CMC try and make a new friend

So I was watching that Button's Adventure short on Youtube and this one line got me thinking about something. In the short Button said, I don't care much about getting a cutie mark or something like that. 

 

Then that got me thinking. What would happen if the CMC tried to make friends with a pony, who did not care about getting their cutie mark? They just want to take their time with it and just wait for it to happen. They just want to have fun right now and wait a little bit before growing up.

 

I think it would be an interesting idea. The CMC could try and understand their point of view or try and connives this pony that a cutie mark would make things a lot better for them. Maybe even at the end the pony say, they don't want to be friends with them because they take this so seriously. Than the CMC learn a much harder lesson. Or maybe the CMC hopefully learn to take their time and not let name calling affect them from having fun.

 

So what does everyone think of this idea?

Well, now I want to see what people think of the idea and how do they think the episode would play out.

 

Do the CMC convenes this Pony getting a cutie mark is important?

 

Everyone is different or taking your time is not a bad idea?

 

Enjoy the time you have with your friends and not rush growing up?

 

Or just any idea other people have for this idea.

That would make for an interesting episode. I think at this point the CMC can not be convinced that getting their cutie marks isn't the most important thing for them (and I wouldn't want them to be ) but it'd be interesting to see a character their age who thins that way. They surely wouldn't give up their quest but they could still learn a lesson from this. The episode where they get their Cutie Marks will be fun to see and the events of an episode like this could influence what the CMC will think and how they are going to feel when this eventually happens.

its a drawing a saw. it basically made her cutie mark an infinitely repeating cutie mark.

I don't think they would get along so well, the pony that the CMC are trying to befriend them would have no interest  in participating in all the random activities they do to try and get a cutie mark....They would just simply want to do something they'd normally do. Though the CMC would probably bug them the whole episode in joining the CMCs and they may or may not eventually give in. OR the pony they're trying to be friend gets they're own cutie mark during the episode, with out the help of the CMCs.

 

and maybe the moral of the story would be"Things will come to those that are patient"

It'd be intriguing, but it'd be rather odd to see. It'd likely make a good lesson, though. As well as a copypasta punchline of a previous episode.

the friend idea might be the next step, if their gonna stall on them getting the cutie mark idea.

Well it depends on the pony's personality. If they got a pony like Button Mash, who says he doesn't really care about his cutie mark, that doesn't necessarily mean he wouldn't go along with all their wacky antics and different things they try to get them. It could simply be about how much FUN he has doing it. He'd could just be along for the ride, which would really make it a lot for enjoyable for him if he isn't straining for a cutie mark.
