So, Chipotle just released a very interesting commercial a few days ago. Check it out:

 

 

What do you guys think of this? Personally, I find it kinda moving and sad. I just want to hear your reactions to it, too.

A pretty sad commercial. I didn't expect a restaurant to make a very sad yet moving commercial, but still impressed by the animation.

On one hand, it comes off as pretentious and manipulative at times, and the fact that it's a commercial kind of sullies it a bit for me. But on the other hand, there's no denying that it's well made, effective as a commercial, and memorable. Plus Fiona Apples is awesome. So A for effort and everything.

 

Qdoba Grill is better, though.

Well, all I gotta say is that the animation is pretty impressive.

 

Other than that, I really got nothing to say on this one besides the animation.

It's a very well animated piece accompanied by a beautiful rendition of Pure Imagination. However, I'm rather confused about the message. It's nice that a big food chain is taking a stand against factory farming but the commercial made it seem as if they're going for a full no-meat policy, which I know for a fact that they're not. For the sake of balance and realism they should have included a montage where the scarecrow bonds with a calf, raises it to adulthood and then murders it with an ax while shedding copious straw tears. Would have gone great with the song.

 

Also, Chipotle's food sucks. Their burritos always fall apart on me and every time I eat there I end up with an upset stomach.
