, that was definitely... odd."  Raspberry shook her head, then looked up at Vincent.  "And to answer your question, well, I have to work the evening shift, but if you want, I'd love it if you could show me around tomorrow morning...:  She smiled, happy that he'd asked.  She enjoyed the griffin's company, and hoped they could be friends at the very least.  She hadn't seen many griffins in her life, sure, but the fact that Vincent was a griffin didn't bother her one bit.  "What time would you want to meet?  And would you mind picking me up here?  The shop'll be closed until around noon, but I can wait for you outside."

"I told you, I'm fine." She muttered with a smirk, watching him out of the corner of her vision. "Thanks... No idea what you're going to give to that date you're looking for now though."   She stretched out her wings - a lack of flying leaving them in a near constant state of discomfort. Not painful by any means, just uncomfortable. "I just need five to stretch out and chill, thats all."

He smiled in defeat. He understood that she was trying to mess with him, but he felt nothing but unsuccessful. He sat down on the bed, a slight frown growing across his face, and a sigh leaving his beak. "Stretch then...I dunno what happened to my date. She's looking pretty bummed out." He grinned a little.

@@scooterlou,

Vincent gave her a small smile as she agreed to go around the city, Vincent making a small checklist of things to show her around Manehatten. He had to change his plans when he remembered that, at the moment atleast, neither of them could fly so they`d have to walk. That didn`t matter, there were alot of smaller sites one would miss if they took a cab or something, or flew over, it just meant he had to rethink how long it would take. "Tommarrow morning sounds great. How about 8:30?" he said, thinking that would give him enough time to show her a few good sights before they had to split. "And yeah, I can meet ya here... are ya gonna eat breakfast here, or would you rather we found a place for a late brunch of something before the tour?"

Vincent smiled happily as the mare seemed truly excited. Well, it`ll be nice to hang out with a mare that`s not trying to rob me, or is fresh out of some metal institution he mused to himself. "Got it, tommarrow morning,, 8:30. Man, i`m preety excited myself. I`ve never gotten to show someone around the city like this." he said with a chuckle. He noticed the mare was blushing, causeing him to smirk. She was preety cute like that, with the glasses and everything... for a mare anyway. He started making a mental map of where they could go, both for brunch and for sight seeing. There were plenty of resturants, but he wanted to think of one that served good herbivore food  for Raspberry, but also somewhere that didn`t shy away from selling synthetic meat that didn`t taste horrid.

"Hopefully wherever we go for brunch has coffee..." Raspberry said. She wasn't much of a morning pony, and she didn't quite want to grumble her way through part of her morning before she fully woke up and was her normal cheery self. She let out a little giggle, unable to keep it inside. "I'm so excited!" She wondered where he might take her, what sorts of exciting things she might get to see tomorrow.

'You're not making this any easier for yourself...'

Symphony winced: partly at how correct the voice in her head was, partly at the feeling of the ache being stretched to its maximum as she lay back and flared her wings. Making certain to recover the few blackened feathers that fell from them, she sat up again and shook her head, as if trying to cure herself of some kind of dizziness. When she had finished, the doubts had been pushed aside and her face was back to its usual smirk.

"Think I hit the ground a little heard earlier is all. So, whats this about you're date looking... how did you put it again..." She asked with a mock disapproving expression. "...'Bummed out'?"

Good coffee. He had to cross a few more places off of his mental checklist now. "Coffee? Got it, I know a few places... still, seeing how much energy you have now, better make sure you don`t have too much caffeine."  As the mare said she was excited, Vincent let out a chuckle. "Yeah, me too. Be nice to have someone to hang out with rather than just wandering around having a pity party. But anyway..." he said, moving to get out from the booth. She let out a little sigh as Vincent got out of the booth - no longer distracted by conversation, she realized exactly how tired she was. She sat there in the booth for a little bit, listening to customers chat with each other, to Aunt Dreamsicle ring up customers, and closed her eyes for a bit. She would definitely sleep well tonight, that's for sure.

(OOC: oh dear, sorry for the late reply...)

After the stallion left the line, she turned to the tall pegasus that was next in line and took her order.  "We do have waffles - we make them fresh!  Which means it might be a little bit of a wait, if that's okay?"  Raspberry was enjoying the sudden rush of customers in the shop - this was better than the past couple of afternoons, where she pretty much just washed tables and sang to herself.  She shook her head a little, pulling herself out of her thoughts, and looked back up at the pegasus. "I do have some frozen that I can heat in a hurry, if you're in a rush - the frozen ones were made this morning, so they're still pretty fresh."  Raspberry smiled, happy for the flurry of activity in Two Scoops.

"Oh, yes! I'll take any waffles, doesn't matter if I have to wait for a while or an hour," Autumn Glow nodded her head excitedly. For some reason she was starving for any solid food. AS she waited for her order, the griffon questioned what's wrong with him eating an ice cream. Autumn Glow found herself unable to answer, she only smiled apologetically as other costumer explained that griffon was indeed an unusual sight around this part. The conversation continued around her, and Autumn Glow watched as the griffon left the place. She sighed. "I just made a fool of myself, didn't I?"

Once Vincent had left, he considered what to do. It was preety late, and he had plans for the morning, but... he supposed he could try and stay awake abit longer. He had quite a walk ahead of him before he got home. Might as well wander for abit, enjoy the cool night air. He use to love flying at night. He had finally finished making a mental checklist of where to go, and decided on the place for brunch. It was a small restaurant, based on one of those old diners from a few decades back. He recalled them having acceptable coffee, good breakfast, and making an EXCELLENT synthetic bacon.

Percy spaced out for a moment. He thought he should probably stop making himself look so down, and foolish to the mare. "Maybe...a compliment to her? That might brighten the mood a bit...it'd make me feel better, anyway."  He cleared his throat, and nervously, said "Y'know...you're cute when you dance." He said, thinking back to earlier in the club. "Perhaps that was too much..." But he kept going, "And I mean...when you actually dance...y'know, the gala-type dances? "Heh... thanks. It's, uh, just something I picked up I guess." The sneer broke, giving way to a softer, slightly embarrassed smile as she remembered her complete ineptitude at the club.

"I'll show you again sometime, if you like." She felt the crimson trying to creep up onto her face.

Decidedly not quite the same reason she learned in the first place: it was hardly likely to help her steal any jewels but still, maybe there were other reasons to dance after all.

"When did you turn all sweet and stuff anyway, tough guy?" She chided the griffin with a poke to the chest.

Can't have myself stuck in a loop... Gotta leave the ice cream booth now, sorry :c

Autumn Glow didn't spare any second and wolfed down the waffles as soon as Raspberry was finished. "Oh Celestia this is good...!" The chocolate ice cream taste so right in her mouth. Briefly she forgot about her fangs and nearly bit into her own lips. She winced. "Ouch... I guess I gotta go now. See you later, Strawberry girl!" She put down the bits along with a generous tip and flew away from the booth.

The day was closing, and the night sky slowly pushed the sun away. Autumn Glow sighed, her wings lazily carried her over the city line. The sunset was reminding her too much about somepony. She was contemplating going back to Cloudsdale tomorrow when she saw the griffon from earlier. She banked downward and followed the griffon, maybe an apology would be in order.

@@TheLineTrotter,

Once inside, Autumn Glow gingerly approached the griffon. She cleared her throat. "Uh, sorry for my awful remark from earlier. I didn't mean to say anything, it's just that I never really see any of your kind around here, and it's kind of surprising to see you eating ice cream." She grinned rather awkwardly and offered a hoof to the griffon. "Friends?"
