"I'll follow, Mr. Light, Sir." And she ran after him, catching up and pacing with him.

"So, what are they like? Your friends, I mean... And, um, I'm just curious, but... What are we even doing here, how did we get here?"

She asked, checking the sky again for any changes or warnings. Nothing.

"My friends are great and trustworthy people. Silver and I just met, and Blast and I have been around ever since we came to Equestria from Earth. And as for what we are doing here, I have not a clue. One second I was fighting for my life, the next I was in Everfree. And why? Probably because we are the only ones strong enough to save time." Said Light.

"Me? Strong? Save Time? I'm a War veteran, me. I don't think I'm strong enough to take on men like I did before. I believe I've lost the will to fight... But... I'll try and find it again, Sir. I won't give up." She walked on a little, "Silver and Blast sound like good men. Oh, I hope we don't lose anybody in this fight." Again, she glanced at the sky.

"Sadly, we've lost Blaze. He died of a poison wound." Said Light as tears began to form. "But we will not die tonight. We will stand and fight forever. And If I know Silver and Blast, they have a way of avoiding death. And me, well, I have a way of cheating death."

"We lost a soldier, sir?" She asked, frowning.

"I'm sorry for your loss."

Then she laughed a quiet laugh, "I hope you can live to that, sir. Wouldn't want you dying on us, now would we? And cheating's better than going with the flow and falling, right?" She smiled slightly, "So, where are we headed?"

"We're hoarding to Storma, where Blast and Silver are. And who knows, Manechilles may finally have seen the light and turned to be good. But our fist order of business is stopping Zycrin, then we stop Darkspine and save time!" Light said with confidence.

Skylight let that sink in, and they walked for around a minute or three.

Then, after a quick glance to the sky, she said, "And then what, sir? No-one, and I repeat No-one comes out of war un-scathed. The winds are changing again, sir, and they don't know where to go. I have a bad feeling about this. I also think that to get Zycrin, we need to think like him."

"We may not be unscathed, but if we succeed, this will have never happened, and we would return to our normal lives. And I think like Zycrin, because I know him from sometime in my past." Light said. "I just don't know from when... Or how... Or why..." Said Light

She thought for a moment, "I dunno. I think I may have heard the name Zycin before, but  that could have been anything right?"

She glanced at the sky.

"Get down!" She shouted, dragging him into a bush to the side as the spot they were just in erupted outwards, spraying them with dirt.

"My Celestia! What happened?!" Cried Light as he saw the boom. "Are you some sort of magic pony or one of my kind?" Asked Light with utter curiosity. "Are you one of my people: the time ponies?" He asked Skylight, hoping that she was, because there was only three time ponies left to his memory.

"This is Skylight. She seems to be a time pony like me, but I'm not sure." Said Light. "She saved my life, and I figure she will be a good ally, seeing that she has the words 'hero' and 'time' on her arms, as well." Said Light in a serious tone. "She can read the clouds."

"Nice to meet you, Skylight" Blast shook Skylight's hoof. "Looks like you're stuck with me and Light, huh?" He snickered, noticing the two were hiding in a bush. "What are you guys hiding from? There isn't a soldier in sight, not after two-thirds of them disappeared and I took out the rest."

Manechilles had much time to ponder...and it reminded him who he was: Commander Manechilles of the Storma Pegasi. He was fortunate that Light had brought back his people and now...his honor was restored as far as his people knew. He could once again lead Storma and restore it to its former glory...and more. Now that his only adversary was wiped from existence, his plan could now go into effect. Manechilles grinned at his cunning. Light was indeed a powerful pegasus and as he found, was fortunately able to bring back his kin. "Now it shall begin." While the others had deterred their attention, Manechilles' plan had already began. The council was taken captive as ordered and now he  could restore Storma's legacy as an empire. None would match his strength, including Darkspines' men. 

Suddenly, the skies began to whirl and the beat of a thousand drums began to get louder and louder throughout the land. What looked like an enormous dark cloud was innumerable Storma pegasi warriors...the best the now empire had to offer. They never once questioned their hero and emperor Manechilles as they looked upon the fearful onlookers.

"You fools! I swore that the land would be mine and thus it shall be. Your guard has dropped and both of you, Darkspine and Light have no power against the mighty Storma Pegasi!" the traitorous stallion boasted. Manechilles turned to his pegasi army. "Now my brothers, unleash hell and destroy all those who raise their head in defiance. Give them no mercy and leave none alive!" The stallion pointed at Light then at Darkspine, "Their heads shall be upon the gates of mighty Storma!" The army of the pegasi known as Maries' Dread roared and shouted as the drums beat harder and faster. They licked their lips at the foe who cowered in their aura. Manechilles looked upon Light, "Thank you kinsmen! You shall always be remembered as the one who allowed us to conquer Equestria!" He then looked to Zycrin, "Choose your side wisely earth ridden. The Empire could use you skills and you shall recieve your riches that you always desire."

Blast just folded his arms and smacked Light across the head. "Nice work, Light." Blast ran across the land until he came across Manechilles. "You'll have absolutely no authority over me, Manechilles." He smirked. "You may be powerful, but you still weren't able to defeat me. You didn't finish the job. Instead, you turned tail and ran away."

