I am digging up an old post, and it feels like someone tried to use Google Translate and failed miserably

It would kind of make sense for Rainbow to be called Raduga, however its looks like they gave up half way through, so why not just translate fully Dash in this case is used as verb that describes sudden acceleration of the object. I am sure they would of thought odf something creative then leave it as that

Sumerechnaya Iskorka is kind of wrong too, while yes Sparkle translates as Iskorka it also could be translated as Siyanie, Blesk, Sverkanie

Yeah she is right, but the thing is that it's not "who + hooves" in hts Russian name but "who + hoof" and that whoud be "Kto + Kopito", so that's the answer :)

It has been my experience (mostly from reading translated Sci Fi) that song lyrics, poetry. puns, figures-of-speech, slang, etc. usually don't translate really well. A VERY great deal depends on the translator.   That was mostly before computer translation was available.  Over at Fimfiction, you get some foreign stuff & IMO some programs are better than others. (Of course, based on the stuff allegedly written in English, in some cases it might be unfair to blame the translation program for ALL the problems)
