Discordian 6,015 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 (edited) We got kicked out of our home and had to move immediately and I had to go live in some place with like twenty men and women and my mom and brother went to live somewhere else. We had to leave pretty much everything behind cuz we had no room for it but we would get it back eventually. The terrifying part was not having contact with my mom, I felt lost like that. ;-; Of course, that was just a dream and I can't control myself in my dreams at all so if it happened in reality I wouldn't react nearly the same way but I felt so alone even though I was surrounded by people I knew in that house. Holy shit that was a scary dream and I thought it was reality too until I woke up. I was like "Thank god that was a dream" as soon as I woke up. ;-; Edited February 25, 2012 by Raronoopa
Demi 545 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 That does sound absolutely terrifying. It's always a nice feeling when you wake up and realize it was all fake though. But I too, had a horrifying nightmare beyond the boundaries of normal fear. I stepped into the kitchen, reached for my favorite box of cereal, poured a full up to the brim bowl, then went to grab the milk... but when I grabbed the jug... it was empty!
Starshine 16,335 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 It's okay. At least it's just a dream right? Living away from your parent and sibling can be hard at times, but it's not impossible. Heck, everyone will have to do so at a certain point in the future. Now there's no use fusing about a dream! Just go and hug your mom while you still can
Discordian 6,015 February 25, 2012 Author Share February 25, 2012 The weird thing about dreams like this for me is the fact that if I really were in that situation I wouldn't freak out nearly as much as I do in my dreams. My dreams have a way of making me feel things I normally wouldn't and thus making it ten times worse than it actually would be in reality. I have no plans to move out of my mom's house for a long while. I'd rather have a higher income before I did that rather than working just above minimum wage in every job I work. lol
Queen Cassie 3,058 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 Nightmares like that can be rather frightening. I have regular nightmares myself...tis why I rarely sleep well. Important thing to remember is that a nightmare is all it was...it can't hurt you now. (I know you know that, but it still helps to hear it spoken, right?) Used to be known on here as Kyronea. Skye Starlight 223 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 The worst thing is waking up from the best dream ever and realizing it was in your imagination, and not real... I mean, have you ever woken up from a great dream where your crush was about to kiss you? It hits worse if you crush doesn't like you, or has a Girlfriend/Boyfriend... Anyone else had this happen to them? 3 I am prone to leaving both short and long posts as well as with my profile feed... I made this I am so proud of myself! Fluttershy4life 150 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 That is really terrifying, i think the most scary dreams are the ones that actually could happen or are the most realistic

Akemi Homura 7,680 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 Perhaps the next time like this happens, you could try practicing lucid dreaming beforehand. That way, you can at least try to do that per dream to see if the guys in your dream can be affected. About a week ago I had a dream within a dream, where within the first dream, I saw a horrifying creature in a mirror of my bathroom as I was coming out of the shower. I tried bolting out the door but it was sealed. The creature was about to do something but I realized this was all in my head. I suddenly woke up... but, I was still dreaming. I went to the living room and saw my mom and grandma sitting down with candles burning (no lights). They chatted with me briefly. And then I woke up, for real this time. Nightmares usually indicate you dislike something about yourself, something else, or some other person. Or maybe you're just afraid something will happen, or perhaps you're running away from something in the real world but you aren't aware of it. If anything, nightmares are more like journeys which can help you identify your fears in the real world and such. It's up to you to conquer these fears. And hey, if you start to fight back in your nightmares, you will probably find the solution to your problem soon enough. Hope this helped.

Strafe 594 February 25, 2012 Share February 25, 2012 I know how you feel. I've had the same nightmare for years, the one where my hometown becomes a warzone, its creepy because its a dream that has a really small chance of coming true. "The Gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again." Discordian 6,015 February 25, 2012 Author Share February 25, 2012 I haven't had a nightmare since I was 6 years old and now suddenly at 21 I've had the one I created this topic for and then went back to sleep and had an extension of it where I learned we lost where we lived cuz we were being accused of growing honey from beehives here and even when I tried to tell my mom they can't do that she said they can and we can't do anything about it. Then it flipped over back to that place I was staying and everyone was going to a tea shop or something and then when I refused to go my mom walked in and said I would go whether I liked it or not and threatened to drop sharp knifes on my head and she actually did and when I moved out of the way she lit something on fire and I sat there afraid. First nightmare in 15+ years and it's something that actually scared me. Figures. And yet again it's something that I would never react to the same way in reality. I really wish I could control my dreams sometimes but I don't. I have no control over myself when I'm in a dream but I also don't even realize it's a dream until I wake up. But oh well, no need to worry about it. I'll never have that dream again, I'm sure of it. The only reason it continued was because I went to sleep like an hour after I had the dream and it was still in my mind pretty good. lol Also, I have epic dreams all the time and I wake up from them right before the good parts. Right before the kiss, right before I slay the demon, right before the BOW CHIKA WOWOW and it sucks. xD
