The True Artistic Side of me. Using New Style+Critique?

Guys, it is time, I show you the true side of me. The True Artistic side of me.

I draw better on the computer, I just never knew.

The drawing took 25-35 Minutes.

I am using my new style for the picture

Well. The actual pony is very well drawn! But ive gotta give a minus on the face. No offence but, it looks like he ran into wall!

Yeah, I have to agree with frozen on this one!

 

A+ for effort though. 

 

Make his snout come out more. If your looking to draw traditional ponies then make a circle for the face then a little one outside the main to forum the nose. Try using this as a template.

Hmmm...the true side of you needs some work, I'm afraid.

 

First of all, that face...yikes....it looks like you wanted to do a profile view but didn't quite know how to pull it off. The ears look like fox ears, come to think of it the tail does too....also...where is the CM? Is he a blank flank? It looks like a full grown pony, so....

 

Yeah...practice makes perfect, that's all I can say.

I loved the ears. Just because this is a pony site doesn't mean it has to be a pony! Nice try though. Im assuming you used Microsoft paint to do this. That's fine and all but if you want to get something better, there is a lot of free Vector programs out there. Vectors are nice to draw ponies with because a Vector art consists of lines and curves (like a pony does). How ever you don't want a vector program if you want to do art like this:

 

 

 

For something like that you would want to use a program called photoshop but that costs a heck of a lot of money and unless you cheat the system (which I am not recommending) your probably going to want an alternative like Gimp. However I hate everything about Gimp. Its basically a knock off of photoshop and although its free, its user interface makes me want to smash a board on my head. Also if you want to throw like $50 in to the equation, you'll want to get a tablet. A tablet as in a bamboo tablet and not an I-Pad. Google it if your confused.

Actually, I used Pixlr.Com to use this. It is like Photoshop, but free, and no download.

I just didn't want anything fancy to do with the photo

A vector program, eh? I will think about it

I also have a tablet, but I draw better using a mouse