""This is your battle. Do it as you wish." Said Light nodding. "You stop him, I'll stop Darkspine and restore the timeline." Said Light as he dashed off toward the dark tower. "Alright Darkspine. It's time for a little one-on-one." Said Light grinning as he pulled out the blade of time. This would be fun.

Manechilles smiled at the earth ridden, "Courage is in your nature Blast, yet it would prove useless if you were to face me and the mighty Storma army. I did not flee as you claim. I merely spared your head. If you wish for me to have it than wait no longer." He smiled evilly, "it will be nice to demonstrate to Equestria what Storma does to the earth ridden kind." Immediately, Manechilles dropped in front of Blast and drew his halberd. He nodded to his army that formed a flying phalanx formation and flew slowly towards Darkspine's army and Light, moving past Manechilles and Blast.

Blast watched the Storma army go. He then got into a fighting position "I'm not just any normal earth pony. I'm the fastest earth pony around." Blast began to run around Manechilles in a red blur. The dust and dirt around him began to rise above the pegasus. He was attempting to pull of a tornado.

Light fought his way to the base of the tower. Using all his strength, he flew up until he reached the top. There lied Darkspine, smirking."heh, Light. I thought you would come to face me." Said Darkspine.

"Well, I am and you will be destroyed for good! I stopped you once, and I'll do it again!" Shouted Light slamming Darkspine against a wall. When suddenly Light heard a sound. A cracking sound. Light looked as he saw the sky break. "No...no... Impossible!" Cried Light as he was slammed by Darkspine. "Ha! You didn't think you would win, did you?" Laughed Darkspine. "You gave me all the time I needed to break time and unleash my empire! Face it, you've LOST!" Shouted Darkspine. Light could feel his life leaving him. (I could regenerate- oh, no...) Light thought as he remembered that he already regenerated. "You- you- you had no reason..." Light said, falling to the floor. "I didn't need a reason, other than to make it easier to WIPE YOU AND BLAST FROM EXISTANCE!" Darkspine said with a laugh. Light looked at his arm as he saw it disappear right before him. It was the end of time, and the end of him. "And while I'm at it, why don't I end Zycrin, Manechilles, Skylight, AND Silver?!" Darkspine said. Light knew he was fading, but he wasn't gonna die. Not now.

As Skylight looked up, she saw her beloved sky cracking, breaking. A humongous rage grew in her heart and fire danced in her eyes.

"Oh Hell No!" She screamed, reading the sky and finding out that to save the sky, she had to help fight. This rage fuelled her will to fight.

She was back.

Then she was unbalanced by her left arm, the Time one was missing. However, the Hero one was just fine, in fact, it looked a little deeper.

 Sheesh.

 

Skylight ran in the direction she saw Light run in, and Heard Darkspine's words. She thought quickly. She couldn't fix the sky, right? Only influence it. She was a weather pony, and if she wanted lightning, Darkspine would get struck.

As the cyclone began to develop around Manechilles, the stallion flexed his wings with experience. He had been trained in storm survival since he was a filly. The dust began to smack across his face but his head was lowered and his eyes closed...then with a sudden jolt Manechilles shot with his halberd towards one of the sides of the circle coming into full contact with Blast through his halberd.

Blast just barely dodged the halberd, as his left a few cuts in his side. Blast ceased running and the dirt returned to ground level. He got himself recovered a ran to Manechilles. The two stallions then butted heads as tried to overpower one-another. "You might have weapons, but they aren't going to help you, since I can simply dodge out of your range with ease!"

"Dodge? Yes you must. It will allow you friend Light a few more minutes of life!" Manechilles yelled as he slammed his thick skull against Blast harder. "Honor to you for so willingly facing one who is bred for nothing but battle. If you wish to defeat me, you best have as many lives as a cat!" Suddenly, the stallion used the butt of the halberd to separate them both before swing the blade down in return to put more space between them. 

All the while, the massive Storma army was now closing in on the tower where Light and Darkspine dueled.

Skylight Crouched.

 

"This is it." She said, summoning the skies with her horn.

It's not as badass as it seemed.

She was one of the Time Ponies, and she would not let this Darkspine fella steal her precious time away.

 

Skylight charged in on Darkspine, her horn sparking.

The skies gave her strength.

Blast and Manechilles were about ten feet away from each other, staring down at one another for a brief moment. "Experience also plays a great factor in fighting, Manechilles." He dashed up and kicked him in the air with one of his hind hooves, not really causing too much damage, but it leaves an impact. "It helps me figure my opponents out."

Darkspine swatted Skylight away. You didn't REALLY think that I forgot you, did you? Ha! The skies can't save you now! I control the timeline, and I will rip your very being out of existence!" Said Darkspine in an overly confident tone. "And YOU didn't think of my backup plan, did you?" Said Light with a grin. Suddenly, the sword of time formed in Light's hoof, glowing yellow with energy. Light ran forward and sliced the air as the fabric of time itself opened. "Darkspine, lets end this. Now." Said Light. "Oh, we will. And it will be with your demise!" Shouted Darkspine, rearing for battle.
