Because real life is boring and incredibly... REAL. That's why we spend so much time creating fictional creations and deities. You believed in Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter bunny at once point...why would you believe in further nonsense once you grow up just cause the names change? It's a fun distraction but don't take it as real.

At some point in our lives we believed in things that our parents told us to believe until, we became older and learned the ugly truth that not everything is real. I don't believe in paranormal stuff unless they are real, which is a possibility that might not become true.

I can't believe you guys don't believe in ghosts. There is a massive amount of proof. Actually, when my mom was a kid in the middle of the night she saw a ghostly looking man walk by in the hallway.

 

I also believe in aliens. I don't believe in mermaids or fairies or anything like that, but aliens are very realisic. Once in our backyard my sister saw a blobby looking figure. It had no nose and its arms were sticking strait out, it was staring up at the window. She also saw things going over our house that looked like UFO's. You could say that she was just seeing things or she was lieing, but she was awake already and she ran into my mom's room scared. She was not lieing.

 

I guess people don't believe it because the people who see them they can't believe, but I know they were telling the truth. How do you explain Ouga boards?

Because Video cameras are EVERYWHERE. Most every cellphone can take video. There is no excuse not to take clear, unblurry photos of paranormal stuff.

 

That said, CG make fakery way to easy. The downside with all the fakes is, who will believe the real stuff if it ever does show up?

It depends on what you call paranormal stuff. It is your choice to believe in it or not. 

But usually, 'paranormal' stuff happens when you don't expect it. Thus, it is hard to catch on a video. Second thing is, if you really do meet something paranormal, you usually keep it to yourself. That's because, if you are too assertive about it people will find it annoying and won't believe it. It's just the kind of stuff that most people won't believe unless they see it themselves. 

Btw, most paranormal stuff are not seen, but felt or sensed.
