imlizyeah 56 October 23, 2013 Share October 23, 2013 In the episode where the main ponies tell the story of how they got their cutie mark we learn that pinkie pie grew up on a rock farm with her family. We don't get to learn much about them or her past life... am I the only person who truly wants to know more about rock farming, why they do it, how and what life was like for rock farmers? I thought the concept was charming.
Scootalove 10,689 October 23, 2013 Share October 23, 2013 I think that life for rock farmers looked pretty depressing, for what I saw. I don't really know ponies can actually farm rocks, but I want to know more. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
ReverseFaller 2,484 October 23, 2013 Share October 23, 2013 Whenever I hear the term Rock Farming this video comes to mind. Anyways, I can't imagine that rock farming would be a very fun life at all. I'm glad Pinkie's life is better off now than It was back then. I myself would like to know more about rock farming. Why? Why farm rocks, of all things? 3 Credit for the signature goes to Kyoshi

I think their depression could be caused by any sort of life event. Afterall life is what you make of it. =P I don't know, I just really liked the idea XD

I mean i'm kinda curious. I'm prepared to waste an episode LOL screw it. (worse case scenario). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,
Renon Strike 67 October 27, 2013 Share October 27, 2013 i can't say i wanted to know the purpose of rock farming but now i'm curious for what reasons would Equestria need more rocks?, is it primarily for the gems, i suppose it would be a booming business for fashion designers. Malinter 3,064 October 27, 2013 Share October 27, 2013 Once read a comment that implied a rock farm was an illegal drugs farm as i'm sure one of them actually is nicknamed "Rock" (Cannabis i think, not sure). 1 My OC's: Malinter, Rahl, Vengeful impact & alias-the-marked-one First fic i've written since forever here Skype: Malinter@Outlook.com "Defeating a sandwich only makes it tastier." most legendary quote ever. GhostPony750 959 October 27, 2013 Share October 27, 2013 If you remember, Trixie had to find a job in a rock farm after Twilight destroyed her business. Maybe they use these rocks for building materials, dunno.
Cwanky 17,643 October 27, 2013 Share October 27, 2013 Rock farm seems to be a colloquial expression for a quarry, which is a place where rocks are mined from. It would be interesting to learn more about rock farming since Pinkie gives us such a limited perspective. I don't think the practice is so much depressing, well probably for Pinkie , as it seemingly boring and excessively routine. Her family seems pretty interesting and it'd be great to learn more about their history or how they've changed over the years. Also Pinkie's right, some people like Trixie don't appreciate hard work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSJS5ZtGI2Y Sorry Pinkie but given what Trixie did, I wouldn't mind condemning her to a rock farm for a very long time. Venomshank 121 October 27, 2013 Share October 27, 2013 The value is not in the rocks themselves, but in the arable land provided by their relocation to other species. #superserious Just an everyday guy, doing everyday things.http://askelectrondaydream.tumblr.com/
