Neon looked around at everypony and noticed she didn't see Red 'Where is he?' She thought. She sighed and shook her head 'It doesn't matter where he is...' Neon looked around, she was debating on going up and dancing or talking with one of her friends. But before she could decide she felt a light cold drop on her ear "What was that?" she felt another drop on her nose this time, she held out her hoof and let some of the snow drop on it "Is this...snow? It doesn't snow during this time of year...Does it?" Neon started to shiver a bit as the temperature dropped

Clover shivered in the sudden chill. Her party dress was thin, and she hadn't brought a coat cuz of the fairly mild temperatures that autumn. She walked up to @@Steel Accord, who, as a pegasus, might have some insight on the weather situation.

 

"Steel, what's going on?" she asked him, fearfully as a memory struck her. Clover remembered the story of Heartwarming Eve, of the Windigoes who had brought cold weather with them. But it couldn't be them, surely?

"I don't know." He said simply, looking into the air, dumbfounded. "The weather teams never make it snow this early. This isn't natural." He looked to his friends.

 

"Clover, North . . . I think we need to get out of here." Steel's tone was quiet and firm, that same tone he used to get when giving tactical instructions on their previous adventure.

Feeling the snow beginning to fall onto his head, his eyes widened a bit as well as his ears beginning to perk up a little more than usual. He almost seemed a little happy and refreshed as the temperature dropped, but as he begun looking around, noticing everypony's reaction to it all, his look changed into one of wonder.

 

"You do not have snow at this time down here... Right?" he spoke, before he looked to Steel as he spoke. "I guess we should..."

"Get out of here? Where would you guys go? And how would we explain it to everypony without making them panic?" Red asked Steel. "Perhaps we could try and say that we purposely scheduled the weather team to create snowy weather for Sterling and Evening?"

Sterling and Evening were getting concerned. They felt the snow accumulating and they also felt a growing shiver on their bodies. 

 

"Evie... we should probably meet up with the others right now... This... is... really... cold..." Sterling spoke with a shiver. Evening was struggling to respond, but she did, albeit weakly,

 

"Sterling... let's go... I'm cold... Sterling then moved closer to her and gave her the warmest hug he could give in the growing cold. They trotted briskly and quickly in search of their friends, worried that they were suffering too...

@@Steel Accord, "Yes, we should," Clover replied, fearfully. "I have a very very bad feeling about this... we should leave now, while we still can. Just let us make sure that everypony is together, then we go. I can make a warming spell once we're clear, but I think that we really need to find out what's going on."

"A rogue snowstorm?!" Red exclaimed. He heard the story of the Windigoes, but they feed on hatred, not love, ruling out that thought.

"Is there any lead on what's causing it?" Red asked in a very worried tone. If it wasn't Windigoes, then what could it be? Not knowing what it was is surely more frightening to Red than knowing what was causing the storm.

While Sterling and Evening were searching for their friends, they heard a familiar voice over the loudspeaker... It was DJ! And he was warning them about an impending rogue storm! Sterling knew it! As soon as Luna left, he knew something would go amiss, and he was right! 

 

"Evie! We've got to find shelter now! Looks like that stage will do wonders! Come on!" Sterling motioned urgently. He didn't want Evening hurt. Especially not on wedding.day! He and Evening trotted quickly underneath the stage, only to see DJ and Vinyl hiding there too!

 

"DJ! What's up with this storm?!" Sterling cried out with fear.

@@Steel Accord, Clover nodded and followed Steel behind the stage. "I wonder," she said, "Could it be Windigoes? Like in the story they tell at Heartwarming Eve. But they feed on hatred, not love, or at least that's what it says in my book. But this kind of weather is exactly the same."

Neon got up to go behind the stage. After a couple steps she turned back and grabbed her cider "Well, don't want this going to wast" She grabbed the cider then walked over to the back of the stage, shivering a bit as she went. She got there then lookee around "Anypony know what the hay is going on here?"

"@Everypony!" DJ shouted to his friends. "I just got word from Princess Luna. This is far more than a rogue snowstorm. Something in the Frozen North is causing the cold too spread south. All of Equestria will be frozen in a matter of hours." He let that sink in for a moment.

 

"We have to get the ship. Princess Luna didn't ask anything of us, but I know we can stop this together."

Clover said, "If we can stop it, then it's clearly our duty to do so. I will ask my friend Morning Glory to look after my shop, and I will do everything in my power to find out exactly what's going on, and how to stop it."

 

Shivering in the cold, Clover decided to cast the warming spell on the small group behind the stage. The temperature rose in the small space only; Clover decided it was best to do this cuz it would be far easier to plan if they weren't all freezing cold. She also made a mental note to pack tons of warm clothing for the trip.

"The Frozen North... Spreading? I wonder why... I would not mind the cold too much - that be an improvement for me... But I guess it will be bad for most of ye others further south..." he said with a sigh, taking a few steps away as Clover cast her spell.

 

"I will help too..." he spoke, as he sat down looking up at the others.

Neon looked at DJ "The ship? You mean...That old ship that brought us on those amazing yet dangerous adventures where we could of died?" She sighed "Alright, been a long time since i was on a crazy adventure with you guys...Not to be a downer but, how are we supposed to stop whatever this is?" Neon said then thought about something else "And where are you even keeping that ship?"

Sterling was underneath the stage when everything was unfolding. He could hear that DJ wanted all of his friends to journey back to the ship to begin yet another adventure. Sterling knew he couldn't abandon his friends, but at the same time, he couldn't possibly let his Evie go on yet another adventure so soon... Sterling looked at Evening with a sad look and spoke,

 

"Evie... DJ wants us to head over to the ship and see what's causing all the snow... It could be evil forces that lurk at the North. Evie... are you ready to go on another adventure? I'm just worried that you aren't."

