naw, I have a standard. Sometimes guitars are just put together...right, that's what mine's like. Honestly, if you hooked it up to a Marshal stack and distorted it, you couldn't tell the difference between it and a Gibson.

I've owned this guitar for a good year or two now, and I haven't really got around to using it yet. Reading this thread has reminded me that it's just sitting there collecting dust. I really should get around to practicing with it.

A couple days ago I braved the crowds at Guitar Center to get my S7420's whammy fixed.  For whatever reason, when Ibanez first started to pair the Floyd Rose 2 bridge with their 7-string models back in 2010, they didn't do much quality assurance on the compatibility of some of the parts.  Long story short, I had removed the whammy in order to transport it more safely, and found that it wouldn't go back together.  Fortunately, the technician at my local Guitar Center just so happens to have worked on the Ibanez assembly line a couple years ago, so he figured out what had happened.  I'm glad he was able to fix it fairly easily, though...I wasn't particularly keen on having to replace the entire bridge (it's like a third of the cost of the entire guitar).

Yeahh, I haven't been able to get into my closet very easily for a few weeks.

 

It's a Washburn Lyon that was my dad's before it was mine; I tune it in drop-D, and I wrote "The Fire Still Burns: R.I.P. Eddie Nelson Barrett Jr. 1969-2007" in sharpie on the pickguard. 

 

My amp is a Piece of shit. It was a hand-me-down I got from a dude who was working on renovating our bathroom, after we jammed a couple of times together and I didn't have one, because no money.

 

No effects or none of that

 

I've also got a horrible habit of setting things on my amp, especially my Pepsi's.

@ghostfacekiller39 You may want to try guitar rig if You don't like that amp. It's a program for PC and I use it pretty often. You can get pretty decent sound from it and it does not really require any good sound card to operate smoothly, at least on my PC

A Epiphone Les Paul Standard and can you tell I like the ebony finish? Classy imo.

From left to right: Washburn Lyon (starter), recently defretted; 6-string Ibanez Soundgear GiO (main); acoustic Dean (no specific model name to my knowledge).

 

 

My very festive 7-string Dean Vendetta.

 

 

5-string Steinberger Spirit. No actual pic since my luthier friend is currently working on it.

 

 

My P.O.S. Crate amp. Has a decent frequency response, but the input jack is screwed up so that the cable has to be sitting in a specific position, else it'll buzz loudly.

 

 

Boss ME-50B bass FX pedal. Makes decent distortion to use with my 7-string.

Sounds like you're referring to the inlay on the 12th fret of @'s Schecter.  If a guitar isn't especially high-quality, they can definitely get in the way, especially if you do a lot of bends.  I could take it or leave it for the most part.  My bass has a skull and crossbones inlay at the 12th, but it only affects the A and D strings, which I don't generally play that far down the neck.

You meant the Pickguard? Personally, I love how the Pickguard looks. Some Finishes look better without it, some look better with it...

Yes, pickguard, thanks! To be honest I don't like pickguards, overall I never enjoyed Les Paul's look. I prefer ESP Eclipse, it's slightly different, but somehow I like it more

Matter of taste, sorry I was always fan of guitars like for example Ibanez JEM. Even when playing Les Paul was... uncomfortable to me, sorry
