Bronyette 835 November 16, 2013 Share November 16, 2013 I'm in the process of making an offsite roleplay on my own board. I was wondering if I can post a link to it on my profile or even in my signature. I was on a board not too awfully long ago that prohibited links to offsite sources, so I wanted to make sure before I did so. Also can I ask for help with it as well even though it isn't an on-site roleplay? Thank you. Click on the Banner for more info!
Solution Okeen 49 November 16, 2013 Solution Share November 16, 2013 (edited) Hey, Bronyette. Here is the link where you can read the global forum rules, and I think this rule prohibits the posting of off-site links OUTSIDE of your signature and website field ; http://mlpforums.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules I think this makes it so you can put it in your "website field" which you can do by editing your profile with "My Settings" and scrolling down to "Contact Methods." Also, you can post it in your signature. Just don't make any threads on your site here. Here's the rule below in full ; "Advertising your own site is not permitted outside of your signature and the website field in your profile. Trying to make money off of our members in any way isn't cool, either, whether it involves trying to sell anything on MLP Forums, soliciting donations for any reason, or referring people to some shady rewards program. If you want to advertise or collect money here, please get in touch with Feld0 to seek permission." Advertising might be something like "Play free games on games4free.com!", where she just wants to host a roleplay on a separate website. It is probably a good idea to get permission though. 1 Signature by . My personal website: Mitchfizz05.net.

As a general rule of thumb, you should only link to your personal site outside of your signature and the website field on your profile if you have received directly expressed permission from an administrator. If anyone wishes to seek permission to do such, they are always free to send in a support ticket filed under General Site Questions to contact the administration about it.
