What character will be the first failed redemption?

I've enjoyed (and hopefully this one hasn't been tackled yet) the many redemption threads.

 

who's gonna be the first Yo, Yo?  What comes up must go down.  That's a very important lesson.  Not everyone who goes good stays good.

 

The more i think the idea the more i wanna see more people redeemed just so when one does relapse it's a big surprise.

 

We only really have two candidates.
Discord and trixie. (forgot luna)  Who I guess Luna is our First Yo, Yo.

Seeing as how the show is for the most part benevolent that's gonna grow.  Hell there's that one Villian Candice redeemed from her book.

 

If it was heart wrenching, unexpected, a delightful swerve,

and with discord on the good guy side he'd make a fantastic scape goat if you were a lapsing villain and you needed a red hearing.

Queen Chrysalis would probably be the first failed redemption, since she isn't the villain that would want to be redeemed. She is one of those villains that can and will stay pure evil just like how King Sombra would not be able to be redeemed either.

Now this is gonna be a bad example but in Shaolin showdown they tried to convince Jack splicer to switch over to the good side.

 

There's a moment when he discards the good side for the bad "did you ever really try to be good."

He naturally lies and says "No."

Now naturally (I like Jack) the impact that moment has is kinda ruined by the character using it is a total boob.

 

I'd like to see that attached to a Villain lamenting on mlp.  I'm not disagreeing Chyrselias isn't to far gone,

i think it would be marvelous to see her bothered by that.

I would actually be surprised if they were almost able to reform Chrysalis. They could use what she likes, but use it against her.

Princess celestial decides in her mercy, something something... and we get her to almost convert.

que flash back's on what ever made Chyselias what she is today in the first place.

 

That alone makes it worth the episode.

I feel like they could make a pretty depressing episode with Sunset Shimmer.  For example, after the portal closes, the people in the human world don't quite forgive her as Twilight said they would.  Instead, she is mocked and ridiculed, and no matter how hard she tries, nobody will be her friend.  Filled with shame and hatred, when the portal opens again, she returns to Equestria to hunt down Twilight and punish her for 'lying' to her.

 

I dunno; if done well, it could probably get a tear or two out of me.
