Camou walks up to the gazebo in Ponyville. His mane straightened out and his scarf tucked on him tight. He sits in the gazebo and waits for his date. Well there his mind starts to ponder.
 
"All right waiting for the date. I wonder how she'll be? I hope I can relate to her and not have to do another sport or something?"

Swinging Breeze was flying around Ponyville happily, when he remembered he had the blind date coming up. "Oh crap! I'm gonna be late!" He exclaimed, flying full speed towards where he was supposed to go. He hit the ground and rolled a little bit before getting there but he made it. "Here I am!" He said happily, ignoring the pain of the crash. I hope I'm not late. He thought.

He didn't like the fact that the mare worried so much about one little thing, but he didn't say anything about it. I suppose it was a pretty bad crash... BUT IT WAS SO BUCKING AWESOME! He thought.

Okay, just don't ask for my name or anything... Swinging thought. He wasn't liking the mare too much, but he did have to remember she was acting the same way he used to. She may just be shy or something, but still... He thought. He stopped, not knowing how to finish his thought.

Chain Mail was walking down. He saw that he was supposed to be meeting a mare here at some gazebo, and that was all he knew. He didn't know that she was a soldier herself, but since he had 1 set of formal clothes, and those were his military dress clothes. On the right side of his chest he had the few medals from the one war that he'd been in against the militant changelings. He had a Good Conduct Medal, A Golden Sword Medal, and a few other badges pertaining to sword fighting (including the bronze and silver sword) and common awards. On his left chest was his name plate and space for more badges.
And so, he waited outside the place the two of them were supposed to meet.

Swinging hadn't thought about it right away, but after a minute he realized something. By the looks of it, his blind date was Shinx. Oh... This is kinda... Awkward. He thought nervously, blushing a little. He walked over to her and said, "I um... I think you're my blind date." He was suddenly nervous, which might have made him seem a bit strange seeing as he was so happy a minute ago.

"Oh yeah, I never got to tell you my name earlier did I?" Swinging asked. "Well, I'm Swinging Breeze, although most people just call me Swinging." He answered, returning to happiness. I hope she doesn't think I'm insane or something... He thought, realizing he had switched emotions again.

Fire was trying to remember where exactly she was meant to go, something that she should have remembered but totally forgot.

 

It wasn't easy to remember things when they were told to you while half asleep. She had been set up on a blind date thing by a couple of her colleagues and they only told her this, this morning. There was some yelling that morning at her base.   

She got dressed quite quickly, a normal looking jacket was the only thing she wore. Though it was quite normal. 

It was her favourite jacket, and it was part of the civilian uniform when she had to go out to the public, and it wasn't something too important. It also went quite well with her fur coat, and really was perfect for most situations.

 

Fire decided to go right, she was sure that it was the way she was told. As she walked down the path a gazebo came up, the place where she needed to be. And it seemed that her date was already there.

"Hello." He responded. He didn't know that she was military as well, but he was scanning her over. Even without more than the short exchange he could tell that she was noticeably older than him. Also seeing that she was wearing casual clothes also made him feel ridiculous to say the least. "So," He started, hoping to draw attention away from the elephant in the room. "Can I ask your name?"

Fire smiled when she saw that her date was actually someone from the military. She hadn't expected that at all. So since she was just like herself she would tell him her name like how she normally would.

"I'm Commanding General Fire Sharp, of the Special Ops. Its nice to see you went to the trouble to look nice tonight. And Can I ask yours?"

"I'm Second Lieutenant Chain Mail." He responded, he breathed an almost unnoticeable sigh of relief when he heard that she was also a soldier. "Presently on force leave to learn about civilian life." He added with customary a customary salute to his, under normal circumstances anyway, CO. 'Actually, other than Princess Luna this is the only general I've ever met.' He thought to himself.

Fire laughed a little when he said that he was on leave to learn about civilian life, they had put her through it too for a time being. And they did it every time somepony died on their team.  

"They do that to you, learn about civilian life. Apparently soldiers work themselves to hard. And in some cases they do, but sometimes its ridiculous. I went through it and now when anypony I know dies out in the field I have to go and do the same."