 

With that, Evening looked up at Sterling. She saw his sad face, but was confused as to why he was sad. If anything, he should be happy... Evening gave her newly wed a warm kiss on his cheek. She then replied with a weak smile,

 

"Sterling... why are you sad? I'd love to come on another adventure. Maybe I could find the garden that I had lost so much long ago... And I know for sure that you'll be there to enjoy it with me Sterling. Let's go." Sterling looked at Evening with confusion. She wanted to go on another adventure? After all that happened with Raven? Sterling could only gasp in reply... 

 

Evening then pulled Sterling by his front hoof as they ran towards the harbor where their majestic ship rested...

(Cue music)

 

Red Talon raised his head upon hearing that they were needed once again to go on yet another odyssey, this time, for even graver matters.

"If Equestria will freeze over soon," Red said, "Count me in. I'm not gonna sit and freeze my ass off for the rest of eternity! Nor will I let my country!"

He stood up, no longer in his angsty form from losing Neon's love. Rather, he was invigorated by a sense of duty.

"When will we depart?" Red asked.

"We can't just up and go now," Clover said. "We need to get some supplies on the ship, as well as warm clothing and other emergency stuff. We were unprepared last time, this time it will be different. We should go back to our homes and collect such things, and then all meet up at the harbour."

"I'm not commanding you guys, but I'm going whether you're with me or not. I . . . could sure use your help though." DJ said thoughtfully.

 

"I'm with you Captain." Steel interrupted. "All the way." He saluted.

 

DJ nodded with a smirk.

 

"Clover's right though.  Take your time to gather supplies and say your good byes. Meet me at the harbor on the Troston River in two hours if you are coming." DJ lifted into the air. "My friends . . . . Until we meet again."

Sterling and Evening arrived at the boat. They noticed that no pony was there... Evening began to wonder why Sterling brought her all the way to the ship only to see nopony there... However, she just gave out a light chuckle to lighten the mood.

 

"Sterling... how do you expect us to go on a journey if we haven't even gotten supplies for the trip yet?" Sterling then blushed, realizing that his eagerness took a hold of him again. Why didn't he go back to his apartment to get supplies first? Sterling scolded himself inwardly before giving out a sheepish chuckle. 

 

"Well I guess we're going back to our apartment to get some supplies first! We'll come back to the ship once we're ready! C'mon!" Sterling replied with a wave before they rushed back to their nearby apartment to get everything ready...

Sitting there listening, he watched as everypony left to gather what they needed for that trip.

 

"Well, I guess I should prepare as well..." he said, before running over to and up the trunk of a tree, disappearing in among the leaves remaining. Only a few minutes later, he fell back down from the tree - free of his tuxedo, and with a pair of small saddlebags hanging onto him.

 

"Now that I am done with preparing..." he begun looking around. "...I have nothing left to do..." he continued, before heading for wherever he thought the ship might be located...

Clover went back to her house right away. She used her magic to pack warm clothes, spell books and also some bags of food. Well, by the time she got back, the food in her house would be spoiled anyway, so she might as well bring it all with her. She loaded it all into a small cart which she could push with her magic to the harbour. Before leaving for the harbour, Clover went next door to her friend Morning Glory's house to ask her to keep an eye on the shop.

 

"Going on another adventure?" Morning Glory asked, with a smile.

 

"Well, sort of, yes," Clover admitted.

 

"Have fun then, and I do hope that you can do something about this awful weather!" Morning Glory said, waving a hoof goodbye as her friend left. Clover went straight to the harbour to wait for the others, now wrapped up warmly. She still shivered tho, at the wrongness of it all.

"Alright!" Red shouted enthusiastically, "I'll dash back to Ponyville, pack some things, and meet you guys at the boat!"

Red trotted outside of the stage, fired up his wings, and dashed back to Ponyville. Arriving roughly a half an hour later, he trotted back to his house, and began packing things into a knapsack. He packed all sorts of things, from basic items, warm clothing, but stopped cold upon seeing the picture of him and Neon on his desk. It was taken upon the group's arrival back in Equestria, with Red and his then marefriend smiling as the sun set behind them. His eyes began to tear up at the picture, wishfully thinking of all the wonderful times they still could have had.

I still love you... His tear-ridden voice said to himself. Why did it have to end like this? You gave me something to live for... I gave you something to live for... but now... it's all gone...

He picked up the picture, removed it from its frame, and placed it inside of his knapsack.

I can't just let go of you, now... It's... more than I can do...

Before dashing back to Manehattan, he suddenly remembered: Sweet Apple Acres! How could the farm possibly survive during this impending snowstorm? With that on his mind, he figured he would head down there and let Applejack know what he was up to. She was his friend ever since they were foals, anyway. And besides, it might end up being the last time he would see her again. He quickly made his way up to the large, red barn, and knocked on the door.

It took quite some time, but they were able to gather all of their supplies for the trip. Sterling and Evening changed to their adventure clothes before saying what might have been their last farewell to their apartment home. After looking at their apartment silently, Sterling gave Evening a warm hug before walking back to their ship. Sterling carried his herbs and first aid kits, while Evening gathered food and drink for their journey. Throughout that walk, both of them could only imagine what could have caused the rogue storm to appear... ------------

 

Applejack was already back at her barn by the time she inspected the farm. She couldn't do anything about the growing storm that was ruining her crops. She gathered as many apples as she could to prevent them from rotting underneath the gathering snow. After placing all her apples down, she heard a knock on the door. Who could it be? Applejack wondered as she trotted cautiously to the door. When she looked through the window, she could see a familiar face... She opened the door slowly and spoke with urgency,

 

"Red! Come in quickly!"
